YM Gatlinburg in the summer!! did I say If we go up that direction we try to stay back roads as much as possible because the traffic really is unbearable.

Michele I agree with the others. It will be interesting to see what your judge friend suggests.

Hey Linda...does Mike follow Ohio State? I recall talking a few minutes about basketball with him. I know he is a Kentucky fan. We talked a little about Tubby Smith because he coached at Tulsa before going to Kentucky. My DH had texted me a message when we were waiting for our 'Ohana ADR...it was the Okla St score...not good. It was the begining of the end for them...lost 7 of eight games after that. Well I'm sure you are sitting here thinking Tell Mike I said hi and good luck to Kentucky and OSU (he he follows them).

I left early, did some shopping, and just enjoyed myself. I needed that. We went to Cheddars for some dinner, came back, got in the hot tub...and now it's AI. I've been checking out some Hawaii forums trying to find some info. I've never been there and you know us overplanners I want to know what I'm doing first. I really want to see whales...so that leaves it to a Nov-Mar trip... I think that would be so awesome!

omg.... that is too funny...but you never know where you'll meet the one for you. Mike and I met at a garage sale my sister borrowed my garages for a sale...and Mikes buddy wanted to look at a lawn mower one of her friends was selling and ta-dah....I'm so glad it worked out that way!

Many thanks for the pixie dust! They had their final dress last night, she didn't get home until midnight. I figured she wouldn't sleep good last night, so we made an executive decision for her to sleep in this morning and not go in to school until she woke up on her own. She made it in to school around 11:00. She's in good spirits, not cranky or snippy - ready to go! I was working backstage yesterday evening and got a sneak peek at a couple scenes - awesome!

Yes I absolutely agree, Lilly is far too young to be bouncing back and forth like that already she needs her mommy! Definitely call the judge and see what he says. I'm sure they have rights too...but that is way too much!

I know I probably should call the manager about that guy. At first he was pretty friendly but then it just went downhill. He actually said something to the affect of, (after asking why we dont have kids and why arent we trying) "Well, after you slip one past the goal post you can use the nursery here" Can you imagine if someone was having fertilily issues and he was interoggating them about it, how it would make them feel? I didn't know gym employees were normally like that; I've never been in one you had to pay to be a member of. I actually felt bad when he kept going on and on about how I'm not serious about my goals! (to lose weight) I put a 5 on a 1-10 scale because I'm not one of those crazy people who go to the gym for 4 hours a day and count every single calorie What a loser

I am still floored by this guy...I think with most gyms they have sales people who often work on commision as part of their check, hence the pushy attitude. I would really call about him, or actually, send a letter to their corporate office a la Cheesecake factory!

Morning everyone.

I'm behind again, so I will try to go catch up in a few.

I stayed home sick today. I'm still feeling under the weather. I actually feel better than I did Saturday and Sunday, but that's not saying a whole lot.

I did take Chase to the eye doctor yesterday. He has 20/60 vision. The eye doc asked if Chase was active in sports and I told him yes. So, he said he had no problem with fitting Chase with contact lenses. Chase was actually a little upset - he wanted glasses.

He is actually nearsighted in one eye and has astigmatism in the other eye.

They ordered him some contacts and we have to go back in to see him when they come in. The doctor will teach him how to put them in and care for them.

Feel better, Pozey! Good luck to Chase on the contacts, I couldn't wear them.

Lyzziesmom, I'm not sure what happened with Ruby!! Sometimes she does that because I think shes sick of being alone. She is so spoiled!!!

I was just watching Terri & Bindi Irwin on Larry King Live. It is so sad but that little girl is so adorable & smart!! I think my hormones may be out of whack because this and the ASPCA commericals are making me teary, and for the first time I've added two people on the "ignore" list!

Ashley, the ASPCA and the Purina commercials make me cry! All those doggies want to live with me!

A funny thing happened at WalMart today. I was in the craft aisle - the local store doesn't have a craft department, just the one aisle - and a guy walked up to me and started talking to me. He was attractive and real smooth, I thought he was trying to sell me something. Turns out he was trying to pick me up! In the craft aisle at WalMart!! If it had been somewhere else maybe it wouldn't have been so ridiculous, but all I could think was, "So is this what you do all day? Hang around the WalMart craft department cruisin' for the ladies?" Where's that How YOU Doin? smiley?

Hello all!!

I have to tell you about our shopping trip this weekend.

Briana and I went to Pottery Barn to pick up the bedding she decided on for Lilly's nursery. We went Saturday and got some stuff then had to exchange one thing and pick up more on Sunday. Sunday my mom went with us. Well, we were talking to this one salesgirl when all of a sudden she has this really weird look on her face and is coming toward me around the counter. She reaches for my necklace and asks "where did you get this!?!"

It took me a second to remember what I was wearing...it was a simple chain with a charm. The charm is an old Walt Disney World one. It has the old grid globe with ears. So that got us started talking. She works 4 jobs right now. She manages a CPS's office, works at TDS, Pottery Barn Kids and is temporary casual at the Art of Disney in WDW!! Is that not the coolest!! She flys down about 3-4 times a year and works for a few days and gets all the discounts!!! I need to do that!!

Apparently we were annoying the other customers. I didn't realize it, cause I was talking ( I know, so what else is new?) but my mom said other people would get in line behind me and eventually, and with lots of eye rolling, would get out of line and find another register. We spent about 45 minutes!! Now we were also taking care of the exchange, my purchases and one thing I wanted, they didn't have in stock so she had to order it for me online.

I had such a good time talking to her and as I was leaving I was thinking I have to tell all my cliquers about her....they will understand!!

Zach and his mom are kind of pushing Briana to let them take Lilly for regular visits. Like Bree would have her Sunday, Monday, Tues, Wed and they would have her Thur, Fri, Sat. Bree isn't really ready but she doesn't want to be 'mean' and say no. I told her I think Lilly is WAY too young to start this. Taking her for occasional visits is one thing but I'm not ready for that.

I'm afraid that Lilly is going to get confused about who is her mommy.

First, I would like to have that girls life, well, only the part where she is at WDW. Second, I think Lilly is too young to be seperated from Bree overnight. And I agree with the others, is this something Zach wants or his mom? Is he going to be taking care of her during these visits or is mom? I would consult someone and then have a sit down with all of you.

She then said I wasn't committed to MK, that I didn't have any stock last time I was in it so what was going to change. She talked some more about not being committed, blah, blah, blah, about how her unit was in the top 15% or something and I needed to be a good seller too. I was near tears. I wanted to tell her that I just want to sell to friends and family, but then I'm sure she would have said that I was really not committed. So tomorrow I am going to talk to the girl that signed me up and tell her I'm not having a debut or anything like that, I'm going to do what I planned to do, just sell to friends and family.

Thats nuts. I would also tell her you don't care and perhaps just not sell at all...

So, Minnie is limping really bad tonight. She won't put one of her hind legs down. She doesn't seem to be in pain but I am going to have to take to the vet tomorrow. I hope shes okay!

Best go get stuff ready for my interview tomorrow.

I sure did get rid of it! I think the loaf of bread that it landed on saved the granite from being cracked. Boy does red wine stain!

Actually it was only a $15 bottle of wine. Maybe that's why it tasted so bad. I am glad it fell to the side instead on on Madison, that would have been bad! I'm counting down the days to go home.

Thank goodness, I was worried there for a minute! There are several people that annoy the heck out of me. I tend not to venture out from here that often anymore. It seems to always be the same few people.

It's Wednesday...sometimes the hardest day of the week to get thru. Thank heavens Barb, the lady I work with, will be back today. She took yesterday off which meant I had to do her job and mine! That is crazy, as I was walking out yesterday I realized that I never turned off the tv's in the cafe. Oh well, hopefully the custodians did last night

I have a meeting after school today - yippee Oops. just checked it's not until tomorrow.

I didn't completely catch up but I read yesterday's posts at least. It's been a little crazy here this week with putting the house on the market, turning in my resignation, my husband resigning his job, etc... Our calendar is already filling up with dinner and lunch dates with friends and family who want to spend some time with us before we leave.

Lyzziesmom-- that's too funny about the Walmart guy. A little creepy, but funny.

Michelle-- I think Lyzziesmom's advice is right on the money. It will make it easier for you and Lilly to get all this settled now. It will also take care of any tension that might build up due to this whole thing. I bet Lilly's gorwing like a weed! Oh, the smell and feel of a new baby, nothing else like it!

Linda-- You'll love Hawaii. The whales certainly put on a show! They are really fun to watch. You should try looking at tripadvisor.com under the Hawaii forums-- there's some great info to be found there if you are willing to weed through some of the other stuff.

Anyway, I think I have mentioned that I'm the president of my sons school PTO. They had asked me earlier in the year if I would consider doing it again. Of course last night I had to tell them that I'm moving and will not be able to do it. Also last night our principle announced that he has been promoted and will not be returning next year and our Assistant principle has been hired by another school to be thier principle. I felt so bad for all the parents sitting there last night. I think they were overwhelmed. I know I would have been. I love our principle and asst. principle to death! Anyway, everyone left the meeting last night looking like someone ran over their dog. I felt bad. I'm sure we will all be replaced with amazing people, it's just a lot of change.

Well, Id better get some work done. I'm trying to finish up things so I can turn over everything to my replacement.

It is amazing how many times in your life you come across one of those “it really is a small world” moments……

I went to the doctor yesterday afternoon. My regular doctor was out, so I had to see one of the other doctors in the clinic. So, I go in and am taken back to the exam room. Nurse takes my vitals, and then a “doctor-in-training” comes in. He wasn’t a med student, but he wasn’t a full fledged doctor yet. Anyway……

So, he comes in and looks at me and says “I know you from somewhere.” We throw out a couple of suggestions……no that wasn’t it. Then he says……”Do your kids go to the Boys & Girls Club?” Yes, they do. That’s it. Then we figure out who each other’s kid is. Chase and his son are BEST buddies. Chase and he are always together at school and at the Boys & Girls Club. “Small World”

So, he checks me out (medically speaking), and we continue talking. Well, turns out he was born and raised in Ft. Myers, Florida. Well, I spent a lot of years in Ft. Myers when I was young because that’s where my mom and brother lived. “Small World”

I just reread my post and it didn't have the everything I wrote. He's only 9, so he is very excited. He's hoping they are off for weeks.

Only 5 counties are "striking" (everyone called in "sick"). There's talk they will be going back tomorrow. I'm not sure what will happen.
