I'm baaaaack! Dr. thinks it's just a wart - yucky but nothing too bad. Whew! However I did freak out when he attacked my pinky toe with the scalpel... it was all I could do not to pass out! I still feel a little woozy and it's almost an hour later. But he said he'll have me all fixed up in time for vacation, so that's good.

Yesterday we watched a show I had recorded a while back, "Undiscovered Walt Disney World." We had not seen that one before and it had a lot of neat stuff. Now Lyzzie wants to go parasailing!! She's also decided that she definitely wants to try Space Mountain. 2 years ago, we were on the People Mover (I can never call it by its new name!) and it got stuck inside SM right at the very darkest part, and Lyzzie decided no way, no how would she ever step foot in that ride. Well yesterday, she kept asking me, "Are you sure it's not as dark as Everest? Are you sure it doesn't go upside down?" and then decided she was just silly to be afraid and is all excited to try.

I'm starting to get really excited about our trip - it's getting close enough now that it finally feels "real." I can't believe I'll be there in 9 days!!

Well, not much going on in my world. I volunteered to help chaperone Nathan's second grade class on their field trip to the St. louis zoo on Friday. It is supposed to cool off and be in the low 60's by then. Oh, well, as long as it doesn't rain, I won't complain.

We have had some rain. It really poured yesterday----I joked with a client last night that she had the added ambiance of the thunder for her facial besides just the spa music. I am just praying for no hail------would have to sprawl across the new car if that happened to protect it.
Awww, the zoo on Friday???? Honk and wave as you pass by. What time are you going???? I will be heading to work around 1-1:30-----maybe I'll see you on the road.

Linda - you have thyroid issues, too? Mine started acting up just within the past couple years, believe it to be a side effect of a surgery I had about 3 years ago. My 'girl' doc seems to think that my lack of short term memory (remember the Saturday Night Live skit?), moodiness lack of energy and weight gain seems to all come from that - after the blood tests. I've started taking Synthroid. We'll see. I think I remember my mom having that - she struggled with weight for all my life - my dad is rail thin. I took after my dad for the LONGEST time, but after the surgery I can eat NOTHING and gain weight, it seems.

I think Miss Erin is going back to school tomorrow. She's still sleeping in the living room as her room is upstairs, and she's not supposed to climb stairs yet. But she took off the bandages today and got herself a shower, then she went with me while I picked us up some Chinese food. It was good for her to get out of the house. She didn't feel too good yesterday - after effects of the general anesthesia, I think, but she's back to normal today!

yeah, it seems to run in the family. My mom has graves disease, my sister and all my aunts on moms side all have thyroid issues one way or the other. I was always really thin too until after Kenny was born. It is just really hard to loose!!! it does mess w/your energy levels, moods and all that fun stuff. My new dr. lowered my dosage and that seemed to help at first but now I think its off again. I take Synthroid too. Plus I have a cyst on the thyroid, so they monitor that and we've talked about either having it removed, or having my thyroid and all removed. I'm trying to avoid surgery for now though. Yes, your thyroid being off can really mess ya up, can't it ! Good luck! I'm sure the Synthroid will really help once they get your levels straight!

Good to hear Erin is getting around better. I'm sure you'll make her be very careful for awhile though !!

Vent ahead- I have been working on my final for the past few days, gathering info, etc. writing, and typing it up. Well, yesterday I emailed a girl in my class about what else to put in it because my teacher didn't give us a outline, she just said we needed to write about the cities, weather, airlines, temp. etc. Everything else was fine, but when it came to the cities, I wrote about things TO DO in the cities. Thank goodness I emailed a girl in my class because she said I had to write about the geography of the country and cities. So now I need to research all that. I suppose it's my fault because this is a geography class, I should have known, and I didn't ask my teacher to elaborate on what exactly she wanted in the paper. I think I'll just keep what I've written and add the geography to it. The paper is supposed to be at least 5 pages and I only have 2 1/2 pages. I'm so happy it's due on Monday. Vent over.
