Has anyone heard from her in the past couple of days? Wonder if the power at her house has been restored yet?

Yeah, we got power sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. I've been juggling cats all week at work with having a whole building down. DH shop still doesn't have power. Everybody's been pretty cranky around my house. I didn't realize it'd been a few days since my last post.

Lesa, glad you're feeling better! Did I read that Maddie was under the weather now? Get well soon, girl! It's almost Christmas!

YM - pixie dust for BOTH DSes that one gets better and the other doesn't come down with anything before or during your trip!

She has a few bare spots. I had to hide the tweezers on her. I told her if she let them grow out I would take her to have them done. She was almost there.

Lizziesmom I loved the pictures of the kids in the snow.

Poor Maddie!!! That's sweet of her to try to make you feel better, though. I'm sure it's hard for her since she is so prone to the asthma kicking in.

I have seen so many young girls who mess up their brows. I wish I did live closer, because I've also seen many "professionals" do a horrible job on brows, too. I've fixed many "bad" brows.

Hi everyone!

This day seemed to just fly by. We had to do some errands like go to the bank, the post office, and pick up contacts at the eye doctor, and then we did some early (or is it late??) spring cleaning. I even moved the couch and was cleaning! I love to come home to a nice clean house from vacation.

But right now I have a rash from my neck all the way down my legs!! I am really hoping its not chicken pox. I've had it before and I googled images online but it doesnt really help. It's been speading all day and I am itching like crazy! It could be hives which I used to get all the time, Jeremiah has the same rash on his back. I can't get anything like that, not now! I doubt they would let me on the cruise. (Does anyone ever get the urge to spell 'cruise' 'crusie' ?? I misspell it all the time!)

Lesa, hope you get to feeling 100% soon!! I still have a little cough from when I was sick about a month ago!!! I did that same 'over plucking' when I was a teenager! It was pretty bad and my Mom always yelled at me, like I'm sure you yell at Britt!! Luckily I outgrew that phase! ETA, I want to see pics of her beautiful straight teeth! I'm jealous!

hi everyone! I had computer problems for a while but thanks to ash and my wonderful son in law, its doing much better. whew! i have a lot to catch up on! sorry I didnt get to say have a good trip to our travelers! Jealous!

I am very excited because we are meeting ash & jeremiah in Key West on Saturday! we are driving up Friday night, (late) and staying until Sunday morning. We are staying at the Key Lime Inn. we stayed there once before, about 4 years ago I guess.

I usually don't spike my nog with anything stronger than nutmeg.

I have a funny eggnog story, when I was in high school, I was over at my friends house, her family was having eggnog. we could have ours "spiked" if we wanted, ( I had a little liquor, cant remember what kind.) well anyway, I look at my friend and she has a red ring around her mouth.. I asked her what it was and she said...well, you know, it must be from the PAPRIKA that I sprinkled on top of the eggnog! I was like, umm its Nutmeg that you are supposed to use! I think of this every time I drink egg nog. speaking of which, eggnog shake, yum! I may go to Mcdonalds to check this out!

The thing that comes to my mind is if you used something new----laundry detergent, soap, cleaning agent while you were doing your spring cleaning??? I typed up the following reply last night, but my 'puter froze up. Luckily I copied it and it's still here this morning, so here ya go.


Lesa: I hope Maddie doesn't get the crud too bad. I keep thinking one of us is going to come down with something awful just in time to ruin our trip next month - like Emma's hip virus coming back or my stupid ankles. I love reading about what Britt is up to, it's like a sneak peek into Lyzzie's future! Eyebrow plucking, oh my! That's something I never attempted at home. Waxing yes, plucking no. I can't stand when I see girls that have a thin line of eyebrows about 4 hairs tall. Do they think that looks good? Or over-arched -- that just makes them look evil. Emma has the evil eyebrow arch, it's cute on her but she definitely inherited that from her "father." When she gets mad she's like a cute little Nicholson!

The kids are fast asleep and all the way across the house I can hear Emma snoring - she's doing this whistly thing at the moment that is cracking me UP!

DznyFan: I hope the power comes back on and you can put those cats down!


The girls can't wait to go back out in the snow again tomorrow. I had gotten Emma some snow pants (overalls, actually) and a waterproof coat and mittens for Christmas and ended up giving them to her today as an early gift. She was gloating to Lyzzie because she didn't get anything -- never mind that it was because she didn't NEED anything! Emma was so thrilled she started stripping right then & there and trying to put the snow gear on!

Good morning, all!

Sorry I had to run so quick last night, I was a little disappointed. I guess I should have checked in a little earlier.

My dad is coming into town tomorrow!!! So I'm doing a deep cleaning in the house again - the stuff that never gets done - the cabinets, the venthood, the oven, stuff like that. Plus, we're having Christmas dinner at our house this year, which I don't mind since it keeps us from sharing Christmas dinner with half a dozen dogs. My sister kills me. She decided that my younger nephew's girlfriend (whom he has been dating for a whopping two weeks, and it's his first girlfriend) is going to come with them over here for Christmas dinner. Didn't ask if we minded, just said to plan for her coming. Dating for two weeks and I'd bet money she's got a wedding date set.

DH got all the trees cleaned up yesterday after we went to his company's Christmas party and a performance Erin had. Busy, busy day.

2X thanks for the great breakfast! I stole a bite or two of YM's donuts, too... have fun with the kiddies today!

Lyzziesmom - we finally got power back to that building on Friday. I think I'm done juggling cats for the time being. Now I've just got to close out my accounting month at work in the next three days. Trying to take Thursday and Friday off. We'll see if that happens.

Hey, Ashley! If it's a rash and Jeremiah has it too, probably not chicken pox. (unless you guys were exposed at the same time and he hasn't had them, either). When do you leave for your cruise?? Maybe try to find some hydrocortisone cream or something.

Thank you! I'm glad I feel better too, I was tired of sleeping so much. Now if I could lose this awful cough. Yeah, the little stinker kept snuggling me while I was sick to try and make me feel better. I figured if anyone would catch it she'd be the one. I just have to keep an eye on her, I'm worried it will flare up her asthma.

Lesa...glad you are feeling better. I hope Maddie doesn't get sick. DS has a sinus infection and he's really coughing a lot. I'm almost considering giving him some orapred from our emergency stash just to give him a boost for our vacation.

DznyFan...thanks for the well wishes...fingers are crossed. I actually woke up sluggish this morning. I guess this time of year it's the weather and illness...just a risk. I think we will be fine...colds and sinus are better than vomitting or the flu.

Gotta go fix the TV for DS.

I was showing the kids Ruby's MySpace page this morning. They loved it! They got a kick out of all the pictures and captions -- Lyzzie especially liked the caption about humping even though she has no idea what it means. Oops! I slept in this morning and my morning was filled with weird Disney hotel dreams. I dreamed that I got a rate for $30 at a mod - then when I got there the room was JUST big enough to fit a bed in there, wall to wall. I complained and they said it was a new "value mod" category. (Maybe I shouldn't give WDW any ideas!)

Well I'd better go get the kids before they freeze, they are out in the snow again and don't have the good sense to know when they're cold.
