keagans mom...I love to bake cookies for Christmas. What kind do you bake. I like to bake the Russian tea cakes, choc chip, peanut butter, sugar, ginger bread.... :Pinkbounc

 Hi Stephanie. Is your daughter cheering for any play off games?

2xcited...I'm very sorry to hear about you nephew. That is very scary. I'm glad they ran some test to rule out all the bad stuff. :grouphug: hugs for all...hope he is up an running soon.

Not much going on here until DS's basketball game....

Good Morning!

Donna- Thanks for the pecan rolls!

Keagansmom- Have fun baking all those cookies!

Ashley- I would be angry too!

2X- :grouphug: I hope Lucas gets better really soon.

Well, I might go get some Christmas shopping done. Yesterday I bought my dad and Steven some things, hopefully today I can cross some more people off my list.

Chatty bunch of cliquelessers last night/this morning! I'll try to do another of my oh so popular recaps:

Cobra: available but $$$$$! Will only buy if needed since new job has 30day waiting period, Cobra has 60 days to sign up. Should be able to last a month with no major catastrophe. Cross fingers for me!

Limp kids = scary!! Luckily kids are tougher than they look.

Okies are taking over!! Driven through OK going from TX to MN. Memories = windy. brown. nice. Is KC close enough to attend local meet?

Stephanie: welcome! Last name isn't Plum is it??

Donna: Disney tix... yay!! Are P&P tix available online? Monday 2/05, right?

2x: rest, girlfriend!! Bubble bath, soft music, candles, champagne.

My back: too soon to know if ablation helped. Hurts enough Dr. did not poke & prod. Refilled meds, enough to start small black-market business. Scary!

Scrapbooking & cookies: lovely weekend plan! Would love to join you, but kids would help too much. Need bigger scrapbooking desk - time it takes to haul everything out to dining room table = time to clean up! Am 2 years behind.

80 year old man + 1500 mile drive = BAD BAD IDEA!! Should leave house messy & freak out Auntie Dearest.

Pecan rolls = yummy! Would pick pecans off though.

Mom painted my room yesterday. Looks gorgeous! Might remember to take pics later & post. If so, please ignore mess. Cleaning = not my friend.

Dreamed of Feb trip last nite: forgot camera at home!! Woke up p.o.'ed at self.

Meds finally kicking in... might go to mall today. Waiting for mom to come replace vent covers in bedroom. Bedroom = oven, rest of house = chilly!!

Yes, they are still avaliable on line for 2/5!! :thumbsup2

Well, the Food Drive was a success!!! We are back home with an extra boy!!! :teeth: Nick is going with us to watch Nathan's ballgame. We will deliver him home after the game. Last night at the meeting Nathan said Nick asked to spend the night. Whew!!! Dodged THAT bullet. :rolleyes1

I really need to catch up on my scrapbooking. I think Nathan was 5 the last time I updated the book. The coffee shop where I had breakfast last week, also has a scrapbooking shop. They had some really neat and never-berfore-seen Disney stuff!!! They had the Disney scrapbooking books, too. Didn't check the prices.

Had better think about scrounging some lunch. Think it's going to be hot dogs and french fries. :stir: (that's me cooking.)

I forgot to add, there is a 20% dicount if you type in code: LINSEDSO!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Have decided to wait a few more days on the P&P tickets. I need to make sure I notify the new job of my absence and they are ok with it, since I'm not sure if those tix are refundable. I know I can still cancel my trip if need be. I sure hope I don't have to, I'm really looking forward to it!!

Donna, do you think that code will still work next week? ;)

Hiya, and good Saturday morning to you!

Stephanie ~ :welcome: from your neighbor!

2X2S - how scary about your nephew, Luca. Prayers he's OK.

Lyzziesmom - I laughed when I read your OK memories. Really, you must have come thru during the winter sometime. In our neck of the woods its pretty and green 75% of the time. You're only about 4 hours away from us.

Ashley ~ as I was reading thru your post I found myself thinking how it seemed rude and thoughtless. I mean, a little more advance notice! Seems rather impulsive to me. It just seemed odd, and having his grandpa who's fallen asleep 4 times in a year driving drive back? WTH?

Linz ~ why you ignoring my picture??? huh? huh? you KNOW that's what it's going to be like next Friday morning, don't you?

Hope ya'll have a lovely Saturday!

a Tulsa meet at the "Driller", what a great idea!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Too funny.

Now I am the one with the funky keyboard. One of the kids spilled Gatorade on it. Briana cleaned it once for me, I will have to do it again.

I have my parents, my brother and his family coming over this afternoon for Thanksgiving dinner since mom and dad are going to spend real Thanksgiving with Lesa! My house smells so good right now!

Went to the girls basketball game last night and we got beat bad :sad2:

Now I am waiting for the start of the Michigan game. The Michigan/Ohio State game is always a big deal but this year it is HUGE. OSU is #1 and UofM is #2. Plus we are now dealing with the death of Bo Schembechler yesterday so this is going to be crazy!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Have to get the house ready. Check in later

Yes...its a huge game isn't it!! I can't wait to watch :cheer2: My sister called to ask how the traffic was :lmao: do you really think I'm that  ??? I wasn't going to drive down to Columbus if I could possibly avoid it :rotfl2:

Ahhh Michele...that does smell great :cloud9: and love that necklace...too cute!!

Ashley...sorry for the chaos :guilty:

2x  poor Luca :grouphug: I hope he's doing better! pixiedust: lots of prayers and pixy dust for him!!! That is such a scary feeling. lets see... have to remind you in Feb of the soup story, the fritter story...and something else... oh..and thanks so much. It helps so much knowing we can come here and vent and get excellent advice...and just come unload sometimes. It's very therapeutic :teeth: I hope everything is going ok for you. Your treatments have to be so draining :guilty: I hope we can give you the support that truly helps the soul and brightens your day :grouphug: Oh...and I hope and pray the insurance will cover the treatments your doctor wants to start you on. :wizard:

Welcome Stephanie :wave2:

Nicole, good luck shopping :cool1:

Dznyfan...had to share ;)...we paid our cruise off today party: now to make our Palo adr's and on shore excursions :woohoo: don't tell Kenny... the swimming w/the dolphins :cheer2:

keagansmom... 500 cookies... we'll be right over  I love to make cookies and chocolates and all the goodies this time of year!!

lyzziesmom :rotfl: I know what you mean...don't worry we'll remind you of your camera ;) I know about the cobra too... its usually so expensive. :sad2:

YM... good luck to your ds for his basketball game!!!

Donna...breakfast was fantastic. Thanks!!! Yay you got your tickets.

Just woke up from a little nappypoo---

read this----

looked like this------------>>>>>>>>> :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

seriously sounded like a wheezing hyena----pretty, huh??

You're too funny Bets.

eta--oh look-----tickers.

I guess I get the prize.

What shall it be, I wonder?? Maybe something to go along with the bubblebath, candles and champagne that Lyzziesmom suggested-----

I'm thinking------

johnny824.jpg

yeah, that'll do it. pirate:

Yay, Linda, cruise paid off AND dolphins!! Are you guys doing the swim or the encounter? Can I stowaway in your luggage?

Keagansmom - cookie baking! sounds like you're in for a big project! (and I'd love to help...) I decided (after the peppermint bark fiasco/search) that I think I'll make it this year for our friends. After thinking about it, and getting the tea recipe from Linz, I'm going to make a lot of Christmas gifts this year. I was going over my lists for DH and DD this a.m., and I'm in for a spending a good chunk of change - so I think I'm doing tea and peppermint bark for all our friends, instead of going out and buying for everybody. The peppermint bark should be easy!
of friends and their immediate families. Next week starts the baking!!! I LOVE baking.

Hey, Pozey!: hope you see this before Monday - if your boys' elementary is sending their kids to the auditorium on Monday to see the HS play, they'll be seeing Erin! I know some of the schools are sending their kids for a special performance, but she didn't know which ones.

OSU/Michigan! good luck, Lesa and Linda. Since I don't have any stake in the game, I'm not really rooting for either in particular. I'll just support both my cliqueless friends' teams. IMHO, I think Michigan will take it, as the changed dynamic in the team due to yesterdays' events.

2X2S ~ I demand to know when you snuck in my house and took a picture of my bed!!! (sorry, forgot to make the bed this morning...)

Lyzziesmom----nuff said on the Cobra. Yikes. I had no idea it took so long to kick in. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Be careful momma!!!!

OKie meet----come through STL and will swing by for Donna and we'll ride together. :moped: :moped: :moped:

Can't wait to see the newly painted room. Charge up the batteries on that camera phone. But don't forget it then. j/k

Donna---at least it's just one new boy and not several. And at least you can return him. Nice lunch. I'm glad your food drive went well.
Are you anywhere near Highland?? A client was telling me yesterday about a darling little B&B/spa that has a chocolate shop attatched. She said the owner is selling due to health issues, though. I wish my health was better----I'd seriously think about it.

DznyFan---that's rotten that everything was scheduled on the same night. Too bad. Didn't they think??
I'll be honest---I have never been to OK. :rolleyes1 Everyone's photos look lovely. Road trip a possibility?? :rolleyes1

Hi Michele----I love the smell of the house on Thanksgiving Day. I have memories of waking up as a little girl and helping my mom in the kitchen and watching the Macy's Day Parade.
Have fun today-----Happy Turkey Day Meal. ( or shall I say Dinner?? Meal sounds so.....well.....mealy.)
I heard about the coach who passed away yesterday and though maybe you were familiar with him. So sad. Sounds like he was a great man.

Linda--- :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Yes, it's nice to come here and just talk. You're so sweet. Thanks.
I can't remember the third thing either. The fritter story is really no big deal-----the soup story, however, is pretty darn disgustingly, humiliatingly funny. :teeth:
Yay for paying off the trip!!!! :dance3: :dance3: We won't spill the beans to Kenny. Sounds amazing.

I must be running now. I am meeting my parents who will have my niece and nephew (Isabella and Gianni). We are going to Cracker Barrel for dinner---kids choice----not mine. :teeth: We are then going to Santa's Magical Kingdom by Six Flags to see the lights.
Funny story-----my mom was telling my nephew about the lights and he was all excited to go. She then told him that we would see two million lights-----his response------I don't think I want to see that many. :rolleyes1

Thanks for the P&PD-----Luca is doing much better today. Acting normal. My aunt who is a nurse told my mom that she thinks his little body just gave out after being sick last week and the fall on Thursday. The doctors were really stumped-----but as you all probably have learned------my family is good at that. :teeth:

I haven't started new treatments yet-----still waiting for insurance approval and still there is a question of whether or not we will go that route. We need to do something quick, though-----things have really progressed rapidly even within the last two weeks. I spoke to my boss on Thursday evening and he said they will be supportive with whatever I need to do. This is good to know because I can't be stressing about my job and last time I had to take a 10 week leave. I am praying it doesn't come to that, but each day I wake up with more symptoms. I see my doctor on Monday. I'm smiling, I'm smiling.

Okay, enough downy stuff-------let's do a little dance---huh?? :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Gotta run. Have a good day.

p.s.-----You guys are the greatest!!!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

sorry, sentimental moment. forgive the dancin' Pin-cess. princess:

Hi ya'll!

I tried to order my Disney tickets today, and I told them I had a discount code LINSEDSO but they said that wasn't a valid code. :furious: I told them yes it is, Lindsey said so! :rolleyes1 But no go, :sad2: :lmao:

2x2....Falling asleep at the computer is my job! I didn't even make it on the computer last night. we went out to eat at Cheeseburger in Paradise and I had a cheeseburger in Paradise drink, I got home laid on the couch and that was all she wrote. I guess that is one reason I don't drink. I hope your dear nephew is o.k.! How scary!!! :grouphug:

:welcome: Ready to go in OK  Join us anytime!!

Ashley...Leave the house a mess and then just leave the house! ;) No one be home when they get there. That'll teach her! :thumbsup2 Old Man + car + drive = disaster! :sad2:

Donna...thanks for the sticky buns, I'm picking off the nuts as we speak! :teeth:

Keagansmom...What kind of cookies are you baking? Maybe we should all do a cookie recipe exchange! :teeth:

Michele...don't have too much fun without us, K! ;)

I could go either way. I am from Ohio Toledo to be exact. But I lived in and a prefer Michigan.

DH just ran out the door to go watch the game at a friends house. He heard me mention painting the living room this afternoon.

We went to a craft bazaar at the high school this afternoon. Lots of cute stuff!

Talk to ya'll later!

This game has me on the edge of my seat  we were down in the disney room watching and came up to start dinner. Steaks on the grill
I was wrapping Christmas presents and watching the game at the same time. Now my back is paying for it... hot tub tonight :thumbsup2

Dznyfan...we've don't the encounter in Cozumel so I think I have to contact them directly for the swim...that sounds better to me this time. I think Kenny would just die. He loves animals so much and he would just be in heaven. Feeding them, petting them :cloud9: it's so cool!!! :woohoo: I can't wait to bake either :cheer2: Thanksgiving we're going to Mikes brothers house at 1... it will be his whole family and his ex sil's whole family... strange I know... him, his wife and the ex's family all get along great and are all like one huge family :confused3 so...whatever... it's a great time. They all adore Kenny of coarse so it is a lot of fun. We always went to watch his nephews play football and the grandma is the one that takes all the pictures of Kenny, like the wedding ones .... then we're having my family over at our house around 4...

2x... " I don't want to see that many lights" :cloud9: isn't that just too cute  sounds like something Kenny would say. Too cute. So glad Luca seems to be doing better. :cool1:

be back..time to eat..and missing the game..oops Mike's giving me heck :rolleyes1

OMG...that was SO CLOSE!!! :faint: What a game  shew...the Bucks pulled it off....

Ok...time to wrap some more gifts...Mike asked if I needed a few days alone to wrap his :lmao: that's a good one :rotfl:

2x: I don't think having JD in your bed counts as relaxing, girlfriend!! (and if it does, you're not doing it right). But seriously, I hope you get to feeling better soon. It makes my troubles seem like a drop in the bucket. Glad Luca's feeling better. Your family does seem to have its share of mystery ailments!

Lesa: I wonder why the code didn't work for you? I'd complain!! ;)

DznyFan: my thoughts exactly (mine mine mine!!) I love those guys!!

Linda: yay for getting the cruise paid off! That was fast, or maybe it just seemed like it from this end of things. The dolphin swim sounds so fun, I have always wanted to do that! But in reality, I have some water issues and probably would be too freaked out to enjoy it to the fullest.

Michele: you get to have Thanksgiving twice, lucky girl! As long as you don't have too cook twice, that would suck the joy right out of it. Whenever everyone is together and you have the special dinner, it doesn't matter if it's on the "right" day or not, it IS a holiday. I think I can smell your house from here and it's making me hungry!

Hmmm let's see, Thanksgiving plans... going to the folks' house. I assume my brother & his DGF are coming too. They are not ones to pass on free food! I invited DBF, but he is "not ready" for the holiday meal w/the parents yet. I can't say I blame him, I'm never ready for it & it's my own family!!

We spent the afternoon at the Great Mall of the Great Plains. Went to a place where you paint ceramics, it was pretty fun and affordable too. We also went to a Chuck-E-Cheese-type place called Zonkers. It was exhausting for me & fun for the kids. They got their faces painted:

153756472325_3300.jpg

153756309509_3300.jpg

I had to negotiate with Emma a bit on the design, her first choice was a skull, which she called "scary Halloween face" and her 2nd choice was a spiderweb! Eeek!! Both of the kids ended up losing most of the facepaint by crying. Emma cried because she didn't want to get back in the stroller, and Lyzzie cried because she accidentally left her bag of loot on a food court table, and by the time we realized it, found the cleaning lady & retrieved the bag, which the cleaning lady left on top of a trashcan (this whole thing took maybe 10 minutes) someone had rifled through the bag & stolen most of it. I felt so bad for Lyzzie, but hopefully this will prompt her to take better care of her things & pay more attention to what she's doing. It was a tough lesson for her to learn.

Once again, I overdid it for the day and I am sooo sore now. I'd love to take my own relaxing advice, but the Dr. advised me to avoid heat on my back, it could cause more bruising & bleeding and I do NOT need that. I wore some new jeans the other day that are a slightly lower rise than my usual "mom jeans" and was horrified to realize that my bruised behind (technically "lower back", don't get too excited pozey!) peeked out when I sat down!! Good thing it was cold outside, I just left my coat on.

Once again, what was supposed to be a quick check-in has turned into a looooong post, sorry guys! Hi to anyone I missed!

Hi everybody!!! Just got home, will take a minute or two to catch up!!!
