I think Linda may just about be arriving at MCO. I'm still here until VERY early tomorrow morning.
I got the last of my toiletries packed and my ME tags on the luggage. Now I just have to cross my fingers that the weather isn't a problem. Snow and a winter mix is predicted for our area (St. Louis) sometime in the night. 1-3 inches of snow is in the forecast.


Nathan has had his bath and my goal is to be in bed by 8pm....we'll see how that goes!!

Hey guys...my mom went home so I'm back online! By the way she told me to tell you guys that "the mom" said go pack. The news said they are down to 78,000 people without power around Tulsa. I think our snow storm for tomorrow has been down graded.

I had to take DS to the Dr today. He has a sinus infection and pink eye. Hopefully his meds will kick and he be in good shape by Tuesday! Then we have to keep the 'other' kid healthy too.

Pink eye - yucky yucky YUCK! Hope he feels better soon and you can keep it contained. Just before I was pregnant with Emma my dad picked up pink eye somewhere and we must have passed it around the family for 6 months. I actually quit going back to college because of it - was trying to drive to class one night in a mild snowstorm, feeling nauseous (just found out I was pregnant a couple weeks earlier) and wearing my glasses which I can't see for crap out of farther than across a room, terrified I was going to drive off the highway or plow into another car. I got about a mile in 30 minutes and said "To heck with this!" turned around and went back home, and decided it was all just too much.

I asked my mom this morning for some recipes and this evening she gave me "the family cookbook" of desserts that her mother gave her when I was little. It's an Eagle Brand promotional cookbook!! She did decide to make the divinity and send it home with me, and said she's so glad she didn't "let" me make it because it was really hard. It came out SOOOO good though, I'm trying to save it for Christmas but I keep sneaking little pieces - at this rate it won't make it through the weekend!

Had Chinese for dinner tonight (yummy!) and I had to keep Emma's fortune. It said, "Did you remember to order the take-out?" WTH?! I'm going to tape it to my monitor at work, next to the one that says, "Do not eat your fortune."

Then we went to CVS for some shopping because I had a coupon for free tissues and I still had some "free" money left from when I got a bunch of Rx's there on their $25 gift card promotion. Using that & some coupons and Extra Care Bucks (which I still don't fully understand, but whatever) I spent $11 and got a Swiffer WetJet, the tissues, a gift for my mom from the kids (a lighted "Perfect Touch" electric trimmer for shaping eyebrows & stray hairs, I LOVE mine and use it all the time), a gift for *ahem, ahem* *wink wink* a toy donation at work (really for Lyzzie, some Blendy Pens that she picked out), a jingle bell necklace to reward Lyzzie for taking out the trash, some candy canes & assorted baking items, some of my favorite Burt's Bees hand cream, and a bunch of other stuff I can't think of right now. We made out like bandits!! I love saving money!


I showed Lyzzie the crisp new $100 bill that I got today as my Xmas bonus. She had never seen one before and was seriously impressed. Emma wanted to make an airplane out of it.

Chase had pink eye about a week ago. The doc gave him some drops and it was gone within 48 hours.

Yep...I hope we get it contained. I'm taking the drops to WDW just in case anyone else decides to become infected. I'm a little worried about the antibiotic they gave DS. Last Nov he had a reaction to Omicef...which is a cephalosporin drug. Today they gave us augmentin which is in the penicillin family. The pharmacist told me they can cross react so I called the Dr. The Dr on call said that was true in about 10% of the time but told me to give it to him anyway? Geez I hope this turns out ok.

Wow lyzzismom...you got all that stuff for $11....that's great!

Yep, I will be home tomorrow packing but hopefully not shoveling snow. We will be careful with the pink eye. The Dr acted like it might be from the sinus infection but I'm sure it's still contagious...after all it's oozie. Really...you DIS board people have me dreaming of poetry and ponytails...wierd.
