Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 4

Gooood morning everyone! I thought I'd share an assortment of Pooh waffles from the Crystal Palace. Maddie was so excited to see they had one for each character, but she was disappointed that they left Eeyore out.

There is so much I want to say, but this dial-up is driving me crazy. It just took me over and hour and a half to read two days worth of posts.
This is FOR THE BIRDS!!!
Michele----I read your DeVine post and literally said----out loud-----"NO WAY!!!" :lmao: :lmao: I'm not sure who I thought was listening, but, oh well. That is soooo cool!!!! I would have squealed too. She is beautiful. I would love to do the make-up for DeVine!!!!
I wonder how many DeVines they have. The one we saw in Feb. was of African-American decent (??sp), wasn't she?? She was so graceful, too!!! I wonder what kind of background/training they have.

Lesa----I know there was something I was going to ask you, but my memory is failing me. I'll think about it and get back to you.:lmao:
It doesn't surprise me one bit that you started painting as soon as you returned. Did you even have a chance to unpack??

Well, I caved and changed our dates to Oct. 31 thru Nov. 5. I'm a bit concerned about the crowds on Halloween. Anyone been on the actual day?? We will fly in that day, so no parks, most likely DTD or resort hopping. I'm afraid DTD will be packed.
Thank goodness I was able to get our ADR's switched around and the Keys tour. For some reason, I feel like we will have a bit more time since we will arrive earlier in the day instead of later that evening. We reserved MK view at Poly.:cool1: I keep bugging my mom to tell my dad, but she's afraid he will want to go along, then we would have to get two rooms instead of just one------which then, will NOT be MK view at Poly :lmao: since we would definitely have to break the bank. I feel bad that she hasn't even told him yet, though.

Hi 2x...Sorry about the Internet speed! I know it can be a pain in the rear!!! Even with DSL it can be slow at times. If you remember what you wanted to ask, I'll be here!;) I bet you remembered as soon as you shut down you computer, didn't you! I don't remember what Divine looked like back in feb. other than she was a little, well.....Green!:lmao: I bet she has a huge background in ballet. I can't even imagine walking on stilts, in a crowd, and up into the trees all without falling flat on my face. Also, did you notice how she really never looks down? I would definitely be on my butt, I think I might do better as a bush! :rotfl2: MK VIEW AT THE POLY!!!!:yay: Sorry, I know I'm shouting, but how awesome is that!!!!!:yay: I don't remember there being a problem with crowds there during Halloween. I always loved going when we worked there to see the parks and parade, it was always a lot of fun, and it only happens 1 day a year.;) I don't know that you want to be in the MK during Trick or Treat time, that may be a little hectic, but on the other hand, the rides may be less crowded at that time.;)

Oh and by unpacking before I started painting, do you mean emptying the suitcases or emptying them and putting the stuff away?:confused3 And by putting stuff away, do you mean away away, or just in laundry baskets in my room?:confused3 :rolleyes1

We were there on Halloween a few years ago and I don't recall the crowds being bad at all. We took the kids to the MNSSHP that night and had a great time. You will have a great time, it's a lovely time of year to go!

The funniest part of the night was the irony. The theater is owned by DTE Energy...the local power company!! And they had NO Power and no generator on site!!

:lmao: :rotfl2: Sorry, this made me laugh. Of course it is owned by a power company!:rotfl2: I bet they were the only ones in the area without power.:lmao: I'm glad you had a good time and eventually got to see the concert, I think I would have given up and gone home by 9. You know I don't have patients for that kind of thing.:rolleyes1

Yesterday I had to take Maddie back to the dr for her asthma. She was wheezing so loud that it hurt my ear to listen. Poor thing!!!

Well I'd better get going, my extra child should be arriving any time now. I so hope there isn't any fighting today.:sad2:

Good morning and Happy Friday everyone.

Good Morning!

Thanks for the waffles Lesa!

In fact, Nicole, come to Dallas! You and Steven can go to Lion King with Chris and I! Your dress is very pretty! Remind me again, what is your dads party for?

Sure, I'll send you a pm. I'm sure you did well on your test! :yay:

Nicole---cute dress!! What's the occassion??

It's my dad's 50th birthday party! :cool1:

Good morning!

Lesa, thanks for the waffles.

2X - good to see you - exciting news - Poly w/ MK view!! I bet you have fun over those dates!

Michele - it certainly sounds like you had a good night, despite the power problems. That is rather ironic, isn't it?

I'm so disappointed in my DH. He suggested last night that we NOT go to WDW over our fall break - our friends with the 2 y.o. have changed their mind about going, and he subsequently has changed his. So.... now we're scrambling to find something else - he suggested NYC, which I would love to do again, but I'm having trouble finding any hotels in the area in which we need to be under $300/night - more like $350 - $400. Top that off with another $1,000 in air fares, then show tix - we'd probably spend about $400 there....
I'm trying to push for a short RC Bahamas cruise, or even a DCL 3-nighter. I suggested Vero Beach, but DD doesn't want to go there. She's just not very happy with her dad AT ALL right now.

I'm not sure where else to go - we all have different ideas.

Happy Friday, everybody!! :wave2:

Good He suggested last night that we NOT go to WDW

 :faint: I'm so sorry Dznyfan:hug: hey wait...can you tell him you're not done w/her SR. pix yet:scratchin Good luck:grouphug: hmmm a cruise always sounds good to me...:cloud9: He can go to NY... and we'll meet you and Erin for a cruise ;) yeah..that sounds good :)

wow Michele...that sounds like a blast!!!:yay:

2x..thankfully it was his little buddy that went in the bathroom w/all the hot chicks, not Kenny..thank goodness! I've been told not to take him to the movie Transformers too b/c of some of the content..not nudity but them talking about "self pleasuring" or something....oh, I'm not ready for those talks:rolleyes1

I know...I'm crazy:rolleyes1 I've been printing all the restaurant menus for our trip:rotfl: a girl has got to be prepared ;) they bosses are gone, can you tell:rotfl2: well, for another hour or so:rolleyes1

Nicole... Happy 50th to your dad. Very pretty dress...

any plans for the weekend? I think we're taking Kenny to the Columbus Zoo.. to Red Robin and TDS:cheer2: that should be fun.

Dznyfan-I'm sorry that your DH wants to cancel the trip. :(Going to NYC or the cruise would be fun though.

Michele- I forgot to mention this earlier, that's funny about the power problems! Toby Keith does put on a good show! I saw him a few years ago at the rodeo and he was great.

/
Lin...LOTS of prayers and pixy dust for your test results today:cheer2:  :grouphug:

2x... MK view at Poly:cloud9:  :cheer2: that is awesome. I can't wait to see pix. I think it will be a great time to go:woohoo: glad you got the dates figured out... hope your dad isn't too disappointed he's being left at home ;)

Donna... Sorry you've been in a grumpy mood. I do feel your pain!! 3 weeks til your trip:cheer2: that is awesome!!! I'd already be so excited and ready to start buying all the little things you just have to have ;)Heck, I'd be counting down til I can pack:rotfl: can you tell I just love to GO!!! I love to travel! You'll be relaxing at the WL in no time!!

You are not crazy Linda, I print all the menus too! :rotfl: The zoo sounds like fun Linda! Thanks for the complements on the dress. Plans for the weekend- Nothing really. Just some running around getting more stuff for my dad's party.

 :faint: I'm so sorry Dznyfan:hug: hey wait...can you tell him you're not done w/her SR. pix yet:scratchin
and actually - that's a legitimate problem, I'm NOT done with them. I was counting on going back in the fall and re-shooting the MK stuff - I'm not happy with most of those shots.

Well, I'm hoping I'll sway him to the cruise if he absolutely won't do WDW. What's funny is, he LOVES WDW. I'm pretty sure he's getting some peer pressure from his buddies - you know - the "you always go to WDW - go somewhere else!"
I think that is what it is - he's a "follow the herd" type, big time - (even though he says his personal mantra is "don't keep up with the Joneses, be the Joneses.") - he's the worst about keeping up w/ them!! He's always trying to keep up with his well off friends, and do what everybody else is doing - sorry this is turning into a vent.... He's all about doing what his friends want and think he should do, and family's desires are way down there.

OK I need to just chill -

if I had my way we'd meet you on the boat, honey! but I don't get to go on vacations for me.

shew thank goodness! I am so glad I'm not alone ;) I just remember going last time and getting to a cs and thinking...yuck, I know there are other ones that are better:rolleyes1 so, this time...I'm going to be prepared! It seems the more prepared you are, the more relaxed you can be b/c you've already got everything figured out...just enjoy:cloud9:
Have fun preparing for the party:cool1:

I'm so sorry Dznyfan:hug: :grouphug: I wish I could give you a real hug right now. I know how dh's can be! ;) I am so thankful Mike is so understanding b/c my ex and I got to where we went on separate vacations...I was not about to go to Canada fishing in the middle of nowhere for a week where a plane drops you off and just leaves...and he didn't want to go to Disney...so he didn't..and I wasn't going to wait for him either:rolleyes1 I hope you can come to a compromise that makes all of you happy:grouphug:  :flower3: Mikes nephews were teasing him b/c he had a Disney hat on.... and Mikes reply was "it makes her happy and guess what I get in return":lmao: they shut up:rotfl:

Someone mentioned changes to the Dining Plan. I think it was Lyzziesmom. What are they? I haven't heard anything about them.

I read that they are considering taking the tip off of the DDP so you would have to pay your own tip, plus raising the price of the DDP. I certainly hope they don't do both, a lot of people would no longer buy it. I only buy DDP if we're going in a larger group and plan to do a lot of eating. Normally when it's just me and the kids, we are perfectly happy with CS and can easily all three share one meal so the DDP is too expensive already for us. I do love free dining though!!

I wonder how many DeVines they have. The one we saw in Feb. was of African-American decent (??sp), wasn't she?? She was so graceful, too!!! I wonder what kind of background/training they have.

Lyzziesmom----cute pics of the girls at the parade. I love the one with Emma's sort-of profile holding the flag. They both look cute with their Americana barrettes and WDW sunglasses.

Somewhere on here, somebody posted a link to the entertainment company that WDW hires DeVine from. You can actually hire her for parties and whatnot, how cool would that be? It said on there that you can hire up to six at a time for each event, so I would imagine there are at least six women who portray her. I'm not sure if they all actually work at WDW or not. I know I've seen photos of at least two - you can tell the different ethnicities and facial structures even under all the makeup. I really hope we get to see her next time - I missed her on the Cliqueless meet. I was actually in AK with Emma that morning waiting for all you guys, and it turned out you guys were already there too and that's when you saw her! Oopsie. :confused3

Oh how fun to go during Halloween. And Poly MK view - babe, you're spoiling yourself! Good for you. I know you'll have a fantastic time.

Michele: What a story about the concert! I've been to a few of those outdoor pouring-rain concerts - sometimes it kind of adds to the fun. I can't believe it started THAT late... and at a power company sponsored stadium, how funny! Glad you had a good time regardless. What a great deal, $100 for all that!

Donna: 3 weeks to go, it's getting SO close!! Are you packed yet? :rotfl: My trip is just shy of 2 months away and even though we leave the evening of the last day of August, I've already been saying it's "next month." I hate how the time drags before the trip, but it flies by way too fast while you're there. Last night I was showing Emma some pictures of the SSR rooms and pool, and she said, "I want to go there! I want to stay there now! Can I swim in that pool, can I can I can I?" It was so cute.

Oh and by unpacking before I started painting, do you mean emptying the suitcases or emptying them and putting the stuff away?:confused3 And by putting stuff away, do you mean away away, or just in laundry baskets in my room?:confused3 :rolleyes1

Hey that sounds like me! I've still got stuff in my suitcases from our trip in May. I figured, it's all my travel stuff that I only use on vacation, and we're going back next month anyway, so it IS away. It belongs IN the suitcases! Yeah, that's the ticket. :thumbsup2 (thumb)

Those waffles are so cute! I have only done CP for dinner - gotta have that key lime pie! - so I didn't know they did Pooh etc. waffles. Poor Eeyore, left out again huh? I wanted to try CP for breakfast next month (!) but my parents think breakfast is a poor use of the free DDP. Gotta squeeze every penny out of it, y'know! We are doing a late Chef Mickey's breakfast on our last day though... I just couldn't miss it AGAIN.

DznyFan: BAD husband! Cancelling WDW, what is wrong with him? Tell him he can go elsewhere, but you and Erin are going to WDW. Think that'll work? :lmao:

I've been told not to take him to the movie Transformers too b/c of some of the content..not nudity but them talking about "self pleasuring" or something....oh, I'm not ready for those talks:rolleyes1

any plans for the weekend? I think we're taking Kenny to the Columbus Zoo.. to Red Robin and TDS:cheer2: that should be fun.

Yikes, that kind of stuff in the Transformers movie? Didn't Transformers used to be, oh I don't know... for KIDS?? Ugh, it irritates me to no end how they are taking these old kids shows and "growing them up" to appeal to the now-adults who used to watch them. You don't see them making a sexy My Little Pony movie now do ya? (Please no!)

Hmmm this weekend.... my grandparents are coming tomorrow so we will be visiting with them, which means I'll be doing some frantic house-cleaning tonight and tomorrow morning. Mostly consisting of throwing my pre-packed suitcases down the basement stairs. Honestly I don't see the point - my dad keeps bugging me to clean up (BTW he is a much bigger slob than I am when left to his own devices!) but my granparents have seen my house, they know I'm not a neat freak like my mom. In fact, my grandma (my mom's mother) thinks my mom is a bit overboard in her clean-freakiness. I agree. A clean house is nice, but to me a comfortable lived-in house is nicer. I'll stow the clutter but I draw the line at polishing the floors for their visit!

On Sunday my mom is throwing an "impromptu" (planned last week) graduation party for my brother. She invited some neighbors, of course my grandparents, and my cousin & her family who live nearby. Sounds like fun, but she wants me there in the morning to help her get ready all day. I hope to have a mini-WDW-planning session since it's the only time we will all be in the same place since we started planning this trip!

Oh would you look at that, lyzziesmom went and wrote another novel. I guess if I didn't feel compelled to respond to everyone that wouldn't happen so much.... oh who am I kidding, of course it would!

Linda: That's a great reply that Mike had - shut them up pretty quick, huh? Men can be such dopes when they get together. Not like us women, who are ALWAYS rational and mature in groups. ;)

DznyFan: Oh honey that last sentence really sums it up doesn't it? Sometimes I get lonely and feel tied down by the girls, but I really do enjoy being the one in charge of my own life. I think I am too set in my ways to ever be able to let someone else in, I could never deal with someone else making those kinds of decisions for me. I hope you guys can come to a compromise and find a vacation that you will ALL enjoy. A cruise would be fun - and definitely less expensive than NYC. That's one reason why I always end up back at WDW -- every time I try to plan a trip to somewhere else, it seems like I just don't get as much for the money as a WDW trip. Good luck!

Good Morning Everyone!

Dznyfan, I'm sorry about yout DH. I don't understand why some people care what others think. Hopefully, he'll come around.

Linda, I print off menus too. Usually, I have an idea of where I want to eat, but it's nice to have them for Mike. It helps when you are in the mood for something different and don't want to go around to each place to see the menu. We ended up at CHH (my new favorite) because I had the menu handy.

Morning all!

Nicole, I sent you a PM! Happy Birthday to your dad!

Dznyfan, thats stinky. I'm sure he'll come around if its what you and Erin want to do!! But, a cruise would be awesome too!!!!

2x, hey there! I have a friend who spends every halloween at Disney and says the crowds are pleasant and the weather great. You should be fine!

Linda, I print the menus too...and Chris makes a spread sheet to see if it will be cheaper to do dining plan or pay out of pocket. Its pretty funny to look at.

I forgot to tell you guys this yesterday. When we were in Disney we bought an 11x14 Disney Print, the one with Walt walking on dirt and Cinderella's castle is behind him transparent that says Imagine. I wanted it in January and they were sold out. Well, we decided to have them ship it home along with something Chris got for his boss. When we got home it was all damaged. They had put it in an envelope with the action figure and it had gotten all crunched with the shape of the action figure packaging and had a big crease on it. So I called merchandise guest services to get a new one. They told me to keep the originial and they would send me a new one. I specifically asked to have it sent in a box to avoid it getting damaged again and they said they would. But, we got it on Tuesday and once again its in a soft yellow envelope and is damaged! The envelope doesn't say anything on it like fragile, or photos inside. Chris called them and they redirected him to Art of Disney since they shipped it and he left a message. No one is calling back! And now I imagine they will want me to send back both of the damaged ones as proff that I'm not just trying to get more for free, which will cost me money to do. I'm not happy. Do you guys have any ideas?

And lastly, I just got off the phone with the teacher at the high school I want to work at. She called me because the principle called her to tell her that I passed the test. But, my scores haven't posted on the site where I can check them so I'm a little confused. I assume he found out from them directly...I'm supposed to call him to set up paperwork time. Hopefully I really did pass! I would start training on August 13th but have meetings on August 8th and 9th. Dznyfan, Thoroughly Modern Millie is the fall musical this year. I wonder if I can plug in a Disney trip the first week of August.....

good morning peeps!!!!

This week feels wierd with the holiday being right smack dab in the middle. I kept thinking yesterday was Monday. Surprise, surprise. Yay for Fridays!!!! But, as of last night, my books tonight are wiiiiiiide open. Anyone want to come in for a facial tonight????;)

Michele----yep, a little ironic about the concert venue. :lmao: Glad you had a good time afterall.
Thanks for your input on Halloween. The more I think about it, DTD would be fun just to see the costumes of the little ones. I guess since we were there last October, I was hoping to see more "thanksgiving-ish" decor rather than spooky Halloween. I think I was fooling myself thinking a few days would make a difference.:confused3 :rotfl:

Donna----I feel ya on your grumpiness. I am FINALLY pulling out of my mood that I've been sporting for a while now. I think a pending trip to WDW is the cure-all.:thumbsup2 (thumb)
THREE WEEKS BABY!!!!!:cool1:  :cool1:
You need to provide us with your itinerary.

Lesa----I actually did remember as soon as I logged off last night, but with the dreaded dial-up, didn't have the energy to boot everything back up. I was going to give you trouble about stalking Michele when you first joined us. I remember when you posted that I admired your avatar of the girls' shadows and then when you and Michele said you were related wondering if it was a joke.:rotfl2: Skeptic that I am.:lmao:

lesa said:

DeBush

I will search for a pic of our Feb. DeVine so we can compare.

Unpacking can be whatever you wish it to be.

thanks for the pooh waffles. I agree with Maddie----the donkey deserves a waffle, too.

Good morning Pozey and UnderDog------any plans for the weekend??

Nicole---ahh, your dad's 50th----how fun!!!! What are the plans??
The Lion King is in St. Louis right now. I cannot believe I didn't get tickets. I have seen it once when it came into town a few years ago, but didn't plan on seeing it this time. Now I am kicking myself. That would be fun if you and Steven would be able to go to Dallas to see it with Lin and Chris. How far away are you from Dallas??

DznyFan----how DARE he say no to the World!!!!:scared1: When is fall break?? What about somewhere on the East Coast to see the colors?? (or WDW) or cruise sounds nice. (or WDW)
I love Linda's suggestion that you need to finish up Erin's senior pics.;)
I just read more-----I'm sorry he is being a Disney-downer!!!:sad2:  Tell him the Joneses LOVE Disney. If he has fun, what's the difference?? Maybe his friends should go and see how nice it can be. It's not just for kids, I hope they know.

Linda---oh my----topics like that in Transformers??:scared1: They grow up too quickly as it is now---no use pushing those buttons.:sad2:
Have fun at the zoo.
There is something coming here in St. Louis that reminded me of Kenny. I'll have to look into it further, but it is a dinosaur show thingy that the dinos actually are "real" size and walk around. It is being held at one of the big stadiums. I'll look into it and try to get more info. I'm pretty sure it is a travelling show, so I don't know, maybe it will be/ has come to your area??
Oh, and another thing----remind me of the town you live in?? I had a client the other day that is dating someone that lives in your town, I'm almost positive. As soon as she said it, it sounded familiar. You can PM if you don't want to announce it to the world.
Great thinking about printing the menues.

congrats to all of you who got new tags!!!!!

(I guess I'll have to venture out into the big-bad DIS world to be tagged)

gotta run-----have a Fantastic Friday everyone!!!

Linda, I print the menus too...and Chris makes a spread sheet to see if it will be cheaper to do dining plan or pay out of pocket. Its pretty funny to look at.
we got it on Tuesday and once again its in a soft yellow envelope and is damaged!

the principle called her to tell her that I passed the test.

I wonder if I can plug in a Disney trip the first week of August.....
that is another reason...I can see basically what to plan on spending for food...we can't get the ddp w/SOG..but that's ok...
 definitely call again! that is ridiculous!! If they want you to ship back the damaged ones... no biggie, I'd do that no problem, but you paid for a NON damaged piece and that is what you should get:snooty:
YAY... that call sure sounds pretty good:woohoo: and of coarse a Disney trip ALWAYS sounds good ;)

Yikes, that kind of stuff in the Transformers movie? Didn't Transformers used to be, oh I don't know... for KIDS?? Ugh, it irritates me to no end how they are taking these old kids shows and "growing them up" to appeal to the now-adults who used to watch them. On Sunday my mom is throwing an "impromptu" (planned last week) graduation party for my brother.
I know..its sad when my coworker...that's 36 was so excited and couldn't wait for it to come out...
don't give them any ideas on the My Little Pony idea:rotfl2:
sounds like you have a busy weekend planned!!

Linda: That's a great reply that Mike had - shut them up pretty quick, huh? Men can be such dopes when they get together. Not like us women, who are ALWAYS rational and mature in groups. ;)
you know guys...it all comes back to the "lovin":rotfl:

Good Morning Everyone!

I'm so glad I'm not alone:cool1: CHH...I'll have to see what that is...

You don't see them making a sexy My Little Pony movie now do ya? (Please no!)

I found out last night that they are making a Alvin and the Chipmunks movie! :faint: NOOOOO!!!! I used to love that show. I think they're going to be hip-hop chipmunks. I'll probably rent it only because Jason Lee is in it. Have fun at the party and with your grandparents Lyzziesmom!

Congrats on passing your test Lin! :cool1: I'm sorry about the poster mess. Hopefully they will send you one without any dents!

Lin: Congratulations on apparently passing your test!! That is great news. For the print, I would suggest taking photos of the damage and the shipping envelopes and sending or emailing the photos to Disney merchandising? Just an idea, don't know if it would work.

Ugh, I'm so frustrated right now. My dr's office called to confirm my appointment next week, and "oh by the way you owe us almost $200, we will transfer you to billing." That lady was NO help, I kept asking what the heck the bill was for and she couldn't tell me. She said it's my responsibility to know what my costs are and to read my EOBs and bills. I kept telling her I never got any bills, she said it's not her problem, and that I need to check with the post office. Can I get a bill when I come in to the office? "Oh no we don't do it that way. But I can take a credit card over the phone!" Um, no way lady, I'm not going to pay you if you can't even tell me what I owe you for. I swear I was on the phone with her for almost 15 minutes and she could not answer a single question. She tried to tell me the bill was for copays - but the office always tells me I have no copay, as does every other dr's office. Idiots!! I swear they are just out to squeeze every last penny out of you. This is the same office that tried for almost a year to charge me for botox injections, when I actually had injections in the buttocks. I asked the "billing specialist" if that was related to this charge, and she had no idea what I was talking about. She said her records only go back to 2004. Um, ok fine, this happened last year. Ugh... I just had to rant. They make me SO mad! Don't ask me for money and then be unable to tell me what it's for, YOU'RE the one whose billing ME, don't tell me it's MY responsibility!

Well I was waffling on what to do at lunchtime today, but now I'm definitely going to the mall and TDS for some shopping therapy. I decided I want a vintage poster tshirt but the other store (which DOES have a dressing room!) only had S and XS sizes left. Yeah right!!
