Who is from Wisconsin?

I live in Franklin, a suburb of Milwaukee and have always wondered where all the Wisconsin DVC members are. Where are you? I joined in 92, have 500 points and have gone to OKW repeatedly, Vero beach a few times, BWV once, The American Club at Kohler, the Grand Hotel at Mackinac Island, the Royal Garden in London, the Plaze Hotel in New York, the Grand Californian in Disneyworld, and the Whitehall Hotel in Chicago. Ask me about any of them! Tell me what you've done with your points.

We are transplants from Michigan (December 2000) and now live in Waukesha. Joined DVC in February 02 after many stays at “Dixie Landings”. Will make our third trip in November, the good lord willing.

We in Twin Lakes, this is SW of Lake Geneva. Been members since 96. 245 OKW & 100 BCV. Loved every min of being members.

Hey DVC Grandpa! We are also transplants from Michigan! We are originally from the U.P., then lived in Rochester Hills for 6 yrs. before coming to WI.

Forgot to mention previous post....we are new BCV members (last year) and stayed at BCV in March. Can't wait to go back!

Hi there!

We just bought into the DVC (awaiting our first real trip home in November at VWL) and we're from Janesville. We stayed at OKW for the first time (as someone else's guest) last March and absolutely loved it!
Hopefully, we'll be able to add on some points as we go. Makes the Wisconsin winters (when we have them) seem shorter, doesn't it?

I'm a part-time Wisconsiner. We live in Chicago and have a place north of the Dells area along the river. Love Wisconsin as much as Disney. We've got around 400 points with OKW as our home. We're splitting time this coming August between OKW and BCV.

After renting points for 3 trips (OKW in August 2002, BCV/BWV in December 2002 and BCV in March 2003!), my DH and I just had our resale approved at BWV this week! We are from Marinette - on the border of the U.P.

I am already thinking of adding on at BCV if my closing happens fast enough!

Were from up north near Superior! It takes us about 27 hours to drive straight through from home to "home" at VWL. We joined in Jan 2001, added on and also purchased a resale last year. We have made the trip to Disneyworld 7 times now and even squeezed a Disneyland trip in there. By the way it takes about 42 hours to get to Disneyland driving straight through!(Good thing by parents have a motorcoach). We love to travel and live in Wisconsin!

Wisconsin is a great state to escape from for a while in the winter! It seems like none of those who responded have used their points closer to home. It is possible you know!

We're from suburban Milwaukee, too. We own 300 OKW purchased at resale in 1997 and another 100 at BWV. So far, all of our points have been used at DVC resorts. We've stayed at all of the Florida ones except for BCV.

Back in 96 we started planning a "once-in-a-lifetime" WDW trip. We had one grandaughter at that time, and there was a second on the way. We originally booked a cash 2BR at BWV. When you added up the package, I realized we could be well on our way to 45 years of vacations. And since I take my job as a grandpa seriously, we decided to take the plunge.

We bought our resale sight unseen (we hadn't been to WDW in 15 years, before Epcot was built), but after a lot of internet research. Those were the glory days of resale, let me tell you. Disney wasn't buying things back, so the price was low. And our resale came with free park passes through 1999. It was a no-brainer!

The highlight so far was spending three nights in a beach cottage at VB. But I'm sure there's lots more highlights to come. We're going to HHI for a week in August, and DCL next year.

We're from Appleton. Joined in 1997 after a few years of trying to decide. Missed out on free passes but got an ice cream sundae at the Commadore House! 200 pts at OKW and 75 at BWV. We're always in borrowing mode but seem to be able to get two shorter trips per year. Love Hilton Head and Vero. Plaza in NYC last summer. Way cool! Next trip- October Grand Villa w/3 couples for golf trip at OKW. Go Badgers

Boy I was beginning to think we were the only WI DVCer's . We have 245 BWV's and hoping to add on another 55 or so(just called the guide today for the extra points they are freeing up ). We joined in 2000 via resale and have added on once will be twice soon . My husband has been itching to stay at the Grand Hotel so maybe in a year or two I will give in to his wants and sacrifice MY precious points . My husband just asked today if I was going to buy enough points to stay the winter at BWV I of course said that I'm working at it but have a long way to go.
O'well its good to know that I'm not the only WI DVCer

Well, I hope we count even though we don't live in the BEST state in the Nation anymore. My husband was born and raised in a little town between Appleton and Green Bay called Green Leaf, and we lived in Brookfield (Milwaukee area) for about 9 years. then- we lived in AUstrailia for 18 mos. and moved to Michigan- just north of Ann Arbor. So- we want to say hi to all our fellow cheeseheads and wing fans!!
We just joined the DVC in March and own at BCV- our first trip with our 200 pts. is set for Jan-2004! Can hardly wait to go home!!!

SUSSEX We live in Sussex a little west of Milwaukee. We have been DVC members since 2001 at VWL. We wish we had bought in alot sooner as then our points would have been paid for by now. We bought 200 and I would love to get more. We also are not ready to spend points anywhere other than at DW, maybe if we had more points. We will be staying for the first time in a two bedroom villa this Nov. with my sister and family so we had to borrow points from next year. Now trying to find someone to buy those points back for our next tripNov. of 2004. looks like there are quite a few of us Wisconsin DVC's. GO PACK!!!!!!!
