Morning, all!

Just checking in this morning - we're supposed to be in for a bout of bad weather today. Since I'm home today I think I'll get my running around (grocery store/walgreens) done early, and then just stay in for the rest.

Donna - thanks for breakfast, I guess we needed a healthy one.

Lyzziesmom - The situation with that doctor is absolutely ridiculous! I'm so sorry to hear you're having to go through that with him - and good luck with finding a new one.

Ashley - You're endodontist appt. is today, right? Best of luck - keep us updated on what they tell you. Mexico to go to the dentist???? No way!!

2X - prayers for your Grandma! I hope she continues to recover and improve.

Pozey - sounds like a great first day at the new job - glad to hear it! And Abuelo's for lunch - nice!
Surgery went exceedingly well - the removed part (VERY minimal) of the meniscis and sent her home around 3:00. She's down for today, too, but no crutches after today!! No internal stitches - everything's great! Oh, the power of prayer - thanks again, guys!

Will check in later - have a great day!

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Dznyfan- That's great that Erin is doing much better! Woohoo, a possible trip! :cool1:

Great to hear that Erin's surgery went well!! :cool1:

Tell her to take it easy for a few days.

Dznyfan!!that is fantastic news!!!:woohoo: :cheer2: First for her successful surgery w/no crutches after today! I'm sure she's excited about Johnny and the Sprites! Kenny would love that too. Congrats for a great rate for another trip! Gotta love the TA discounts:love: I should do that for the benefits too!! Yes, the power of prayer!!:cloud9:

DnzyFan...that is very good news about Erin's surgery! Glad you are getting your running around done...they are really emphasizing the bad weather risk today. I hope it's not as severe as they are thinking.:sad2: Stay safe(you too Pozey).

Donna...thanks for the healthy breakfast. We do have a "hero" on here to keep in shape.;)

Linda...poor Kenny, it's hard to know how to react at that age. How's Mike doing?

Good morning Nicole, Pozey and Underdog.

Hey there YM! Your pedicure sounded so nice, I'm ready to go get one too:rolleyes1 I hope you all have fun at the wedding:cloud9:
Yes, its like Kenny knows whats going on. When I was tucking him in bed last night he was saying...well, now Jim went to heaven to be w/Jesus. Now I'm getting all teary eyed againhe's just such a sweet and smart boy!! He is right, but now to prepare him for the funeral. I'm hoping it will be easier since it will be a closed casket. Mike is doing pretty good. Our phone was ringing non stop last night b/c Mike is the one that took care of him, and knew where everything was at, he's the one that had all his personal doc's, what his wishes were, etc. Kenny has been to a few funerals and viewings but never for anyone he knew so well. I'm sure he'll do fine.

you be careful in that nasty weather too!!!

Good morning everyone! We took Emma's crib apart last night to get it ready for sale, and brought her toddler bed over from my mom's house. She stayed in it all night!! She even tattled on Lyzzie this morning, telling me that Lyzzie got up out of bed and that was naughty. Of course it helps that she was already used to the bed at my mom's house, but I was still expecting to be woken up several times. Yay Emma!

Ashley: I read that Mexico dental thread too. No flippin' way would I go to a dentist in Mexico! I'd be worried about the quality of the work, not to mention wouldn't the travel and lodging expenses be pretty high? That's ridiculous.

2x: Tell your grandma to EAT already!

I called the new dr. yesterday - it's one that my brother goes to and likes very much - but they can't make an appointment until I have my old dr. fax over my records. I don't want to do that yet, because I still need a refill before I leave next week, so I guess I'll wait until after vacation to switch. Part of the problem is they sent my sample to a lab in TX that is not in my insurance network. I don't understand why they would do this, because my dr's office is in a huge network and they have an onsite lab. I really do not feel like this guy has MY best interest in mind, just HIS bottom line. $$$$

DznyFan: Glad to hear Erin's surgery went well. No crutches - yippee!

I didn't realize the Playhouse Disney schedule was released yet! I just checked, and it will be the Doodlebops while we're there. Those guys creep me out! But Emma loves them, so maybe we will check it out if it's not busy. We expected Johnny & the Sprites to be busy last year, but when we ran to LMA to get tickets first thing in the morning, we were the ONLY people there! My parents thought I was crazy, because I kept telling them how it's so popular and we have to get there really early before they sell out. Then at showtime, they had people standing outside trying to fill the theater - it was less than 1/3 full and we were in the 2nd row. I'm hoping it will be like that again this year, since we'll be there the same week. I hate crowds!!

Corporate is coming down tomorrow again, so I need to clean my desk today and make my area look presentable. They're having some big 401k meeting that I'm supposed to go to, but I don't even participate so I know it'll bore the socks off of me. Oh well, I guess it could be worse.

Way to go Emma!!! That is awesome:woohoo:

you and I both HATE crowds!!!

good luck w/the dr. issues!

Boy am I way behind...................................

Linda.....I'm so sorry to hear about Mike's uncle. I remember you mentioning him before and how Mike and Kenny would help take care of him. I hope Mike is doing O.k. He has had a lot on his plate lately. I'm sure Kenny will do fine at the funeral. Maybe he could write a special note or a special picture to be put in the casket, that helped Madison when our elderly neighbor died that she was very close to.

Donna....Thanks for breakfast! I hope all is well in your neck of the IL woods.

2x.....Good to hear from you! I hope your grandma is doing better. I will keep both of you in my thoughts. My jeep doesn't have the GPS, but I bought a portable one so I can take it in no matter what car I drive.;) This girl will never be lost again.:lmao: The one thing with the Jeep that is going to possibly pose a problem is that the lights don't automatically come on and go off. I can't tell you the last time I had to remember to do that.:scared:

YM.....I hope your ds is feeling better. Maddie was coughing and wheezing so much last night she kept throwing up. Poor thing, she still got up and went to school. I wish there was something they could give the kids to help control the allergies and asthma symptoms better. It seems that more and more children are having trouble with asthma as well as the allergies lately. I am in desperate need of a pedi, I still have the nasty looking bruises under my toenails from our trip. :sad2:

Underdog....Glad you have joined our little clique.

DznyFan...I'm glad Erin's surgery went well. It sounds like she will have a speedy recovery.:) Madison love Johnny and the Sprites. I do too, he is just too jolly too early in the morning for me. I think they should have him on more in the afternoon.:rolleyes1 I hope the weather doesn't get too bad in your neck of the woods.

Lizziesmom....Yeah for Emma's big girl bed.:dance3: :yay: Sorry to hear about your dr problems. Good luck with your garage sale! I need to do one, but they are such a pain in the rear. :headache: I have about 15 bags of stuff out on the porch waiting to be picked up by salvation army. The poodle was an applique.

Ashley...Sorry to hear your still having problems with your tooth.

Amber....I hope your enjoying your time at Disney. I hope no one is ruining it for you.

Pozey...Sounds like your settling into your job quite nicely.

A big hello to anyone I may have missed.:yay:

My tests went o.k. yesterday. I don't know when I will get the results, but boy did she take a ton of pictures of my thyroid gland.

Good morning Nicole, Pozey and Underdog.
Hi YM!! How's baseball going?

Our team has played 2 games so far. We lost our first game 15 - 14, but we won last night. Now, we have games coming up Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday.

Boy am I way behind...................................

Linda.....I'm so sorry to hear about Mike's uncle. I remember you mentioning him before and how Mike and Kenny would help take care of him. I hope Mike is doing O.k. Lesa...thank you. A note or a picture is a GREAT idea!

I feel your pain...I have a cyst on my thyroid and it can really give me problems some times. When they check it... oh man... it bothers me for hours later!! Good luck, I hope your results come back ok. I'll be praying for you. Everyone in my family has thyroid issues. not fun!

happy Tuesday kiddies!!!!

YM--aka demanding Queenie:lmao: ----the bright toes will look lovely, I'm sure-----just think, no one will be able to lose you in the dim light, especially dancin' the Elelctric slide under the disco ball. :goodvibes
And, you didn't even need to mention the Plum reference---I already knew what you were talking about.:rotfl:
Any other special plans for the week for the wedding?? Rehearsal dinner, etc??

Betts :hippie: ----thanks for the healthy breakfast!!! Sounds similar to what I really had this morning---grape nuts with a sprinkling of walnuts and blueberries.
Are you having a Tinkerbell Tuesday??:rotfl2:

Underdog-----save some granola for us!!!!;) :dance3:
your edit facts are very interesting.

Dnzyfan-----that is wonderful that Erin is doing so well!!!! Wow, no crutches!!!!!:cool1: :cool1:
And yay for October!!! Will you go during Food and Wine festival???? My sister and I have talked about going sometime in October, but nothing has come of it yet. Hopefully we can get something going soon, but she is a last minute girl.
Have fun running your errands.

Good morning (almost afternoon) Nicole, Pozey!!!!

Linda---ahh, Kenny is so sweet. Yes, they do oddly enough know what's going on.
I think a picture or something is a wonderful idea. When my grandma passed away last year, I had gotten a little angel medallion somewhere (Catholic supply, maybe??---don't remember), and the little kids (the great-grandkids) all gave it a kiss and they put it in the casket. They were all so close to her. I think putting something in the casket would mean alot to Kenny since he seems so sensitive and caring. (but, if it is a closed casket--how would they work that??)

Lyzziesmom----yay for Emma going into a big girl bed!!!:yay: or shall we say for Emma Rose's bed!!! (because she is NOT a big girl, just Emma Rose, right??);)
The timing on all of these doctors is a pain in the booty, isn't it?? I am going through something similar-----can't get into another new dr. until July, but I need meds refilled that my other new dr. (the one that I already saw) cannot refill.:sad2: Insurance is really sad, but I'm thankful that I have it.
I'm embarrassed to say that I do not know who Johhny and the Sprites are.

Lesa-----I'm cracking up because my new car does not have automatic lights either. I know I'll be driving down the road one night and someone will be honking away at me to turn the lights on and I will be freaked out because I'll think someone is stalking me.:lmao:
I wonder if I should put a sticky note on my light signal to remind me.
Poor Maddie---sounds miserable.
When are you expected to get results back??

ALL OF OUR OKIE CLIQUERS-----STAY SAFE IN THE WEATHER THEY ARE PREDICTING!!!!!!

I must start getting ready for work---fun, fun!!!!

have a good day all!!!!

p.s. APRIL----if you are reading----I saw your twin at the market last night!!! I took a second look and almost went up to her and said hi.:lmao: Miss ya girlie!!!! Hope all is well.:grouphug:

Hi everyone, I'm back from the endodontist.

It isn't good news. He didn't see anything wrong with the tooth the dentist said already had a root canal. The problems are with the tooth behind it and it front of it...He said they both need root canals. I'm thinking I could just get the last one pulled, but the one in front of the original one is right in front so I have to get a root canal for that one. They charge $800 for one root canal, I'm not sure how much a crown would cost...Then to get the other tooth pulled would be about $500. My dentist doesn't pull teeth and neither does the endondistist, so I have to back to the oral surgeon. He isn't 100% sure there is nothing wrong with the tooth that already has the root canal, but he doesn't see anything. So I guess its good I don't need that surgery. He wants to have a re-evaluation in 2 weeks, because he doesn't see anything major wrong with the teeth, besides me having pain and my nerves are alittle inflamed. I was hoping this would be over before my vacation, but I guess that isn't happening.

:sad2: I guess I'm just in a very bad mood and now I can't stop crying, this is just a huge headache, and I'm in pain still...with no end in sight. I'm really sick of being in pain from this crap, and plus he did some tests which made the pain worse....Plus I don't know how I can afford this, and go to Disney...I hope I can work something out, because If I have to cancel my trip I'll be even more depressed. Atleast he was a nice guy, and he was voted the #1 Endodontist in Northern Virginia. I have another appointment May 9, the day after I get home from vacation.

Anyway, vent over.

Maybe he can give it to his daughter to give to him later ;) yes, he's such a sweetheart.

Hope you have a great day at work...:flower3:

I've been thinking about April and Sherri too!

Ashley!!! I'm so sorry:hug: I know that was the last thing you wanted to hear:guilty:

well, Mike called and said they replaced a seal on the tranny but they think it could have possibly been anti freeze leaking:confused3 :sad2: I am THIS close to saying the heck w/it and going out and just buying a new one:mad:

Hey there Nicole, pozey and underdog...and anyone else I'm missing!

Ashley: I'm so sorry about your tooth troubles. I know exactly how you feel, it's so frustrating to be in pain and not be able to do anything about it. Sometimes with my back pain, especially late at night, I will just break down crying not so much because of the pain itself, but just because I'm so tired of it hurting ALL the time. I don't care what it takes, I just want it to go AWAY. I hope you get everything straightened out. I guess in a way it's good news that they don't see anything wrong, but then again nerve pain can be very tricky and difficult to alleviate. DON'T cancel your Disney trip! You will find a way to swing it, and after all that, you need to go. Maybe the endodontist will take payments? I feel for you, girl.

Hi 2x! That's right, my baby is Just Emma Rose. I think I will have to get used to calling her that, because I didn't realize when I named her that Emma was the #1 most popular girls' name. I imagine it will be like when I was in the 3rd grade with 7 Jennifers in my class. Even now, we go to the store and I call Emma and at least three little girls will turn around!

I went to WalMart in search of Garage Sale signs and price stickers -- SOLD OUT of both! I'll have to try the WallyWorld near Mom's house after I pick up the kids this evening.

Tomorrow is Administrative Professional's Day (aka Secretaries Day). I wonder if my employers even do anything? Last year at my last job we had a catered brunch and I got a potted plant which I promptly killed and a silver engraved letter opener from Pottery Barn which now sits in its nice little velvet-lined box in my desk drawer at home. Oh well, it was nice. I'd much rather get an extra $50 in my paycheck though! Heck since I'm daydreaming, let's make it $500 shall we?

Back to work -- busy busy busy!

Oh, Ashley, I am so sorry to hear that you didn't get good news. I know you're at wits' end with this.

Linda, it really sounds like Kenny is handling this whole thing with maturity and logic. He is such a little angel!

Pozey - busy with baseball, it sounds like! Congrats on last night's win! :cheer2:

2X - yes, if we do this trip it will be during the Food & Wine Festival. This would be our 3rd F&WF, and we've really enjoyed ourselves every time. You don't know who Johnny & The Sprites are?????:scared1: (Kiddin' - I wouldn't expect you to!) It sure is nice seeing you around here again!

Lyzziesmom- the Doodlebops! Oh, fun! Yay to Miss Emma Rose!

YM and Pozey - stay safe today!!!

Hi, Lesa and Michele!! :wave2: How's that baby girl?

Linda---ahh, Kenny is so sweet. Yes, they do oddly enough know what's going on.
I think a picture or something is a wonderful idea. When my grandma passed away last year, I had gotten a little angel medallion somewhere (Catholic supply, maybe??---don't remember), and the little kids (the great-grandkids) all gave it a kiss and they put it in the casket. Poor Maddie---sounds miserable.
When are you expected to get results back??

The family can request something to be put in the casket, the funeral home director would make sure that it got in. That is so sweet having the kids all kiss a medallion before putting it in the casket. When my aunt died the kids got a floral arrangement put on a ring pillow to put on the casket. We kept it and had the flowers put in the casket before they closed it. We used it also for my grandmother and I think my grandfather when they died. Then when I got married I used it for our wedding rings. If my brother or sister were ever to get married I would let them use it also. But it will continue to be passed through Brittany and Madison for their weddings.:)
{I detect a bit of smilie switcharoo:headache: } I may have to steal your sticky idea.:lmao: I don't know when the dr would get around to calling me. If I don't hear anything back tomorrow I will give her a little ringading! How is your grandma today?

The salvation army came to pick up my bags of junk a little while ago, they tried to take my fake spiral Christmas tree that is still on my porch. I had to go out and tell them to put it back because it is my porch deco.:rolleyes1 :lmao: I guess it is time to put it away.:confused3 :rotfl2:

My mom called today and wanted to talk about our "relationship". She was not happy when I told her I didn't want to talk and she didn't want to hear what I had to say anyway. She called and talked to the girls on Saturday while David and I were gone.:furious: I guess either her or my sister asked them about coming to stay with them for a week in the summer. Brittany didn't talk much, but I guess they talked to Madison for a long time and who knows what they said to her (Pretty bad when you don't trust your mom and sister to talk to your kids:sad2: ). I called her back and told her that before they ever invite the girls to stay there or for them to come here to visit they needed to go through me not the girls.:sad2: I guess that is what prompted her calling today to "work" things out.

Well I'd better go finish :laundy: All you guys with big storms heading your way, stay safe!:grouphug:
