Who here is not in the "clique" like me?

Thundersnow?? Cool. Don't think I've heard of such a thing... or heard it either.

We watched Grease tonight. The kids seemed to like it. Lyzzie was surprised that she's heard some of the songs before, but can't figure out where she heard them. I forgot how much innuendo that movie has! But I figured, it all went over my head when I was a kid, it'll sail right over hers too.

I usually don't spike my nog with anything stronger than nutmeg. But it's been one of those days. Y'know, nothing goes wrong, but it just feels tiring. Whipped up a nice batch of seasoned oyster crackers this morning, followed by some penuche this afternoon. My kitchen now resembles a disaster zone.

Thunderice?

I think I had some thunderice at the Chinese restaurant yesterday.

The Chinese place had their tree back up this year -- thankfully this time Emma did not provide a running commentary on her favorite color (blue) ornaments (balls).

My goofball kids went outside to play in the snow, and what did they play with? The swingset. The one that sat there all summer, untouched.

And ice. Lyzzie found this piece that had a silouhette of a Scottie dog stuck on it in snow! She did not do this, it was naturally that shape.

They just had a generally good time. I chickened out and stayed inside, except to poke my head out once in a while and take pictures.

awww, they look like they are having so much fun!!!!! The snow is sure beautiful!!!

I love that they are playing on the swingset.:lmao: :lmao:

Lyzzie sure has an "eye" for hidden characters, doesn't she?? I would have never picked that out of a piece of ice, but when she is holding it up, it does look like a scottie dog!!!!!

We rented and watched "Ghost Rider" tonight. It's one of our favorite movies.

I baked a bunch of cookies too.

Hello 2x2s!! Nice to see ou this evening.

It was okay. Had its good parts and its not so good parts.

We FINALLY bought a Christmas tree today. Haven't put it up and decorated it yet......but we bought it.

We'll decorate tomorrow.

How are YOU!?!

I'm sorry you had some not so good parts during your day. Some will just be like that, just keep thinking positively. I know, easier said than done, huh?? Just remember you have us!!!!

You'll appreciate this------my first year in my house I got my tree from Ted Drewe's.:lmao:
They have a tree lot but still sell frozen custard.
I have a pre-lit artificial one now, but I still drive by Ted's to see the lot. It just looks so cute and old-fashioned.

Have fun decorating yours tomorrow. Do the kids help??

Mmmmmm, coooooookies. What kind? I have only baked sugar cookies so far for this Christmas, but I'm finding that I'm much more into the candy this year. Marzipan, buckeyes, penuche, chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered chow mein noodles, and divinity. Yum! I'm trying VERY hard to save it all for the festivities, but I don't think it's all going to make it.

Yes, I do. And no matter what, you always cheer me up.

Oh, they absolutely help!!! They love putting decorations on the tree!!!

I know!!!! I was on the phone and all of a sudden heard it thundering. Very wierd. I thought I was hearing things, but alas, it was true.

I love Grease!!!! I know what you mean about the innuendoes. It did go over our heads and all we "saw" was the singing and dancing. I do remember having a little crush on Danny's friend----the one that Jeff something played. Isn't that terrible?? I can't remember the name. Kin something. Help me out here.:lmao:
I am not, however, a Grease 2 fan!!!! I guess it's my age, because I know people who love that one and don't even remember the first.:sad2:

Thank you.

We've had thundersnow here before. It's kinda cool and scary at the same time.

Also.....last weekend when we had the ice storm......we had LOTS of thunder and lightning. LOTS!!!

Thunderice?

oh, that's wierd!!! Thunderice??? impressive.

Chocolate chunk.

Kinike (I think I murdered the spelling, will be back after checking it) played by Jeff Conaway.

I never saw Grease until I was in college (I know!) and it took me a while to love the cheesiness of it. But Grease 2? Sucked donkey.

ETA: Kenickie. Huh, never would have guessed to spell it that way.

Reminds me of A Christmas Story when they ended up at the Chinese restaurant.:rotfl2:

Emma and her ornaments of blue.:rotfl:

Which bring me to yet another "which reminds me"................did you watch the SNL special the other night???? "Schwetty Balls" was on.:rotfl2:
Isn't it DznyFan who loves that skit??

Good evening Lesa!! Are you feeling better??

Hey guys!

2x I think it's been almost forever since we've been on at the same time! :yay: How ya doing? How's gramma? Sorry I made you late for work! I was calling to see if you could squeeze Britt in, she needed major help after the tweezers attacked her eyebrows in her sleep again. ;) :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Hi Pozey and lyzziesmom!

Speaking of DznyFan.....

Has anyone heard from her in the past couple of days? Wonder if the power at her house has been restored yet?

Remind me of Ghost Rider???? I know I've heard of it, but don't recall if I've seen it.

Send some cookies my way, please. I need something sweet with my nog.

thanks hun.
