You guys didn't think you were gonna get away that easily, did ya?? :teeth: :hyper2: :hyper2: :hyper2:

Lyzziesmom--nananana****oo right back at ya--you doo doo head!!
And that's okay that he spent just a couple of hours with you because he is with me the rest of the week. :p (this is me giving you the "raspberries")

Well, unfortunately my 4 hr. appt. turned into a 6 hr. because they got started an hour late and then messed up on one of the meds so it was putting saline in instead of the meds so that wasted another hour. So much for my day off. I have to do this again tomorrow and Thursday as well, but have to go to work right after. double yuk!!

I did stop by Target--imagine that-- and no sale yet on Shabby Chic. I did find a cute t-shirt with, guess what--an OWL on the front of it!!!! I couldn't resist. I will save it for our cliqueless meet IF we ever get it together. I started cracking up in the middle of Target.

Donna--hope your back to reality Monday wasn't too rough on you. Yes, PDS--post Disney syndrome--sucks.
Oh, your Mommy Moment--I just read--sniff sniff

Linda--I was going to give you my bank acct. number but I see that a couple of people here already beat me to it so I doubt any is left. Do you think you can make the same mistake tomorrow and put me at the top of your list??
I remember years ago when I ran payroll for a company--I accidentally paid someone 4000 hrs instead of 40.00---BIG OOPS--luckily I caught it before the checks went out.

Pozey--whoa, looks and skills for DD?? Yep, get ready now for when she's older, I'm tellin' ya.

Aahh--that was me!!!!! The sweet young thang from northern Missouri passing through--at Wal Mart. Wasn't I cute?? Yes, you do look like JD--that's the only reason I talked to you. :smokin:

Gotcha!! :teeth:

What does Alt-tab do?? I'm afraid----to--touch--it.
BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, thanks for telling me that--now I have no brows. j/k-----really, what does this trick do??

MImom--- :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: yay for single digits!!!!!!!!
Yes, the car shop and I do not mix--HATE IT!!!!! Good luck with that. And Blake is out of town again?? I'm sorry.

Ashley--welome home!!!!
:sad2: :sad2: OMG--reading about you car issues. :sad2: :sad2:
Well, at least you had a good visit. And the cheesy place--never heard of it--very interesting. popcorn::
Hi Ruby-- pug: pug: :dogdance:

Hi Nicole, Amber, YM(we miss you), April, DznyFan, everyone else.

OMG--we have some touchy filters here!!!!

This is supposed to read nanananaboo--boo but since I didn't put the dash in I suppose it read as female chest parts. :lmao: :lmao:

And about my shortest post ever--I originally just wrote Hi. but it told me I did not have enough characters in my post. I'll give it characters. :teeth: :thumbsup2

Did I just kill it??

This thread??

For the evening??

:magnify: :magnify:

No more pretty green lights on.

Oh, well, I suppose I'd best get some sleep anyhow. Long day again tomorrow, so I most likely will be checking in late in the night--after work--around 9:30 or 10. Will anyone be here, or will I have to resort back to my solo conversation??
YM :worship: :worship: where are you when I need you, my late night chattin' buddy??

A-HOOT

Bless you.

I'm back, had to go take a shower. :snooty: (that's not a snooty smilie, it's a smellin' somethin' stinky smilie) I crack me up!! :rotfl2:

2x2s:: sounds like you had a pretty awful day. Worse than mine for sure.

Trying to get DS to go to bed. He goes to work with me on Mon., tues. and wed. Thurs and Fri he stays home with DH. DS is just not the morning person that I am. :sunny:

Guess I should call it a night, too!!!

Not dead, not dead! My computer has issues with me. More specifically, my computer at work hates me and has been talking with this one, which usually likes me but once in a while likes to get cheeky.

2x2s, you're cracking me up about the owl t-shirt! I would probably also laugh myself silly(er) out loud if I saw such a thing. You'll notice on my nanananaboo-boo post that I discovered the same tricky filter and had to edit.

Alt-tab will switch between programs that you have running. So theoretically, I could have an Excel spreadsheet running behind my DISing, and when I hear Boss's heels clicking around the corner I can do a quick alt-tab and the DIS will hide while Excel pops up. It's a handy little feature for those of us with office jobs. My boss, however, wears sneaky shoes so this feature does not always work. Lucky for me, as long as I'm getting my work done she doesn't give a hoot what I do.

While I'm talking to you, would you mind doing my payroll next week? I could use an extra 3960 hours before my WDW trip! Last month Corporate tried to reimburse me an extra $1400.00 and like the dunce that I am, I called them on it. There are 2 others in the parent company at other locations with my same first and last name (different spelling on the last name but a common mistake) and one with my first name and married last name, so I assumed the reimbursement was meant for one of them. Nope, turns out it belonged to a completely random person who didn't even realize they didn't get it. Man, sometimes being honest really sucks.

Figures I was falling asleep all day, and now that it is past my bedtime I'm wide awake. I blame it on that pesky lil' knee problem 2x2s is always yammering about. Hoot!

Good news! I can't remember if I mentioned that I've been trying to get Emma's last name changed... it's a problem because I can't get her dad's signature because he's gone AWOL on us. (Good riddance!) Well my attorney emailed me the petition today, I go in to sign on Wednesday and she will present it to the judge on Thursday. Basically due to my unique situation with the annulment and the fraud & all that, there is no precedent. They are usually reluctant to change a child's name without the consent of BOTH parents. But I'm told I have a solid case and the whole law firm has been helping research because they find this fascinating. Anyway, long story short... within a matter of months it should all be done. Yay! It's funny because Emma's current last name is an ethnic name and whenever I take her anywhere, to the Dr. etc, we get the Spanish-speaking nurse. Then they take one look at us and go, "Oh." I'm just so happy to be on the path to ridding ourselves of the constant reminder of you-know-who.

It's kind of sad, but I was thinking the other day about how, because the bad situation I had with Emma's father, it took me a long time before I could really see her for who she is and not where she came from. She looked a lot like him as an infant, not so much anymore. It's better now because I don't even see him in her at all, I just see my sweet little squeaky wheel.

Sorry for the downer there, the DIS can be great therapy sometimes to just VENT... pay no attention to the lady with all the mood swings!

Lyzziesmom::It's probably none of my business, but do Lyzzie and Emma have different fathers? I have seen you post about the one that lives in florida.

That's ok Donna. Yes they do have different fathers. The quick version: Lyzzie's dad lives in FL, we were together for about 4 years but never married, and we remain semi-friendly. 1500 miles distance will do that! He is a nice man but not a good father or partner, he acts more like a child himself.

Emma's father I was married to and later found out he had never divorced his first wife. Along with a bunch of other things I found out, such as an extensive criminal history and tax evasion. The only thing I'm certain that he didn't lie to me about is his name, and that's only because I've seen his birth certificate. He left when Emma was 2 months old.

So, long story short, I have found myself in a situation I never thought I'd be in. It's been very hard, especially after moving to the midwest where attitudes are a little different (more traditional) than I was used to in FL. That being said, I wouldn't trade what I have now for the world.

/
I hope you don't think I was trying to judge you. I just noticed that you mentioned changing Emma's name and not Lyzzie's. sorry I'm so nosey. You may be a little bit of a kook(join the club!!) but I can tell you're a terrific mom and your little girls are lucky to have you!!!

No it's ok Donna, I didn't think you were judging. A lot of people do, but once they get to know me they realize that we are just as "normal" a family as anyone else. I was a single mom to Lyzzie when I got married, and it just so happened that I made the mother of all bad decisions on that one and found myself a single mom again, this time of 2. Since I was not married to Lyzzie's dad, she already has my last name, and I'm working on Emma having it too. I know it can get confusing, sometimes even to me!

Thanks for the kind words, I am lucky to have them as well.

'Night all!

Hey everyone,

Wow, it seems like I missed alot while I was gone! Since we got the new car, tonight we decided to go to our favorite wing place thats about 30 miles away. It was fun and the food was yummy! For some reason, there aren't alot of wing places where I live and once I found out our favorite wing place that we went to in FL was close-ish, we decided to go. I've said it once, I'll say it again, I love air conditioning!!!

I'll try and catch up with everybody tomorrow!! Anybody want to give me a recap?? :teeth:

Good morning everyone!!!

Ashley:: Glad to hear the window got fixed on your car and now the air-contitioning stays inside where it should!!! I'll bet the drive home from Florida was a killer!!YEECH!!! The wings sound yummy.

So, now I think I will go check and see who has the closest countdown clock and start pestering them!!! Who is it guys? Lyzziesmom or Hellokitty86? I will be right back. I did a little slooth-type invesigation and realized it's....drumroll please MI Mom of 3 aka Michelle. Is it 8 more days? Where are you staying. Guess you're on the dining plan? How long will you be there?? Yes, I can be annoying!!

Has anybody caught on to the fact that I have NOT been in the breakfast cookin' mood since I got back from vacation? I keep waiting for somebody to show up and take my order!!! This breakfast will be in honor of April(wherever she may be!!!)

Thanks Donna!! :goodvibes I had to pop in this morning and share some Terrific News!! Last night I got a SouthWest DING! for $39 down and $39 back!!! :woohoo: I was able to change my reservations and so now DH and I are flying down to Disney for under $200!!! :cheer2: AND we have a credit of $180 to use toward a future trip!! How fabulous is that??!!

I've got to get ready to go to weigh in at WW. Yes, I was just there but that's because I wasn't able to go last Tuesday and it got pushed to Friday so hopefully this will put me back on track. So, I'll catch up with my reading when I get back!! :wave2:

THANK YOU 2x2s :woohoo: can't wait to try the goodies!! Sorry you're not having the best week... having appts. AND having to go back to work uhhh I hate that. Next time I make a $ error... you'll be on top of the list;)

Donna... I'm sitting here at work w/tears in my eyes after your sharing the mommy moment w/Nathan...they make our hearts melt don't they :cloud9: I'm so glad Kenny is so lovey and sensitive!!! Thanks for sharing... you'll have to write that one down! I like to write the little things like that down so when I feel down...that makes you forget the silly things that get to us in a split second;)!!

lyzziesmom... you're bringing tears to my eyes today too!!! UHHH...I know how it is to be a single mom and it isn't easy...to say the least!! I only have one child. I can only imagine w/2. You guys will be so close though... My mom was a single mom w/me and my sister. I know it is hard now but I respect my mom so much for all she did for us!! I don't have anything to do w/my dad since he left when I was 3...and never paid a penny in child support :sad2: he calls but I blow him off for the most part. I have no respect for the man. He donated DNA for my sister and I and that is about it! My xh use to work here at the same co. I work at for the past 7 years until he quit about 2 months ago :sad2: and the guys here know us both well of coarse...and they say I cloned him since Kenny looks so much like his dad...but thankfully we're SOOO close I never looked at him any differently even w/the abuse and a LOT of crap I won't get into that happened w/his dad. Kenny is so sweet and sensitive and we're just so close. This morning he was telling me he wished I would wake him up before I leave for work b/c he just misses me SOOO much!!! that stuff just tears at your heart!!! Oh I hope I get to work from home a lot!!! :grouphug: Good luck and glad you'll get to change Emmas last name!

Ashley...now I'm hungry for wings  !!! YUMMM

April...that is awesome flight prices!!! I'll have to check into that! Mike wants to fly down w/me if I get to go for work!! I'm so happy for you. I'm glad you guys decided to go down for a relaxing trip. You deserve it! :grouphug: Good luck at your WW meetings!!!

OH...I've got to take pix of my scrapbooks...I'm all finished!!!! :woohoo:  :cheer2: I've now completed Kennys baby book ...well to current..., Yellowstone trip, wedding/partly honeymoon, and honeymoon wdw trip only...I had to put some pages of our wdw trip in the wedding book b/c there were way too many pages to fit in one book :rolleyes1

Have a great day everyone!! Hi pozey, Amber, Michele, Nicole..and everyone I'm forgettin' :grouphug:

Morning!
Wow, April, that rate is fantastic!! I wish we could get flights like that to Orlando from here, but even with Ding, the lowest is around $89 - $94-ish one way. We can still fly cheaper to Orlando than most anywhere else, though (except for Dallas, San Antonio, Kansas City). It was going to cost me almost twice as much to go to Atlanta to go to my nephew's basic training graduation as it costs to go to Orlando. And what I didn't understand was, even Delta, who stops in Atlanta for the layover on the way to Orlando, was almost double. :confused3

Donna, how I wish I were having breakfast at the Pop this morning! (even though I never have...) it would just mean I'm in FL!

Funny story: I was going to tell my daughter something last night, and started my sentence with "There's a great big...." ...and she finished with "beautiful tomorrow?"
Well, no, I was going to say there was a [great big] bowl of chicken salad I'd just made... but I gotta love my Disney family!

Mornin' all.

I'm here at work and I REALLY don't want to be here.

That's funny. :rotfl: My whole family is a Disney family as well. DD(3) is constantly either talking about Disney, asking when we are going back, or talking about Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse (her favorites).

Wow! That's a FANTASTIC rate. I could only dream of getting fares that low. Good for you!

Wow April, that's a great price on the flight! Ours started out at $99, then got a Ding for $79 and changed it, then got a Ding for $54 and changed it again. I'm still waiting for that $39 Ding, but I don't think it's going to happen. My dad freaked out when I told him, "well we have to cancel one reservation and then quick make the new one" and he said no matter how low it goes, DON'T CHANGE IT! Little secret: when you pull up the window with the rates and then click on the purchase button, it holds your tickets for 30 minutes so you can then open a new window to cancel your old reservation and use the funds towards the new one!

Donna, you're killing me! Again!! We'll be staying at Pop next month and I just adore Everything Pop! Since we are a family of picky eaters, the place is perfect for us. Lyzzie is big enough to go get her own food while I get mine & Emma's and then we all meet at the registers. And yes, I have been known to eat the kids' leftover Mickey waffles.

Linda, ouch on having to work with the ex! I know what you mean about the clone, Lyzzie looks so much like her dad that it's scary. It sounds like you have the kind of relationship with Kenny that I have with my girls. It's great, isn't it?

DznyFan, that's too funny about your DD! Lyzzie loves the Carousel of Progress and is very much looking forward to going on it again. I hope it'll be open! I can't believe it's always empty... it's a classic, people! So what if it's a little dated, that's all part of the kitchy fun. I think I have created a Disney freak in Emma, the girl can find hidden Mickeys anywhere, including in her spilled milk droplets. Don't you just love being able to pass on the magic?

Michele, you must be so excited about your trip, it's really getting close!

Hi to 2x2s, YM, Nicole, Amber, pozey.... who else?

Oh my, my--

My (a bit possesive, aren't I??) little chicas (where's our man?) are a-gabbin' away already this morning. I almost posted about 5am but I'd figure you all would think this little hooty-hoot never sleeps--except for her 3 hr. naps during the week when she's not supposed to. HOOT

Anyhoot--I'm off to Neverland--the neverending dr. again. So, everyone have a good and safe day and I'll catch up on all of your chat tonight.

yum-yum eat 'um up--thanks donna (even though I didn't see any FOOD)

(did anyone catch my Little Rascals homage?? anyone?? there I go again, showing my age)

GET SOME WORK DONE TODAY!!!!!

bye-bye pirate: --see you tonight--and out the door he goes.

Donna...Don't you love moments like that with your kids? Makes up for so much of the crap that they pull other times ;) Can you tell I have teenagers? :confused3

Yep!!! 8 days :cool1: I can't wait. We are staying at Coronado Springs for 6 days. Just a quick trip but I need it :thumbsup2 We have never stayed there before so I am really looking forward to it.

Lyzziesmom...WOW! you have really been thru a rough patch. Glad it seems to be over. Here is some Pixie Dust for you pixiedust: to help with the name change.. No one here is judging you. You seem like a great mom and that is all that counts.

April...Great fare!! When do you go and where are you staying.

I didn't have any problems at the car dealer yesterday. It seems to be covered under a recall so I don't have to pay :thumbsup2 It is ready for me to pick it up but I have to wait for Briana to wake up to drive me over there and since she is 18 that could be hours from now :rolleyes1

Yes, Blake is out of town again :sad2: this is just a quick one, he is in PA yesterday and today. He has to present his 5 year plan before the board of directors. He'll be home late tonight and then he doesn't leave again until we go to Disney

I have to go clean my house, I read that thread about what if something happened to you and people came into your house, what would they find? It would not be good so I have to get busy before we leave ;)
