Yep, you can get them at Michaels and Joanne fabrics. They are a little pricey but worth it. I usually order my pencil sets on ebay to save a little money on the large sets.

It doesn't have to be anything overly spectacular. Just send a nice, consise letter saying something like "I would like to take the time to thank your for your time and effort. It was a pleasure meeting and speaking with you. blah, blah, blah. I feel that I could bring a lot of energy and knowledge and experience to this position. blah, blah, blah. I look forward to hearing from you again in the near future."
And if you can fit anything in that was mentioned specifically in the interview do that.

All this talk about giving blood is making me a little woozy!! I can't give blood due to my iron levels. I did hear on the radio today that Carter Blood Care in the DFW area has less that a 1 days supply right now due to the weather over the last week!

I think it's going to be awhile before we get rid of all out ice out here in Oklahoma. It's supposed to begin snowing either later tonight or tomorrow. Travis Meyer told me yesterday that he thinks we'll get somewhere between 3 and 7 inches of wet, heavy snow.

DW took some pictures of some trees in Muskogee yesterday. Now remember, it has been nearly a week since the ice storm hit. And yesterday was the first day above freezing.

I hear rumblings that the state is thinking about giving the schools a break and not adding days to the end of the school year. I think our schools have 3 snow days built in to their schedule. And I think we have had a total of 6 snow days so far this year counting today.

I hear rumblings that the state is thinking about giving the schools a break and not adding days to the end of the school year. I think our schools have 3 snow days built in to their schedule. And I think we have had a total of 6 snow days so far this year counting today.

I don't know yet WHAT they're going to do.

Those photos are amazing and sad at the same time; we continue to hear reports from people we know who have been down in the area, saying how bad it is down there: the damage and such. Those photos really show our out of state friends here just how bad it really is. We really got lucky, in the grand scheme of things.

HI everyone!!!!!

I'm off for a treatment today-----yes-----NEEDLES!!!!!!! You all had me cracking up at your needle phobia. (not that I'm laughing seriously, because I know it is a serious fright for some people). The nurses are having trouble starting my IV's lately because of all the scar tissue in my hands. You should see the pretty bruise on my arm that I've been sporting all week.

I need to call the school district today - not that they can tell me anything - but my friend and I need to buy plane tickets/show tickets for a planned trip to NYC over spring break - we were going to earlier this week, but we put it on hold, to see if they're going to do anything to our spring break schedule. We ran into 2 of Erin's teachers in the grocery store yesterday afternoon, and that's what they talked about - the possiblilty of tacking those extra days onto the calendar - and the fact that people have plans for right after the scheduled last day of school and for spring break. I don't know yet WHAT we're going to do.

I would be interested too. I would think that they would NOT mess with Spring Break. However, they may just drop any days that they might have added to the end of the school year. Too many people plan well in advance for Spring Break trips to mess with - at least that's what I would think.

I agree. As bad as we think we got it here in the Tulsa/Broken Arrow/Owasso area.......other areas got it MUCH worse. Our power went off for about 3 minutes last night about 8:00 p.m. When it went off, I thought the worst - we'd be out of power for a day or two. But it came back on before we even lit any candles. Whew!!

No.........But I did call his wife. I had to ask her a couple of questions. But I did say to her...."So, how much snow does Travis think we'll really get this weekend?" I just had to sneak that in....
