Oh you poor thing Michele! That sounds like a harrowing trip to/from the airport. Glad the luggage finally made it, that would have been such an awful thing to lose! I had a similarly bad trip once picking up my parents from the Miami airport, it was raining with hurricane force winds, my car window leaked, and they neglected to tell me that international was on the opposite side of the airport. That was at least 11 years ago, and it's the last time I've picked anyone up from the airport. I'm glad you all made it back safe & sound! I would have been too scared to ask a homeless guy for directions!
I had a bit of a scare this evening, we were waiting for DBF to arrive so we could go to dinner. The doorbell rang and I yelled for Lyzzie to answer it. She didn't want to and I was getting a little mad, because I had to drop what I was doing to get the door. Lucky thing I did, because it was a stranger at the door! Some guy said his credit card was declined at the gas pump and he was begging for money to get home. I felt kind of bad telling him no but it was true that I don't carry cash, and also how do I know he was telling the truth? He could have easily waited until I turned around to get some money, and then barged into the house and turned out to be a homicidal maniac. It seemed weird that the guy wouldn't have anyone to call, and instead was going door to door asking for cash. I hope I did the right thing.
Lin: I have such a hard time Christmas shopping too. I never know what anyone wants unless they tell me! I usually only think about the kids, and then a couple weeks before Christmas I remember, Oh yeah... I have other people to buy for too! I have no idea what to get my parents this year, they always say they don't want anything. Last year my dad gave my present back & told me to return it and keep the money as a gift to me!
Donna: is this your first time seeing POTC2? I liked it a lot! I'm hoping someone buys it for Lyzzie for Christmas, because I don't buy too many movies. That one is too scary for Emma so it would be hard to find the time to watch it.
I'm hoping to turn in early tonight, I have been having such a hard time dragging myself out of bed lately!

I went ahead and took him to the DR who did a sinus x-ray. I really don't think he completely got over the the one he had in November. We also talked about the hives and the antibiotics. He's getting allergy shots now so I'm hoping in a couple more months we are much improved with the allergies.
Hope all goes well with no repeat incidences.
...so I think we might get the set!

to everyone!
Glad he got home safe and the luggage arrived finally. When my husband traveled a lot for work we had problems with lost luggage. We finally had "spare items" like electric razors and such that he took on trips and kept the originals at home just in case.
What a great way to learn something new and be creative!
And we wait for his luggage, and we wait and wait. 45 minutes later we come to the realization that there is no luggage
Yep, they lost his luggage. The luggage that has the souveniers and Christmas presents for the kids that he bought in Australia and can't be duplicated. So we get on the road at 5. We pull in the driveway at 8pm. It took us 3 hours to get home!!! I-94 didn't get over 5 miles an hour. At about the 2 hour mark we saw the exit ramp for a road we could take home and figured we'd get off the freeway. Well we got off and immediately proceeded to get lost. We were driving around the not so great streets of downtown Detroit, at night, in the snow! Not a fun thing to do! We kept circling and didn't even know what direction we were headed. It got so bad we stopped and asked directions from a homeless guy
Did most of my shopping!
) Organized some of the basement!
I'm so excited !!!!! Plus a few Lenox pieces
