Who here is not in the "clique" like me? Part 3

Michele: I used to have a basement room too. I think I have to agree with Briana, carpet is better. It is easy to take care of and tile gets so cold! I just think carpet really makes the room seem warm & comfy. But maybe they can compromise, and find a large rug that she really likes? Good luck!

I just updated my trip report! And put in the pictures!

Michelle, my room used to be in the basement when we lived in Minnesota and it had carpet because it gets SOO cold in the basement!

If we do put down tile I will buy a rug that will pretty much cover the whole floor to keep it warmer. Blake is concerned that should there ever be water in the basement we would have a worse problem with the carpet than with tile. Plus we have boxes of tile sitting in the garage that we got for free (Thanks Lesa:rolleyes1 ) David bought boxes of it for projects in their old house here in MI and when they moved he didn't want to return it and was going to just throw it away. So we took it, now I'm trying to find a way to use it:idea:

Anyway, carpet or tile won't matter after the first few days anyway....the floor will just be covered in clothes and we won't be able to see what is under it anyway:confused3

Good evening!!! Where IS everybody?? I guess you all just got tired of my annoying chatter.
I went to the eye dr. this morning and ended up with ONE contact to use for close-up. I am actually on the computer without my reading glasses on!!:thumbsup2 They will take a little getting used to....it feels like a piece of saran wrap in my eye at times.
Nathan played a good game today, but the other team played a little dirty. The refs don't call many/any fouls since it's an instructional league. It's going to be a shock for some of these kids when they get in a league where you can't slap the other kids in the face or pound on their arms!!! OK, so much for my usual Sat. evening gripe.

I apologize I'm a little behind acknowledging yesterday's posts. The revelation that I have the most post on this thread ASTOUNDED me a bit last night!!! I'm OK now, though.:goodvibes

Amber:: Did your camera lens come yesterday? If it did I hope you're getting to use it!!!

Yolanda:: I'm really needing those escapes to the beach!!! Thanks bunches!!! Your snow pics are awesome!!! Supposed to get some snow here before tomorrow morning. I think 3-6 inches are being predicted!!
Keagan's party invitations are really cool!!:thumbsup2 I'd love to get an invitation like that!!pirate:

pozey:: The pics of Muskogee were very good.....the photography. The damage is so clear, I really feel sorry for the residents!! It has to be so devastating for them. I hope the temps warm up and things can get back to normal for them.

YourMajesty:: I'm glad you appreciated the platter of donuts!!! They were pretty darned good!!:thumbsup2
Just think....in 13 days we'll all be in Epcot together!!! Some of us just earlier than others.:rolleyes1 :hourglass I can't wait, Queenie!!!

Michele:: Sounds like you've been busy working on Briana's room. I agree that the carpet would be warmer in the basement, but water damage is a consideration. We are getting ready to tile our basement; then I plan on buying a large area rug for the family room section.
I'm glad to hear Matt did so well on his Science test!!! Too bad you had to get snarky with the teacher....sometimes it just can't be helped I guess.:confused3

Lesa, Ashley and Angela, how are you all doing?

Well, the pizza in the oven is just about done. Talk with you all later.

Signed,
Mrs. Jabberjaws:hyper2: :hyper2: :hyper2: :chat: :chat: :chat:

I remember those games making me crazy too. How are the kids supposed to learn to play correctly if you don't let them know at the beginning how to play correctly? I have seen kids, and their parents, lose their minds when they get old enough that fouls are being called. They are furious because little Johnny has always played that way and they've never called it before!?!?:sad2:

How is it with only one contact in? That would be hard to get used to.

For a while today I thought I had killed the thread:scared1:

Evening all. I'm back from church and Powerball ticket buying and a little bit of shopping.

The message was a really great message and I'm really glad we went tonight.

Yolanda:: I meant to tell you that your invitations look terrific! Really cute. Thanks for sharing.

Michele:: I'm with you (or what is Blake?). Tile with an area rug on top. You're right, if it flooded it would be a mess w/ tacked down carpet padding and carpet.

Oh Donna. I didn't mean to astound you. And you are definately not a chatty cathy. Sometimes I feel silly that I don't post as much. Did you see me? I'm at like 200 something. Am I even worthy to be in the group? I guess you could look at it like I don't contribute much and you always have well wishes and good thoughts for all of us. You make great contributions. Thank you and keep posting away!!

Hey YM & Lizziesmom and Lin that I see on this page.

Well, I don't think I can find ANY Disney Crocs. I should have followed your leads and bought them weeks ago. Now every place I look is sold out including Crocs.com, Nofeargear.com, Shoebuy.com, Zappos.com. All sold out. And I'm NOT going to pay the ridiculous prices on ebay. It's irritating because our Dillard's and Belk's (department stores in the area here) sell the kid's Disney crocs but I would need a size 6 (youth) and they only go to size 5 youth. But, they don't carry (nor have they from what I understand) the adult Disney Crocs. :sad2: What's a girl to do?

Happy Birthday, Donna's Mom!! :cheer2:

I'm down to 12 days! :woohoo: I'm going to try and call Crystal Palace tomorrow and see if I can get into there while you guys are at O'hana's. I don't think Lyzziesmom ever was able to get in to Chef Mickey's. :guilty: I always did want to eat there. That's a bummer. But, at least this time if I can get into Crystal Palace I WILL take my camera. I'm still a little bummed that I forgot my camera on THE night I was eating with Pooh! He's my favorite ya' know. :teeth:

Hi Michele and April!!!! I think we were all posting about the same time!!!

April:: Can you buy the Disney Crocs at Disney??? Are they more expensive there? I've kind of been eying the Crocs a little lately...the more I see of the the more I like them. My foot is just too big, the Crocs look huge!!!

Michele::Most of the teams we play have a terrific attitude, but there are about two teams that are really rough AND mean!!!
This one contact is pretty weird. I've never had them before...I just wanted to be able to read without reaching for the old specs!!:cool2:

I'm not sure if you can get them there? I've heard reports that they have them there but I don't remember seeing them when I was there in December. Of course, I wasn't looking for them and I'm usually in the stores as we're making our exit from Magic Kingdom so I've just got to steal quick glances cause Steven isn't really a looker/shopper.

I'm not sure if they're more expensive in Disney and at the expense of sounding completely stupid I wouldn't mind paying more for them there. The ebay thing is probably(don't know, can't say for sure) people who bought them up so that I can't get them NOW and are trying to make a profit with them on ebay. And it's just the principle of the thing. If they hadn't bought them all up then they still be available for me to buy.

I saw some person over on the budget board offering them for sale over there. Now, how did they get that many? Are they a store?

OK, I'll get off my soapbox now.

ETA:: I knew this guy who would ask his daughter what "THE" hot toy for Christmas was going to be? What was "THE" toy all her friends wanted. He did this so he could go and buy up a bunch of that toy. Wait until it was in high demand and no where to be found then he'd put it up on ebay for MUCH higher than he had paid for it. I know there's nothing illegal or immoral about that but how about unethical? I guess it's just the American way.

I know exactly what you mean about Ebay!!! I decided I wanted Beauty and the Beast: An Enchanted Christmas on DVD. It's out of print right now (or whatever they call it) so of course it's going for about $30-$35. I wonder if they sell this at WDW? I'll have to check in 13 days!!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Thanks for the birthday wishes for my mom!!! :goodvibes I'm a little sad when I think of her age. I don't intend to sound mean, but when did Mom get so old? It makes me realize she won't be around forever and it just breaks my heart. She's a fisty and active little lady; I only wish I'm doing half as good as her when I'm 78!!!
ETA: I just thought of this yesterday at work and it struck me as hilarious. My mom's name is .........drumroll please.........................

April: if you're going to call CP for Saturday night, see if you can get enough seats for Emma and I to join you (7:15ish, so it's the same time as the rest of the gang is at 'Ohana)! That was on my to-do list for tomorrow anyway, since I never did get into Chef Mickey's. I got my Crocs at shoestation.com, have you tried there yet? They were reasonably priced and they had a lot in stock of adult sizes, and they arrived about 4 days after I ordered them with standard ground shipping. Just an idea.

Hi to everyone else! Emma wore her Princess dress most of the afternoon, and even got all dolled up with her accessories! Except the crown, which promptly broke in 3 places when I took it out of the package. I might put up some pics in a few minutes here.

Here are a few pics of Princess Emma goofing off. She was wearing her dress over her jammies and hadn't brushed her 'nest' so she looks a little silly, but still adorable! I think so anyway.

And one of the snow outside, before it really started coming down. It's really weird because it's still snowing and the sky is white even though it's 9:30 at night, it looks almost like daylight! That amazes me every time I see it.

Hi little ones!!!

Just a quick hello and then I am off to sleep. I've had an icky -feeling day again----really getting tired of these, but at least I didn't have to work today. I logged on earlier today and made it over to our countdown thread and danced a bit then "suddenly" had to go-----I'll spare you the details.:scared:

Anyway----everyone doing okay?? Is anyone snowed in yet??

Oh, and Chatty, I mean Cathy, I mean Donna:lmao: ;) ----don't worry, sweetpea----just think if I would have split my record breaking posts in two------I would have beat ya by a mile.:hyper2: :hyper2: :hyper2:

Maybe.:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

and Happy Birthday to your mommy.

Yolanda----darling invitations!!!! When is Keagan's party??
Those pics of the snow are unreal!! And the beach scenes are just, well, dreamy!! I love the one with the footprints.(feetprints?? footprints??---you know:3dglasses )

Pozey----your pics are amazing too!!! I cannot believe those!! It looks like something out of a horror movie----but pretty in the same manner.

I have to get a bit sentimental now and say that did you ever realize that you were the first one to reply to this post when Fantasia started it?? And you're thanking us for including you?? No, no, no---thank you!! You're our leader, Master P!!!!!

Linda----cute new avatar of Kenny!! Is he practicing his coconut race tactics-----cuz it sounds like YM will give him a run for his money.

April----remember, everything happens for a reason.

YM----hey chickie. That's all.:rolleyes1 :lmao:

DznyFan----thanks for the Lapu Lapu yesterday----I needed that!!!

Michele---wow, Nick is talented!!!! Does he plan to go into a career that will show this talent off??
I agree----tile with carpet---just in case.

Lyzziesmom---glad to hear Emma likes her Pin-cess costume finally. Can't wait to see her in it.

Ash---how did the tooth extraction go??

Nicole----darn that school and work-----we want you to go to!!!! There will be other times, though, I'm sure.

Hi Amber, Angela, Lesa, Lin (I still want to read your trippie), Sewer, and anyone else I have missed.

I'm going to sleep now. Nighty night.

Hi everyone!!

Just wanted to check in. I'm doing ok after my tooth extraction. Sorry I disappeared, I've been out of it since Thursday because of my pain medication! I take it every 4 hours, so by the time I wake up to take it again I'm asleep like an hour later, they just knock me out!!

I feel much, much better but I'm still pretty sore. It's a totally different pain though- kind of like I've been punched in the jaw!! But nothing compared to the pain I was feeling Wednesday and Thursday!!!

Thanks so much for your well wishes.

How do you find out what number you are on the list of most posted? I wonder what number I am? :rolleyes1

I've missed you guys!

Lyzziesmom, Emma Rose looks ADORABLE in her princess outfit!!
