Hey kids---

Back to reality-----

I don't wanna!!!!!!!!!! (as I kick and scream and throw fists around)

Spent the day waiting for Dr.'s phone call---hence Wilma not being able to use the computer. She finally called and I had to run errands----pick up mail from the week, get a prescription filled, Target (of course :teeth: )----ya know, the usual.

Linda---sorry you and Kenny are feeling under the weather----that stinks. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Kenny makes a great Jack Sparrow, btw.
I finally got to ride TT----thought of him the entire time. (Kenny, that is, not Jack---think of him ALL the time)

Miss Donna-----you are the sweetest!!!!! Thanks for the eggs benedict. You know they are my all time fav!!!
I slept alot yesterday----yes, I was poooooped!!!!

Lyzziesmom----Recovering.
good luck on the potential job. Sounds like they are impressed. We know you're really a pirate: though. J/K---- :teeth: :teeth:
I tried Beverly----Emma can keep it!!!!! I must agree with Miss Lyzzie. I about gagged!!!! But remember--the Pin-cess has an extremely weak stomach. Yuckeeeoooo!!! (that's the Italiano version)

YM---hi cupcake-----I think we keep missing each other. How was your weekend away??

Pozey----I must agree with you----I got Tonga Toast and my dad got the Pineapple Macadamia Pancakes----needless to say my fork kept sneaking onto his plate. Tonga Toast was good, but I don't think I'll get it again.
Have fun with the kiddies while Mrs. P. is away.
Are you sure you don't have an available brother?? I like your rule of dating.

Angela----you are so close!!! 30 days!!! Working at the Store sounds great!! The only thing I would worry about is that since you would be part time, would you get the icky hours----ie, nights, weekends, etc?? I would check into that. Just a thought. Lin would know, right??

Nicole----Mickey is the ONLY mouse that I like/love. Not too crazy about the rest. I'm sorry you had to witness that.

I know I'm from St. Louis and am somewhat following that we are in the Superbowl----j/k----World Series :teeth: -------but-------we have a guy named Kenny Rogers?? Geesh, Lucille sure picked a fine time to leave him. I'm embarrassed to say that I am familiar with that song. Just a little, though.
I remember when I was a little girl and we were on vacation in Branson, I think it was----we were at some sort of tour of something and they had a wagon ride with a "host" driver------think Jungle Cruise in a wagon. Anyway, our kooky driver made a joke about the wagon and sang "you picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel" hahahahaha. Corn-eeee!!!!
So, everytime I think of Kenny Rogers, I think of that song. the end.

Hi to the gang!!! :wave2:

Hi LetterDavidMan-----glad you decided to join us!!
I remember seeing your name a while back when I first joined the DIS and thought "how clever".
Welcome to the Cliqueless Crew.

Angela----I had forgotten that your trip was a surprise. Ben and Connor have no idea?? DH?? When are you going to break the news?? How fun!!
My mom works with a girl who is going with her entire family-----13 or 14 people in all. They are staying off property, which is up to them, but the thing that gets me is that she was asking my mom today where she thought they should eat. They would like to do a couple of TS. They are leaving is 3 weeks. I'm pretty sure they don't have a clue!! They'll be burgerin' and doggin' it for sure.

DonnaLeah--Hello back at you! :) And don't worry about being shy. I'm one of the shyest people I know. But you all are exceptionally freindly people, I must say. I haven't felt more pleasant recently than I have reading some of the warm posts welcoming me to this thread. :goodvibes

I do thank you! :thumbsup2

Another welcome... :welcome: drop a line anytime. :flower1:

Yeah, I know....I guess I'm just single dad'ing it for a few days.

No, her seminar is actually just a couple hours away in Oklahoma City. Interesting enough.......it's at some kind of dude ranch.

Actually, I enjoy the Halloweentown movies. To be honest.....I watch as much Disney Channel as the kids do..... :rolleyes1
.

Hey Pozey...I'm single momming it. I just had to comment that most of my siminars are in Oklahoma City too...darn :smokin: Luckily I've a found one in Orlando to attend in February. ;)

My DH is in Seattle...I usually run a pretty tight ship when he's gone. pirate: pirate:

Linda...sorry you and Kenny are sick....get well soon. ::yes:: :flower3:

Hey 2xcited...nice to see the dancing Pin-cess again. princess:

:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

I forgot to tell you that due to the heat and humidity, my locks were extremely Plumified!!!!

Scary!!!

Luckily I brought my handy dandy Mickey cap. And purchased another, so I'm all set for Feb. :teeth: :dance3:

Good evening everybody!

I had Maddie to the doctor today. She was running a high fever again and she was getting pretty wheezy. She couldn't inhale enough to get the medicine out of her inhaler. I was giving her albuterol through the nebulizer and the doctor added prednisone and another steroid. He wants to see her back on Wed. Poor thing is still just laying around. I finally got her to bed and her fever is back down.

Lesa...does Maddie have bad asthma? What kind of meds does she take for it...if that's not too nosy?
Not nosy at all. Now if you were asking about what kind of toilet paper I used, that would be nosy! ;) :teeth: Madison's asthma is triggered anytime she gets sick, and usually is worse in the spring and fall, fall being the worse. Mostly she just gets to coughing and wheezing really bad. Only a few times has she ever had an issue with not being able to breath very well. She is on singular, turbuhaler and albuterol. They all do a pretty good job at keeping it under control, but the minute she catches a bug, that's it. When she is really wheezing I usually give her the albuterol from the nebulizer as it seems to get into the lungs better than the inhaler. Every year she missed several day of school because of the asthma. It sounds like your ds has it pretty bad also.

:welcome: letterdavidman and praterslovedw :wave2: :dance3:

Amber....I hope you get your furnace fixed soon! It's been pretty cold here!

Donna....Nathan is a very handsome young boy! The snake on the other hand, not so handsome!

Nicole....Yikes a mouse! We had several living in our garage. I purchased one of the live traps, but the darn things died anyway. :confused3

Angela....Michele and I worked at the Disney store back in the day! It was really fun. I don't know how they are now that Disney doesn't own them.

Same here! I was like "Kenny Rogers plays baseball???"
My thoughts exactly!

Linda.....I hope you all are feeling better soon! pixiedust:

Lizziesmom....Good luck on getting the new job. Is that extra vacation week something you could negotiate? :confused3 They did only take one set of x-rays on Madison's elbow. I think he decided to wait to take more because they can make us come back again and get us for another visit. She still as of today cannot straighten it all the way, if she is feeling better tomorrow I am going to try to get her in again sooner than Friday. I think there is more than just fluid built up.

Michele....Fishy cookies huh! :crazy2: Don't you know, when in doubt, throw it out! ;) I think that would have applyed well in the case of a year old batch of cookies! :teeth: When I heard you guys were having a party without inviting us I was rather upset. :guilty: Then when I heard you guys didn't have any fun without us I felt a little better! :rolleyes1 :teeth:

Gotta run, my sick baby is back up. She can't sleep because she keeps coughing so much. :sad2: Have a good night! :wave2:

Michele and DznyFan--

aren't you all DVC members, or am I making this up??
If so, any thoughts?? Honestly.

Thanks.

Hi Lesa,

Hope Maddie is feeling better soon!!! Poor baby.

I thought of you too when we were in WDW-----had to fill up the rental with gasoline------the station was connected to a Wendy's. Took a pic for you. :teeth: I was too full from Earl of Sandwich though to go inside and check out the vanilla frosty situation. Maybe next time.

Lesa...wow...I feel so bad for Madison. :flower3: The little girl across the street had a break in her elbow that didn't show up for a while... :confused3 As for that pesky asthma...my DS take singulair, flovent, and abuterol (or xoepenex). We are lucky that he only coughs with his. When he was a baby he would cough so much that he couldn't eat...just with a flare of course. He does have some trouble with sports but we use foradil on those days. Hang in there...hope she turns the corner soon...hopefully the prednisone with act quickly.

Hey 2xcited...glad to hear you have your hats ready to go...we are not tolerating frizzy hair on our trip. I've got a hat for each day. We need to get Donna a few...remember her saying something about not being a hat person. :rolleyes1

Sure am! In fact, the two XM Radio stations I listen to the most are the On Broadway and Cinemagic channels. I love musical theatre, and, though I haven't done any plays in ten years, I'd love to audition for a local production. My dream roles would be Sweeney Todd (from, of course, Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street) and Tevye (from Fiddler on the Roof).

So are you a musical theatre fan? What are, say, your top five favorite musicals?

"Im Joh VonShusten, heres another Broadway SRO" That guy cracks me up.

Lets see, I played Snoopy in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and it was a BLAST. But my top 5 roles would be, but not necessarily in this order:
1. Elphaba in Wicked
2. Maureen in Rent
3. Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady
4. Belle in Beauty and the Beast
5. Eponine in Les Miserables
6. Winifred in Once Upon a Mattress
7. Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods
(okay thats 7 and I could go on)

Musical Theatre, and theatre in general, are my passion. I can belt it and dance pretty well but actually majored in Scenic Design and Scenic Painting at Texas Tech. I really want to be an Imagineer.

I still can't believe that Sweeney didn't win the revival Tony. Nor can I believe they are reviving COMPANY this year...I HATE that musical, I really do, and at Studio 54 no less!

Alright, everyone that is interested in working Holiday at The Disney Store I shall give you the shpeel.

~Discount is 30% at TDS and TCP.
~If you are regular (not seasonal) you can request 3 one day hoppers each calender year after you have been there for 60 days (hint for those of you on the Feb. trip).
~Flexible Scheduling, they no longer require weekends but would really appreciate them if you can swing them. Some managers may still personally ask for it, but if you tell them that you thought they were offering flexible scheduleing they shouldn't argue with you.
~Pay depends on the store and your experience so I can't answer any of that.
~Not being owned by TDS hasn't really changed anything but our costume and the park admission and we no longer take back online returns. Employee relations are WAY better under TCP and we do offer part time insurance once you hit the eligibility stage with enrollment every three months.

Any other questions just throw them at me. I'd hire you all!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone!!! I just love to have to read through the previous evenings' post before I have breakfast!! (I'm really serious, no kidding!!! :thumbsup2 ) I think we're going to have a quick breakfast before starting our busy day!!! Just for you, lyzziesmom!!!
z18988070.jpg

I'm having a piece of cinnamon toast also!!!

I hope everyone has a TREMENDOUS TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :sunny:

So, where has Michele been this week? On they on fall break? Maybe that's the reason she's not been here in the mornings!!! :teeth:

Lesa::I hope poor Madison gets to feeling better. I hate it when our little ones are sick. :grouphug:

YourMajesty:: How...sweet...of you to think about my frizzy hair in Feb.!! :teeth: I'm still thinking about the hats. Maybe if I can keep my stylist from cutting too much off, I'll look chic in a new hat!! :rotfl2: :earsgirl:

2x2s:: I'm glad you are catching up on your rest!! I REALLY am anxious to hear about your trip!!

Well, I must be off. Time to start my busy day!! Talk to everyone later!! Have a good one!! :wave2:

Here is another picture of Nathan. This character may or may not be as scary as the snakes!!! :rotfl2: deleted picture

This was taken at Universal in Aug.

For all you pirate fans, that is a POC medallion he has on his neck!!! :goodvibes

Donna, thanks for the yummy toast, a perfect combo for my cup o coffee!

Madison and I have been up since 5:00. She still has a fever, but it is a low grade one so that is good. The cough still sounds horrid and constant. What she needs to do is throw up. With all the stuff breaking up in her lungs she really needs to get it out. We had a bit of a spat this early morning cause she didn't want to do her nebulizer treatment. Flipping off the old cartoons worked wonders. ;)

YM....Luckily we haven't had a problem with the sports triggering her asthma. DH has exercise induced asthma and it's not any fun for him. I certainly hope the prednisone works quickly, it better! The box cost me $90 thanks to the lovely insurance we have.

Mechele.......oh Mechele, where o where are you? :listen: You didn't go off and get a life outside of the disboard now did you? :rolleyes1

2x...I hope you get your power nap in today. We want to hear more about your trip! :listen:

I wonder how I can convince Madison that we should go back to bed for awhile. :scratchin

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Sorry, I haven't seen my favorite smilie used in a while! :teeth:

Hope everyone has a good Tuesday!

Had a 2nd interview today and it went really REALLY well. She did everything short of handing me the job. She kept saying things like, "We were so excited when we saw your resume!" and "Nobody else had the qualifications and experience that you have" and "we are willing to pay you more than what the last person was getting since you have a lot more experience". Boy have I got them fooled! (j/k) Sure would be nice if I could manage to make more money than I am now to boot. However, the one negative is that I'd have a week less vacation time than I have now. I should find out early next week, or perhaps even later this week. I'll keep you guys updated!
That's excellent news! Sounds like they really like you. You could possibly use that to your advantage in negotiating more vacation time. :thumbsup2

Yeah, I liked the Tonga Toast.....but it wasn't my favorite. I'm more a sausage, eggs, and pancakes kind of guy.
Me and the kids got up, dressed, and out the door the same time we normally do this morning. Kind a surprising, but we did it.
