Hi,everyone!!!

pozey:: How very interesting about the other company's boss lady being previously involved with Disneyworld Operations!!! Very interesting indeed.

Nicole:: That's awful that you had to get out and drive to work, only to find out nobody was there!!!
That's cool that your mom was hired at Michael's!!! Is this where you take yoour cake decorating classes?

Linda:: I'm glad Kenny enjoys his wrestling!!! I hope he is still enjoying it at the ripe old age of 50!!:teeth:
Terrific joke, BTW!!! I had to share that one with Gary!!!:rotfl2:

lyzziesmom:: Sorry to hear about your dental problems. I had a tooth pulled last week and then had to go back Friday for him to look at one that had broken off. Fortunately I don't have to have a root canal, but he's going to start the crowning process after my Disney trip. He made me a cute little fake tooth in the meantime.....it doesn't look so bad anymore!!! I'm so proud!!
Has Emma warmed up to her Aurora costume, yet?

piglet50:: Welcome!!!! Join in anytime!!!

April:: How wonderful that Steven is being called back for a second interview!!! Hopefully you'll hear something about your prospect soon!!!
Gosh!!! I just hate to have my haircut!!! I always say just a little or to even it up and Melissa always cuts soooo much off of mine!!! I tried someone new a few months ago and absolutely hated it!!! I think I'm going to let my Sis trim on the bottom of mine for Feb. You look like you have such thick, full hair; my hair is VERY fine and wavy. It flips up and waves in new ways every morning!!!:guilty:

Lin:: Your trip sounds awesome!!! Great news about the Disney job. Hopefully something will be available about the time you're ready to move!!!
Yippee!!! You got a Dream Pin!!! I can't wait to be there for all the excitement in just 16 days!!!:woohoo:

sewer:: Oh, man!!! You're going to the dentist, too??!! I've told my DS that he needs to be a denist or orthodontist when he grows up!!!! He looks at me like I'm nuts!!!

Michele:: That is really an awesome picture that Nick drew!!! I'm very impressed!!!

Ashley:: Oh, my, sweetie!!!! I'm so sorry to hear about all your tooth problems!!! I'm sending you some special Tooth Fairy Pixie Dust so that everything will go just fine tomorrow!!!pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust:

What is it with all the bad dental stuff going on lately among the Cliqueless Crew?

sewer said:
I think we're all too sweet!:rolleyes1

I think it's all those sweets I'm serving for breakfast!!! It may have to be fruit and milk from now on!!!!:scared:

Ashley- :grouphug: Just relax and you won't even miss your tooth when it's gone. Maybe the tooth fairy will visit you!:teeth:

Michele- That drawing Nick drew is great!

Lyzziesmom- That teacher does sound kinda creepy. I think you would make a great instructor. My mom brought some jewlery and a binder with some pictures of jewlery she made and was hired on the spot. You should look into it.

Ashley - dental pixiedust pixiedust: for you, dear! $3,000 for a root canal?? That's a little steep!

We really are all having some teeth issues, aren't we? Hey! which reminds me! The tooth fairy didn't come for me the other night!

Nicole -go see Wicked - even if you have to go by yourself!

Michele - great drawing!

April - yay for Steven!! pixiedust:

Happy Birthday Yolanda!!

Lin - welcome back! glad to hear your interview went well, keep us posted!

Ashley...I'm so sorry about you tooth and the pain you are in. Prayers and pixie dust for a successful extraction and a speedy recovery.pixiedust: pixiedust: :flower3:

Yolanda...Happy Birthday...hope you had a nice day.:cake: party:

Lin...so glad your interview went well. I read your introduction last night so I will be headed to your trip report next. Glad the weather was so nice for you.

April...I'm sorry about your haircut...I can't tell you how many times I've freaked over my haircut. :scared1: My hair is also fine and can look flat(unless it's a frizz ball...then it sticks out). I will have to say that you had me giggling about the Jersey girl part....being such a HUGE Stephanie Plum fan...and all the talk that goes on about the big hair. I can't remember...do you read the Plum novels? Last March I was in tears over my haircut right before our spring break trip. I didn't think I could ever look any frumpier than I did on that trip. Good luck being sent to your DH for his 2nd interview. :shamrock:

Michele...I loved Nick's picture. We have some talented artist around. Pozey did they finish the contest with your boys castle pics...they were so wonderful.

Well...I better go check out Lin's trip report.:yay:

Lin- I wish you lived closer to me!!! "Wicked" is coming to Houston and I have no one to see it with! My mom wanted to go with me last year but doesn't want to go now. :(

My mom had a interview with Michael's today and is going to be their new beading instructor!:cool1: 2 weeks ago I told my cake decorating teacher that my mom makes jewelry and she said that she should look into becoming an instructor. So she called last week and had her interview today and got the job! She is so excited. We went there earlier and were there for an hour looking at beads.

Nicole, my best friend lives in Friendswood and had to give up her tickets last time it went through. If you need someone to go with I'm sure she would volunteer!

How cool for your mom!

I'm getting ready for bed but I have to brag a minute...

Nick loves the Japanese style of animation, anime. He watches all these weird shows and loves to draw. He has been working on this picture for days and just finished it. It is so amazing I had to scan it in to show you all.

I'll get caught up tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Yolanda!!!

Wow, tell Nick that looks great. If he wants to be able to blend the marker strokes better Prisma Color sells a clear marker that helps blend lines together and aid in shadowing. I find watercolor is great for Anime drawings, and Prisma Color Pencils. Tell him to keep it up!

Hi everyone

Well my tooth took a turn for the worst last night. Something was really, really wrong with it. I woke Jeremiah up at about 5 am because I couldn't sleep and I was in severe pain. It was so strange because it snuck up on me so quickly, it wasn't even the tooth I got x-rayed in December. It started shocking me (which means root canal! I've had ALOT of dental work done and I just knew.)

Ah, Ashley, I'm so sorry! Prayers and Pixie Dust for you and your poor tooth!

Thanks for the tip. Can I find those markers at Michaels or do I have to go to a specialized store?

Morning all!!

Ashley...I'm so sorry about your tooth.

Have a great day everyone

Goog morning, Crew!!! How about grabbing some Mickey waffles at our resort today and then head on over to MGM?? Sounds like fun doesn't it?

My interview went extremely well! The only bad thing I found out, which is a good thing and a bad thing, is that Disney hires internally first and then any remaining positions get fielded out to external candidates. So, it is a little hard to get into the Professional program but once you are there you can move easily within the organization. Jane and I had a great talk that lasted over an hour! I got the direct contact information for the Professional Recruiter that handles my position and am to contact her periodically for the next couple of months. She anticipated that late March or late April she would have some open positions and if not then late September. Jane called me yesterday and told me how much she enjoyed talking to me and that I "embody the spirit of Disney and what they look for in a Cast Member" and that she had told the other lady all about me and how well our interview went and the other lady is excited to talk to me this spring. So, keep those prayers coming! We are looking at a July move so the timeline they gave me could work out great.
Lin, it sounds like you had a GREAT interview and impressed them greatly!! Fantastic for you.

Good morning everyone!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. We're celebrating on Friday at my moms, so I kinda' wasn't even thinking about it being my birthday yesterday. I spent the day painting my dining room and getting a new rug for the dining room. Good news- My husband came home and he got an unexpected raise! :) I think his boss is trying to keep him because she knows he's been interviewing with that West Virginia company. ;) I sure wish they would hurry up already :confused3 We would like to know if he's got the job or not. Anyway, I had a great day, so thanks!

Donna-- great breakfast as always!

Ashley & Sewer-- so sorry about your tooth problems. It's no fun when you are in pain! Hope everything gets resolved for you both.

Welcome Piglet50!!!! Join us anytime!

Linda-- :lmao: loved your story :lmao:

Lin-- Sounds like you had a fantastic trip! And what a great interview! Way to go!

April-- Good luck to Steven on his interview! I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Tonight we are having a family movie night at my sons school. We (PTO) are showing free movie and giving out popcorn and everyone is bringing blankets and pillows and such to sit on the gym floor and watch. Pretty fun and since I'm the president of the PTCO I love that this event is an easy one!

Hello to anyone I missed out there!

Well, gotta go earn my 2 dollars for the day! Have a great day all!

Good Morning Everyone!

Ashley and Lyzziesmom, you poor things. I opted to have a tooth pulled once instead of a root canal. They were able to numb it (I am terrified of being put under). I hope you feel better.

Lin, for your interview! I'm glad it went well.

April, I hate when new people try to cut my hair. I have hair like lyzziesmom. It's super thick and does what it wants to. For some reason stylists like to try and "poof it up" so I look like some weird mushroom. Once, I went for a trim. My hair is very wavy and acts like a spring. I tried to explain this, but the girl didn't understand. She pulled on my hair and cut it short. After it dried, it curled up and was a good 2 inches shorter than when wet. It was awful. My hair grows fast, so luckily it didn't take long to start looking normal again.

Good luck to Steven!!

I went to a new doctor yesterday. I was told to get there early to do paperwork. I arrived at 10am (my appt. was for 10:30). By the time I left it was noon! The wait didn't bother me too much, but Mike went with me (I didn't know if they were going to draw blood and I usually pass out when they do). They didn't draw blood, so now I have to go to the hosiptal and have them do it (they don't take appts., it's first come first serve).

Don't forget to get your thank you for interviewing me letter out and especially addresss something memorable in your interview conversation.

April, I've never written a thank you (I've never really had an interview before). Do you have one you would mind letting me read? If so can you PM it to me? Thanks bunches!
Lin,
It doesn't have to be anything overly spectacular. Just send a nice, consise letter saying something like "I would like to take the time to thank your for your time and effort. It was a pleasure meeting and speaking with you. blah, blah, blah. I feel that I could bring a lot of energy and knowledge and experience to this position. blah, blah, blah. I look forward to hearing from you again in the near future."
And if you can fit anything in that was mentioned specifically in the interview do that.

Good luck.

Thanks Donna...I left my breakfast that I had packed for work at home. I guess I'll live off your cyber breakfast until lunch.:rolleyes1

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Nicole, my best friend lives in Friendswood and had to give up her tickets last time it went through. If you need someone to go with I'm sure she would volunteer!

Sure, talk to your friend first and see if she is okay with going to see it with a total stranger! If not, that's okay. I'll drag Steven with me to go see it!

Yolanda-That's great your DH got a raise!

Amber: good luck with the blood draw! I often pass out too, the first time it happened I was in high school and it scared the crap out of my mom. I just remember waking up and she was leaning over me, peering into my face and screaming, "Is she dead? Oh my god, is she dead??" One time at the OB/GYN when I was preg w/Lyzzie I made it all the way to the checkout desk and then I passed out in the hallway. That was embarrassing! They used smelling salts and it woke me up like a slap in the face - it was so weird. Now I always warn them that I may pass out and they let me lie down for a while afterward & I'm usually fine. I always have to make noise though, if I can hear the blood going into the syringe I'm out like a light!

Michele: That picture was great! Does he do comic books or anything? I remember in HS a couple kids did comic books and made copies of them for anyone who wanted them. They were pretty good.

Ashley: I hope you get your tooth problems fixed soon! Were you supposed to go in today? Trust me, you won't even miss it after a few days.

Whoops, I got interrupted and forgot what else I was going to say. Darn work!!

Donna - thanks so much for the waffle - it's perfect!

Amber: good luck with the blood draw! I often pass out too, the first time it happened I was in high school and it scared the crap out of my mom. That's so funny about you and Amber - but ya'll are not alone... I do the same thing - or similar. If I'm getting blood drawn or an IV or a shot (God forbid, a shot - I'm better at having blood drawn) I will sit or lie, and my little feet will just be figeting 100 mph (taptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptaptap), and of course the nurses always make fun of me, and sometimes I'll hum (huuuummmmmmmtaptaptaptaptaptaptaptap) and I always look away and close my eyes. For an IV? Sedate me first! (Thank God for low-dose valium) - I've had a few procedures (including Monday's tooth) that I've had to have an IV for whatever reason.
The funniest story was my pre-op visit with the hospital for a surgery I had a couple years ago. I was in getting all my ducks in a row a couple days before the surgery, and I asked the attending nurse - "what can I take for anxiety before you give me the IV?"
"Well", she says "We'll give you something in the IV for anxiety."
"NO - you don't understand - I need something BEFORE the IV for anxiety for the IV"
"But we give you something."
"Yes, in the IV, right?"
"Right."
"NO - I need something to take BEFORE you come at me with the IV needle!!"
"Oh. We don't give you anything for that."
"Well, I need something... I really do"
And the conversation went on..... she wound up letting me have something oral before I got my IV the morning of the surg.

Good luck, Amber! pixiedust: :grouphug:

Good luck with your tooth today, Ashley! pixiedust: :grouphug:

Hey everyone----

your long lost cliqueless friend checking in. Time has just flown by, not to mention I have been more than overly tired. I have NOT been a hoot, by all means lately.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and tell all of you ICE PRINCESSES AND PRINCE to be careful!!!!!!!!!!!

Nicole and Lin----I saw on the news yesterday about Texas and the winter storm. Be safe!!!

AND all you Okies---you continually need to do so!!!

I have been trying to keep up, but your chattiness has overcome me.

Ash-----prayers are with you today on your tooth extraction. I think you made the right decision. I'll be thinking of you today.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY YOLANDA!!!!!!
Glad you had a good day yesterday and have fun celebrating tomorrow.

I will catch up this weekend---sorry this has to be so short, I just don't have time on my side lately.

have a good day everyone!!!

p.s. the boys who were kidnapped and rescued are going to be on Oprah today (actually just their families, from what I understand). I will be at work, but I am having my dad TIVO it for me-----because you KNOW Wilma doesn't have that technology. Anyway, I cannot believe that sicko is pleading NOT GUILTY!!!!

Good morning!

I don't have much time this morning to catch up on all the :chat: from the past few days as I'm off to school to work for the day, but......

April....JCPenny's for a haircut!!!:sad2: Been there done that! Good luck to Steven!pixiedust:

Yolanda....:bday: party:

With everyone talking about tooth troubles, it's making my teeth hurt!:rolleyes1 I'm due to go to the dentist and now I'm afraid to go! :scared: I hope it's not catchy!:rolleyes1

Amber...I used to always pass out before they drew my blood. They would have to lay me down before they drew it or they were picking me off the floor. I got over it with my pregnancy with Brittany because of all the problems I had, I was always being poked. I actually was going to school once upon a time to become a medical assistant and when it was time to start learning how to draw blood and we had to do it on each other, I quit!:rolleyes1

Lin...Your interview sounds like it went really well. Sending you some pixie dust! pixiedust: Sounds like you had a great trip!

Michele...I love Nick's drawing! See if you can send it to David at work. He would love to see it!

Hi to everyone I missed, but I've got to run!:drive:

Have a great Thursday everyone!

DznyFan...Amber...lyzziesmom....

I must join you with the needle problem. I don't pass out but I do go white, cold and clammy, and sometimes see black and start to sweat...so I might as well pass out. With blood if they are quick and get it on the first try I'm ok. DznyFan...for the IV it's much better if they numb it first. I really do not have very many good veins for iv's and blood...darn. I usually feel the same with eyebrow plucking.:rotfl:
