...snipped...April, in August when we drove from Florida to VA we stopped in South Carolina at that Beyond the Border or whatever its called hotel on the South Carolina/North Carolina border. It was fun.
We're aaallll ------->the way on the other side of the state by Rt. 85. We're in the mountains and hills region known as the Upstate. I've been to South of the Border a long time ago when I was a wee one. It was a stopping point when my mom would drive us kids down to WDW and to visit the grandparents.

My problem is I have Champagne tastes on a Beer budget!! Translated that means, Deluxe taste on a Value budget!!!! If my good sense kicks in I will probably be in a Value, too!!!

This is my problem too!!!! I say this all the time to DH about myself.

April::Linda's hubby is going, too!! We can't discourage a Disney-lovin' guy from going! My DH is not THAT crazy about WDW and he's going to stay home with Nathan.
Thank you for saying that. You will love him if he gets to go.
And I'm not just saying that cause he's mine. He's the life of the party wherever we go.
But not in an obnoxious way.

Whew, got 12 resumes sent out. If I don't get a nibble from that, I'm going to go hide in a cave because I obviously have no desirable skills.
Donna, yes I'd say Little Mermaid is a must-do! MGM is probably my favorite park lately (I love them all, it's so hard to choose!) and the one we usually go to on our arrival and departure days. I just love the look and feel of that place! Ironically, on my last trip that was the park in which we had the worst day so I didn't enjoy it to the fullest. With my folks along, I felt so rushed. They have the attitude of, okay we've seen this, what's next? Sometimes they want to know what's next before we've even finished with the current thing. I'm more of an enjoy-the-moment girl so we butt heads a lot. I'm sure that won't happen in Feb, because there is enough of us going that we can split into smaller groups and everyone can do what they want to. For me, that would be.... everything!
I'm exhausted, I forgot how tough a job search can be. I'm making myself a daiquiri and watching Desperate Housewives, then starting on Plum #8 and calling it a night!
Hi to everyone else, hope we all had a Wonderful Weekend, and to all a good night!
Whew, it sounds like you've been a very busy girl!! Crossing my fingers and sending you lots of pixiedust!!
I started reading #8 on Monday and I'll almost half way through it. I tell ya', I just can't put these books down. I really wish she would just get with the man in black (that's code for those of you who haven't started them or aren't too far in the series yet) ALREADY!!! Sheesh!!

...snipped....April----oh, your a luv!!!!!! I kept reading about the moleskin but had no clue what people were talking about. Now I know exactly what the package looks like. Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! BTW, what's the difference between the $50 moleskin and the $5 moleskin?? More prestigious moles?? No, seriously.

Well, you see when I'm talking about the $50 moleskin I had to take into account that we had to get a taxi which took us from Disney property all around the mulberry bush to a Walgreen's --$28.00, then buying two packs of moleskin --$10.00, a pair of scissors to cut said moleskin because I didn't bring any from home --$5.00, buying other miscellanious stuff because we were at Walgreen's --roughly $7.00. So altogether because I forgot to bring moleskin
(and scissors) from home it cost me around $50.00. That's the difference between the $50 moleskin and the $5.00 moleskin.
Now let me tell you
(incase you don't already know) that if you know you are prone to blisters in a certain spot cut a piece of the self adhesive moleskin and apply it right to the spot in the very beginning. If that's not the case. Then should you start getting what they call a hotspot (you know an area that is soar from being rub and could turn into a blister) get the moleskin on it right away. Once you have a blister the moleskin doesn't really help. Trust me I know. However, if you catch it right at the beginning stage the moleskin is a foot
and trip saver!!

No problem if Steven wants to join us. Mike is tagging along with Linda. They can bond and complain how much time you girls spend here.
I can't wait to see what you think of the Lakehouse. I saw it at the theater. Let me know when you are finished. We'll discuss.
We need to start a list of cliqueless birthdays.
Next weekend is Donna's, Lyzziesmom's and Ashley's, right?? Anyone else??
Let me add my name to the cliqueless birthdays. Mine is October 25th. Right after I move so many states away from my family.

(this little face is called guilty but I use for sad)

I was actually born in Lubbock, Texas then lived in Dallas for a couple of years. When I was in kindergarten my dad got a new job in Minnesota so we packed up and moved north. I basically grew up there. All my childhood memories are from there and lived in the same town from the time we moved there til I went off to college...in Lubbock, Texas at Texas Tech to be a theatre major. Met Chris (DH) and then when my sister graduated high school and decided to go to Tech as well my parents decided to move back to Dallas. Then Chris and I got engaged, married and now live in the Dallas area. But, my sister just moved back to Minnesota. I really miss it a lot. The people and the culture there are just amazing and its an incredible place to live. Aside from the ice.
Hi Lin
Thanks for taking the time to share that with me. Isn't it amazing how some places just "feel" like home? That's how we feel about S.C.

We haven't found Princess yet. Talked to my sister this evenign to see of she had an extra cat, thinking Princess might have found her way to her house. I'm afraid some of the guys that were here last night had trucks and she might have hitched a ride. We were very attached to her and I hope we find her.
Donna, I sure hope by the time I'm finished reading/catching up you find Princess. I'm feeling so bad about your kitty being missing.

I miss my cat. She's still at the kitty condos where we have her boarded while the house was/is on the market and people were in and out and inspections are being done. I can't wait to go pick her up.

They just removed the baby!

How bizarre! Pregnant for 46 years.

It was about 7lbs and it still had a lot of it's features. She was from Lithuania.
That's gross, yuck.

I threw a few more resumes out there this morning, and I've gotten a couple nibbles including an interview on Wednesday. That's the same day I go to court for Emma's name change, so I only have to break out the nice suit once! It's encouraging to know there are possiblities, just in case. I'm not getting the greatest feeling about things here today, but I could just be a little paranoid. Can ya blame me??
YM, hope the MRI results are good.
Gotta run, just wanted to check in and say a great big HOWDY to everyone!!
Hey that's great news, lyzziesmom!! Oh, and that's pretty cool about the suit too!

Good luck!!
And good luck to you YM!!

Just a quick pop-in with good news.!!! I found Matt's ring. The one he got at WDW with his initials on it, that I thought I lost after football last week.
Whoo hoo!!! I was taking Nick and some other neighbor kids to catechism this afternoon and one of the boys out of the blue hands me the ring and says 'here'
I have looked there many times since then, don't know how I missed it. My mom says we found it since we were on our way to church. Ok, whatever, I'll go with that.
Matt will be sooo excited when I pick him up later.
Hey Michele, that's great news. And, that sounds like something my MIL would say. Hey, I'll go with that too.

Well, I get a call from Courtney's daycare around 3:00 p.m. this afternoon. She was running a fever.
Some back info...
Last Friday, her daycare called and said she was not feeling well. So, I went and picked her up. She went with me as I took both boys to Swim Team Practice. She started getting really hot while we were there, so I called DW and told her she needed to come get the boys after practice, because I was taking Courtney to the doctor.
We see the doctor and she says Courtney just has some kind of viral something. Says to just give her Tylonol or Advil and rest.
Courts had a little bit of a fever Saturday, but she was seemingly back to her normal self yesterday. Never ran a fever.
Now it's back today.
Oooh, I hope little Courtney is feeling better real soon. How is she doing today?
Yea for you on you 1,000th post!!

Hey chicas!
Just a quick pop in. I'm up on the computer helping Colton with an assignment. The PTA is having a contest called Reflections. It is an Art/Music/Literature type contest. Last year, Colton's picture he drew won 1st in school, 1st in district, and placed in state.
This year he wants to do both Art and Literature.
This year's theme: My Favorite Place.
hmmmmm......wonder where that would be??
So, he already wrote his literature piece. It's very good. I'm helping him print it out on the computer.
He already has a design in mind for his art piece as well. He wants to draw Cinderella Castle in the middle of the poster, and then surround it with the Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth, and Sorcerer Mickey Hat.
Anyway, he's still thinking of all the things he is going to say about why he LOVES Walt Disney World so much.
Oh, you have got to share it when Colton has completed his writing and drawing!! I'm excited to see it and read it! That is so cool!!

Have any of you guys watched the new tv show "Heroes"? I hope this one doesn't get cancelled, I really like it! It seems like everything I like gets cancelled, so maybe I just have bad taste?
I think I'm going to shop for a new outfit tomorrow. I saw a darling black suit at Target last week, it had a flippy knee-length skirt with a really nice fitted jacket. Something nice for court and interviewing, plus I love suits because I can mix & match the pieces.
I've been watching it. I think it's a great show. I didn't see this week's yet but I'm going to catch up on it via the computer. The outfit sounds great!
Well, I'm going to send this post out there and keep on catching up. Apparently, I've reached my quota

of smilies/images and had to cut some out. And you all know how I need my smilies to convey my emotions.
