Sorry, my sister just called to discuss our plans for Mom's birthday.

I think I'm gonna call it a night.:cloud9:
Night April, lyzziesom and Linda!!!!

See you at breakfast!!

Have to go too, the buzzer on the dryer is calling me to finish my laundry!:sad2:

Hi again--

I told you that I would post some photo's of the invites I did for my son's party-- It's a message in a bottle and the ribbon is tied to the message to make it easy for them to take it out.

So here they are:

Those are the cutest invitations ever!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!

Lin, I know a couple of people that have been having issues posting pictures. They have to post the link twice. Then, you see the link and the picture.
So, do I double post it within the brackets?
Oh my goodness!! :rotfl: And do you want to know what's funny? :rotfl: I posted that little tidbit of information before I read back through today's posts where we hit 10,000 posts!! I posted that purely without knowing. :rotfl: I don't know why I think that's funny but in my delirium, I do.

Steven and I went to another seminar today. That's what you get to do when you're not working. [IMG]http://www.sheknows.com/graphics/emoticons/waiting.gif And I didn't sleep worth a flip last night. I was just wide  awake. And I don't think I fell asleep until 2am. I went to bed at midnight, though. I think it's because we went to the Y at 8:30 last night and walked on the treadmills.
But, I had to get up early this A.M. and head up to Greenville for an all day seminar/food demo/food tasting.

So, Steven went to his interview yesterday. He was in there for almost an hour and I just knew when he came home he was going to tell me he had a job. Not so, there are 4 people going for the position but he is hopeful Sooo, PLEASE
please.gif
keep sending your prayers and pixie dust. :wizard:

Of course, I've not got any calls yet about any jobs.

This is me feeling very frustrated and discouraged.

I see where Linda has mentioned nursing or just getting into something else. It really gets me thinking about what I should do? Part of me feels like just figuring out what I want to do when I grow up and just focus on it and get back to school. But oh to figure out what to do, what to do, what to do
hmm.gif
It's easier said than done. Linda:: I've thought nursing before. What are your thoughts on nursing and why would you get into it? I hope you don't mind my asking.

I know what I want to do right now... join Yolanda on that warm sunny beach and have some of these
hosed.gif
. That's right, I didn't say one, I said SOME. :rotfl:
April, I think its ironic too! (about the post totals and our 10,000 mark that is)

Prayers and Pixie Dust for you and Steven! Have you ever considered becoming a financial planner? You love budgeting so it might be up your alley. I know a lot of it is commission based...but I might know someone in need of one...:rolleyes1

My mom became a nurse while I was in high school...she worked Labor and Delivery for a while and now works for an elementary school; but she hates it! She really wants to start a wedding business. In reality I think she just hates working. Her school SPOILS her with a capital S! Well, the parents do at least.

I am so in for drinks! But I missed it!

Please don't get too down on yourself! I've been through so many changes in my life that I thought I couldn't take it anymore. But you know what? Something new always comes around the corner when you least expect it! And besides, do you know how many friends you have here?:rolleyes1
Those are wise and kind words!

Oh April:hug: that doesn't mean you have to give up!!! We have friends that have adopted 2 children... I know there are surrogates out there that you could check into...If your heart is set on having a child in your lives, then darn it ...that is what you'll have! My aunt was a foster parent and ended up adopting 3 brothers.

Keep the chin up and what will be will be! If you want to be a mom then you be a mom girlie! Don't let anything stand in your way!

Chat with you guys in the morning!

Oh, I forgot to share...I saw this on the boards yesterday. Disney is closing Beauty and the Beast on Broadway later this year to bring in The Little Mermaid.

You can also now put some ride photos on your photopass. It seemed like some rides had the option but not all...course I didn't ask so maybe they all do.

Happy Saturday all my hooty owls!

I got my car back tonight... $1930 later:faint:

Like everyone else said, that could have been a Disney trip!!!!

Like, my sister always knew she wanted to be a teacher since my mom bought her her first chalk board at 8 years old. ~Lucky girl~ Me, I'm still wandering through life. I'm like that song: Everybody's Free
(to wear sunscreen)
by Mary Schmich of the Chicago Tribune

There's a line in that "song" that goes:
Don't feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don't. Yup, that's me. :sad1: But I'm feeling pretty guilty. :guilty:

Even though I'm only 24, it still took me a while to decide what I wanted to do with my life. When I was in HS, I wanted to go into hotel management and was an intern for a while. Then when I graduated I wanted to become a teacher. I changed my mind again and now want to become a travel agent. I am sure this is what I want to do. I know I'll never be rich but I feel like this is something I can be good at. It sometimes takes a while to find your direction in life. You'll get there.

I almost forgot to tell you guys!! Exciting news...

I put Emma's princess dress on her again today, after me and my mom both talking it up to her, and she LOVES IT now!! I guess she just had to get used to the idea and be in the mood to wear it. We put it on her as soon as we got home this evening and she sat around watching tv and eating fruit snacks in it. Yay!

*but she still won't let me call her Princess Emma Rose - "I'm just Emma Rose!"*

 :cool1: :yay: Take plenty of pics!!!!

I've got to tell you guys, and maybe it's the alcohol talking, that the hardest thing we ever had to go through as a couple was when that birth mom changed her mind at the last minute!! in our adoption. That had to be the hardest thing! I still think of my little Ava and cry. :sad1: But, she obviously wasn't mine.

I guess adoption was our last hope and so here I am now trying to find my "other" purpose in life because obviously a mother isn't it. :guilty:

ETA:: Linda, you have a very big heart to even consider giving such a gift. You are a good person.

:grouphug:

awww. thank you. I just think how much Kenny means to me..and how much better my life is now...just more fulfilling. The love you have for them...it is unbelievable. If I could help someone that is not able...to make it a reality for them...:cloud9: it would just be the best feeling!!!

lyzziesmom...:thumbsup2 yeah...what you said ;)

Yes Linda, you have a huge heart and are so kind.

Well I'm off to bed.

Good morning, everyone!!!! Does anyone have anything special planned for this weekend? Snow is being predicted for our area, but I'm not sure exactly when it's supposed to start. The predictions are sometime during the night, I think.
How about some Jelly Donuts this morning??

I hope you all have a Soaring Saturday!!!

Wow - you guys were busy last night!

Oh, April -. First of all, lots of prayers for Steven! And as for yourself and your dilemmas, prayers and pixiedust as well. Hang in there! I saw lots of good options suggestions from the ladies last night? Lindas going to be a surrogate??? Something will happen for you - both on the career front and the kiddo front - that is RIGHT for you!

Lin - I saw that yesterday on a newsletter that I get daily - about B&TB - my girl was just a WEE bit disappointed. We are going to NYC this spring (Maybe....) and we had two shows picked, and hadn't actually picked a third show to see - even tho we've seen B&TB touring, I think it would just be the right thing to do to see if before it closes, even tho there's other shows we want to see as well. Oh well.

Linda - $1,900??? :scared1: Geez - that money could SO be spent better at Disney!

Good morning everyone!

I had a good dinner at my moms last night so I missed all the stuff going on.

Looks like I'm way behind on the posts:eek:

Ok, so I see many of us are supposed to get more snow and yucky weather so let's hop on my private jet ;) and spend the weekend here:

PA014421_edited-1.jpg

Au Beach, North Shore, Oahu

As soon as I copied this photo here it started snowing outside. How's that for timing?

April-- It took me 9 years for Keagan.... But I think you just need some  and some encouragement! I have found, in my life anyway, that I have had many different careers. One to match each moment in my life. Keep applying. The other thing you can do is learn a new skill, take a class at a local community college or local community center-- it doesn't have to be something career oriented, just something you've always wanted to try. Sometimes just learning something new helps me to cope with the daily routine of life-- Just a thought. I've got my arms, fingers, toes, legs crossed and prayers sent out for Steven!

Donna- Thanks again for breakfast as always!!!! Good luck today Nathan!

Let's see-- my plans for today-- We had chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast (the breakfast of champions at our house), then Karate for Keagan, then maybe some scrapbooking and a little shopping. Nothing big.

2x-- Hope your feeling ok today.

Have a great day everyone!!!!

Lin-- Thanks for the feedback on the invitations. They were fun to make!

And yes, this is a flagrant (sp?) attempt to up my posts :thumbsup2

Morning all! Well, mom was here and we went through all the girls' clothes, boxing up the summer stuff and the too small stuff, and the just plain ugly and worn out stuff. There is so much more room in their closet now! I also started a pile of clothes to pack for Emma - I'm about 1/2way done packing already!! I found a nice pink turtleneck onesie that Emma can wear under her Princess dress if it's chilly out that night. :)

You guys might think this is weird, but I rode Soarin' once and I really didn't like it much. I mean it was nice and all, but it just didn't really do anything special for me. I don't plan on riding it this time because Emma can't ride, and I'd rather use up my babysitting time on rides I really love (like Mission Space and TT!) But if someone wasn't going to ride Soarin' anyway... I'd be tempted to give it another try.

I was thinking of taking the girls out somewhere today, but then last night I saw the weather forecast and the snow is supposed to start around 3pm and go all the way through tomorrow night. So... I decided we will just stick w/the original plan and stay in having our Disney Movie Marathon. Gotta go, Monsters Inc. is starting!

I have Matt going through his room right now cleaning out his closet...he has more clothes than most girls I know.

Oh, you have to give Soarin' another try! It is the best.

No snow here. We just have a light dusting on the ground but it is cold.

Blake ripped up Briana's carpet the other day and she and her friend primed her walls. Today they will get the paint on. We have to decide what kind of flooring we are going to put down. Her room is in the basement. She wants carpet and Blake wants to do tile with a rug. We'll see who wins this.

Oh I forgot to add...

Remember the issues I was having this week with Matt's health mid-term?

Well after quite a few snarky emails from the teacher I finally got a hold of the principal. Needless to say... Matt got to retake the test. Of course this is after the teacher had collected his binder so he only had the notes he had typed last weekend, not all the ones from the class. Hopefully he did well. He got his Science test graded already...he got a 97%.

His basketball team lost in overtime last night:sad2: He played well tho.

Nick couldn't believe I had posted his picture on here, but he really appreciated all of the comments. Thanks

Have a great Saturday!

Morning everyone (or afternoon really)! Hope everyone has a great Saturday. I have to go in at 3:30 so Chris and I are catching up on some TV from when I was gone.
