Good morning everyone!
Donna-- Hope Nathan feels better soon! After the day I had yesterday, I'll take about 6 donuts and some Irish cream coffee (heavy on the Irish)
Lyzziesmom-- I'll PM you my email address. Thanks so much for putting this together!!!! Hope you have a great time at the Nutcracker! By the way, I'm totally depressed that I can't have my Heroes fix until January 22 either. Love that show! BTW-- how are you feeling?
Pozey-- I share your distaste for the dentist. I go into a sweat just making an appointment.

My mom said I had a bad experience at a dentists office as a child-- so that's probably why.
Dznyfan-- Hope you enjoyed your daughters program.
Linzybrooke--

First, don't sell your self short and think that you are only qualified for retail. I don't know you that well but it sounds like you have great organizational skills that would be valued at many places. Maybe it's time to think outside the box and try to apply for a job elsewhere? I'm sorry that things have been rough. Hopefully things will feel better soon!
Stupidest joke:
Why did Goofy throw the clock out the window?
To see time fly.
(Except imagine that this is told over and over again by an 8 year old boy who follows it with peels of laughter, saying "isn't that funny mom?")
Okay-- so my meeting with the principle-- We get there and Keagan tells the principle what he knows happened. My son didn't see the kid hit him with the scissors, but another kid did. Soooo we call in the "accused." Of course he denies it totally. We start to call other kids in the class to find out what happened. We get 6 different stories about what happened. One kid said that he saw the accused hit my sons arm, but didn't see scissors. One kids said that the scissors where on the floor and that another kid (not the accused) slid them accross the floor and they hit Keagan accidentally(they were all sitting on the floor playing a game). Another kid didn't see anything. One said he never saw scissors anywhere near them that day. And on and on it goes.... Along the way we do find out that the sub had no control over the class, it was frankly chaos. About the only thing they all agreed on was that they were sitting on the floor.

By this time I'm frustrated! We have spent a total of 3 hours at the school and found out nothing!

I tell the principle that if it was truely an accident, then I have no problems. If it was intentionally done however, I have big problems. Meanwhile, I feel bad for having all the kids come in and talk to the principle on their break. Hopefully the other parents are understanding about all this. If the sub had done her job to begin with, we could have settled this Friday. The principle did tell me that that sub will never teach at that school again. My son still feels, in his gut, that this was an intentional act but there is no way to prove it. So we are at a standstill. So I am left with leaving my son in the class and going on the way things are or moving my son to the other class. I told the principle I wanted to take a week to thinkg through things. I left with a headache. I'm going to try and give it some space and talk with my son and husband to decide what we should do. Oh, did I mention that a few months ago, somone in his class cut up his backpack with scissors? The have a hall connected to their classroom where they hang the stuff and one day the whole front pocket and the shoulder things were all cut up. Of course no one did it

Most of the kids in his class are great, his teacher is great. There are just a couple that are a problem.
Oh well, sorry for the long vent.

It will all work out in the end.
On a brighter note, Have a great day! BTW Love the question of the day. Very fun!
