Hey there strangers :goodvibes

Kenny is feeling much better telling me "yesterday morning I was REALLY sick...but in the afternoon I was feeling better and now I'm REALLY all better" As if I weren't right there watching every moment ;). Thankfully I feel better other than a stupid headache.

Lesa...hope Madison gets feeling better soon pixiedust: :grouphug:

2x...you finally rode ToT :Pinkbounc did ya like it???

I like ToT... but I love RnR

good luck Pozey ;) you're a great dad and I'm sure you've got it all under control :smooth: sounds so cute Courts singing and coloring :cloud9: they're so adorable!!!
guess I better get some work done :rolleyes1
Have a great day everybody...

welcome letterdavidman :wave2: I'm from Ohio too... I live in Mansfield but work in Columbus  yes...crazy commute!

Thank you. I try.

And yes, Courtney sings all the time. Sometimes she sings songs that she learned at daycare. Sometimes she will sing her ABC's over and over and over. Sometimes she will just make up songs.

Whew! What is that, about an hour each way?

That can be difficult if you don't have something you like to occupy your time during the drive. Like a good radio station or something like that.

Linda, when I lived in FL I had a commute of about 45 minutes (on a good day). I used to get books on CD from the library, they were great! I found myself sometimes actually hoping for bad traffic so I could hear more of the story.

Alright Lyzziesmom here is the picture of my kitchen to make you feel better about yours! :) How do you like the ironing board left up in the background? :thumbsup2
kitchen.jpg

Linda I'm glad that the Kenmiester is feeling better! :goodvibes

Wow Angela, you have an absolutely gorgeous kitchen (underneath the bit of clutter, anyway - which is really not bad at all). That's how my kitchen usually looks. I have discovered the best organizing tool ever: baskets. I toss all the clutter into a few pretty baskets and voila! I call it "decorating".

pozey, Emma has just started singing. She likes to sing "Tomorrow" from Annie, which is funny because she has never seen the movie but loves the song and can sing the whole thing in her own little way. I was going to buy her the movie at Target on Sunday, but was surprised to find they don't carry it, even in the "family classics" section.

Hey Hey,

I can't stay long----waiting once again for my doctor to call. She is trying to talk to two different doctors out of state (Pennsylvania and N. Carolina) to get their opinions on my condition. Story of my life----back to reality---again. And today is my first day back to work after vacation. I'm having a bit of the after vacation blues......it is showing??

Donna---thanks for breakfast. I thought of you every morning----pretty much at Roaring Forks with my bagel and hot chocolate.....and the people. Hats are my savior--------who needs to look chic in WDW?? :teeth:

What she needs to do is throw up.

ummm, yeah, thanks Lesa-----just took a bite of breakfast..........stopped in my tracks. :goodvibes (that's me shuddering)
Hope Maddie's feeling a bit better.

Pozey---thanks for the clear up on Kenny Rogers----told you I'm not "with" it......this is hockey, right?? :teeth:
Whatever.
How young is young?? The Pin-cess is no young chickie.

Linda---I think we must have a miscommunication-----does Kenny like Tower of Terror or Test Track???? I rode Test Track for the first time. I rode Tower of Terror a loooong time ago---liked it but I don't think I can do it again--especially now that they change it up for every ride. The special effects are awesome, though.

Angela----awww, that's nothin!!!!! I think I see a Hidden Mickey. On a folder. Right in front?? Beautiful kitchen, btw.

Lyzziesmom----I'm wondering if you can get Annie at Blockbuster or Hollywood video--even in the "previewed" section. I swore I have it here somewhere. Do they still have Suncoast video at the malls?? It's one of my Isabella's (neice) favorites too. annie, not suncoast. :sad2: sorry, sometimes, I don't even make sense to myself. :teeth: pirate:

everyone have a wonderful day. wish me luck at work. please. please. please.

Good luck at work, pin-cess!!

Blockbuster pre-viewed.... d'oh! Why didn't I think of that! There is a Blockbuster within walking distance from my house. Well, it's walking distance if I'm feeling energetic. And brave, as it's diagonally across the intersection of two divided 4-lane streets. Anyway, it's close to home. Thanks for the idea!!

2x...my bad...yes Kenny LOVES Test Track... I've never let him ride ToT yet. I think I'd have to change his clothes after that one. :rolleyes1 Test Track is so awesome :woohoo: did you like Test Track? Its not too bad.

pozey..its an hour 20 minutes on a good day  and I have a heavy food :rolleyes1 the worst was 3 speeding tickets in 12 months :sad2: .

lyzziesmom... that would be great to get to listen to the books on cd. I did buy one but everyone knows when I'm driving and that's when they all decide to call my cell. So, usually it does go fast b/c I'm talking :ssst: When there is an accident or something... it is the worst. The nights it takes 2 1/2 hrs or longer to get home..that's when I'm ready to pull my hair out. Its 75 miles one way... its just about all freeway... It would be nice to move closer but Mike doesn't want to. We are trying to get it where I can work from home more ...or consider other possibilities!

Angela... your kitchen is gorgeous!! I love the colors!!

Hello All!

Our internet at work stopping working this morning, so I am just now able to DIS. It's suppose to be down on Thursday too (we are upgrading systems). :badpc:

Lyzziesmom, :wizard: that you get the job and make more. It sucks that you won't have as much vacation time, but more money is great!

I also use baskets to hide my clutter. I have a basket for everything (keys, mail, odds and ends). :thumbsup2

2x2s, :grouphug: I hate going back to work after vacation. I am already dreading coming back and I still have a month until my trip.

Angela, your kitchen isn't bad at all (I love the cabinets/countertop). Mine usually looks like a bomb hit it (Mike does all the cooking. He insists on using EVERY bowl we have. I guess he thinks he's on a cooking show, because he puts ingredients into little bowls, THEN adds them to whatever he's cooking. Thank goodness for dishwashers!)

Lesa, I hope that Madison feels better son. My little brother is sick. Mike is too. He has been sick for over a week now.

Linda, glad you and Kenny are starting to feel better!

Well, our furnace is fixed!!! :dance3: I called yesterday and they sent someone right over (the woman sounded quite frantic when I told her we had NO source of heat whatsoever). Some seal had broke. I am so happy it's fixed (especially since the high today is 47º)

:wave2: to everyone, so sorry if I missed anyone.

Amber... so glad you got your furnace fixed!!! :woohoo:

decisions decisions... I was looking at 4 nights at wdw at a value w/tickets and ddp...$1600 but for a 3 night wdw/4 night cruise is only $2085... that is staying at Caribbean Beach and has 7 day park hoppers w/them... :confused3 what am I gonna do?!!! I think the combo is an incredible price...but the only bad thing is the cruise leaves on Sunday!!! So we'd only have Fri-Sunday about noon at wdw w/you guys :guilty: :sad2: Hi...I'm Linda..and I have a serious Disney addiction

Hope Maddie's feeling a bit better.

Sorry, it was early I guess I was thinking out loud! ;) :teeth:

Well Madison must be feeling better today. She has argued everything with me today, mostly taking medicine. She is still wheezing so back to the doctor tomorrow.

Linda....I have the perfect solution for you. You take us all on the cruise with you! ;) :teeth: That does sound like a really good deal. :thumbsup2

I forgot, I am on my 2nd Plum book. I started the first one on Sunday now I'm on the second! :cool1:

I had a bit of a sweet tooth this afternoon. I made a big pan of rice crispy treats covered in chocolate! Yum!!!

Lesa, your krispy treats sound delicious!!

DBF is on his way over. He wants to "talk about where this relationship is going." (but he did assure me this is not a breakup talk)

Sheesh, I thought *I* was the girl around here!

Here I am...thanks for thinking about me.

No we aren't on fall break, I have just been crazy busy. Plus, I really don't want to get up in the morning!

Blake is in Baltimore this week so I am doing the single parent bit. It gets a little easier as they get older, Pozey, but it depends on how many activities they are in.

Nick and I had to go to a 2 hour meeting at church last night for his confirmation. I came home and fell in bed I was so tired.

I have to chaperone a dance at the MS tomorrow night. That should be fun, I used to do it when Bree was that age. I remember walking around the dance floor picking the boys hands up off the girls heineys, saying her waist is up here!!

Oh, Nick went on a field trip today to see a play. They were told to dress for the theater. Which for some kids apparently meant their 'good' jeans. Well Nick went all out. He wore black dress pants, a red silk t-shirt and Matt's suit coat. He looked sharp. After the play a girl from a different school gave him her phone number !!! My baby is growing up. Of course Matt had to give him some advice. Like don't call her today, it looks desperate. Wait until tomorrow!! That's what brothers are for!!

I'll try to remember to check in in the morning!!

Good Evening everyone!

Thanks for breakfast Donna! Cute picture of Nathan, Spongebob scares me! :scared:

Amber- I'm glad you got your furnace fixed!

Linda- I am happy you and Kenny are feeling better!

Angela- Your kitchen looks fine, I like the counter and cabinets!

Have a good evening!

Anyone other than me having internet trouble...mine was only getting on the DIS boards.

Thanks Donna for the toast...it made a nice late evening snack. Oh...I guess we can have a non-hat gal or two :confused3 :teeth:

Lesa...hope you and Madison are getting some sleep tonight. Good luck back at the Dr...how's the elbow?

Lyzziemom...hope your talk went ok. :goodvibes

Linda...good to hear Kenny is feeling better....

Well, it seems like a few people are missing lately...DznyFan...are you having any internet problems....I see Pozey was on today.

Angela...do you actually use that ironing board. :confused3 :teeth:

Hi Michele...there are a few of us single parenting this week....one being me. :teeth:

2xcited...hope work went ok? I'm sure it's hard jumping back into reality especially dealing with an illness. :goodvibes

 Hello to all the cliqueless crew. :wave2:

oops...Amber it's your Mike that is sick....hope he gets to feeling better (and your little brother) :goodvibes . I see you had some internet issues but you are upgrading...good luck.

Donna, do you get the frizzies? Mine are the worst!!!!! You should see our pictures from our first trip in 92...my hair looks like Albert Einsteins.

Night everyone!!

Linzybrooke....we had a fun time talking about all the frizzy hair here a while back. I guess it's a universal problem in steamy Orlando...plus with a couple of water rides thrown in. :scared1: I have some hideous pictures myself...well most of them are bad hair. :rolleyes1
