Yay Nicole, how exciting!! Are you packed yet?

2x - as far as I know, ipods should be fine on the plane. We brought some electronic devices on the plane with no problem. I would never fly with Emma without the DVD player... the girl needs her daily dose of the Wiggles!!

I don't know if it's the weather constantly changing or what, but my back problems have been so bad lately. I've been ripping through my pain meds and I usually don't take them very much. I haven't had any today and I am having trouble walking well. If this continues I may have to break down and (gasp!) go to the doctor.

I hope Ashley's having fun today!

Donna, thanks for the breakfast! How funny that it was from DL - I was just thinking yesterday how much I would really love to go to DL. I haven't been since I lived in CA when I was 4 and I don't really remember much of it. I need to keep my eyes peeled for any good deals they may have for next year. Without the dining plan, ME and value hotels, DL is so much more expensive than WDW that I have trouble justifying it. Someday....

Linda, Kenny is too cute with his 3 girlfriends! When Lyzzie was in preschool she had 3 boyfriends. In fact, she inspired a new rule at her daycare: Keep your lips to yourself! The boys would kiss her and she would just stand there - for some reason they loved that reaction. Hunh. His Christmas list sounds "all boy". I'm so glad I have two girls, because I just do NOT understand boys and their fascination with guns and cars and such!!

pozey...we go "all out" for our indoor decor but outside we just put lights around the house and I have a huge Mickey blowup we put out. he's like 7-8'... basically I don't do much outside b/c I HATE THE COLD!!! :teeth: inside we have 2 full trees. One in the living room and one in the dining room. One is nothing but disney ornaments and the other is prob. 1/2 disney and the other special ones you HAVE to put up. I have so much disney christmas decor it isn't even funny...really!! I'll take pix ;) I'm about 80-90% done w/christmas shopping. Just did some yesterday. sorry, not much help on the ipods, never looked into them.
Sounds cool! We have lots of Disney indoor decorations, but I haven't got anything outside that is Disney.

better go check on Kenny...he's back in his room playing. He's making his xmas list...he wants a rifle w/a scope :rotfl2: , a crossbow, a 4-wheeler,power rangers toys, a remote control dinosaur and a truck like Mikes :lmao: this kid thinks I'm RICH!! Mike keeps telling him he better be good or he'll get coal. He thinks its real too b/c my mom gave my neice coal b/c she had been back talking her parents :rotfl2: now he's like "oh no!!!" :teeth: but she did get her gifts...he don't remember that part :ssst:
Yeah, Chase has been working on his Christmas list for some time now. And then yesterday he asked me "Dad, can I get a dirt bike?" He wants a motorcycle SO BAD. In fact, he has asked for one since he was 5. I will probably get him one, but not this Christmas. Maybe next year.

Oh......and I can see how him having a motorcycle is going to go.....

pozey, I decorate inside, but not outside. I love Christmas and usually put stuff up Thanksgiving weekend. I haven't done any shopping yet; I want to try to do that at WDW.

Both my brothers ride dirt bikes. Josh (21) got his first one when he was about 8 or 9. Tyler (9) has been riding since he was 3. He wants to race as a career. I can't ride at all; I wreck all the time. When Josh turned 16, my mom refused to buy him a car, but got him a motorcycle. She thought it was safer. (She also used to ride- street bikes, not off road). :moped:

2x2s, I drink a LOT of caffeine. If I don't drink something caffeinated each day (OK, several times a day) I get horrible headaches. I like water, so I have that going for me. I did drink one tea today, so I am going to try to stop gradually. Hopefully that works.

I have great news. For our trip, I wasn't able to get a package the whole time (and get the discount). So, I had to make a room only reservation for the first night, then switch to the package. Well, today I was able to get a package for the whole time!!! Now, I don't have to pay OOP for our Thanksgiving meal!!! Nor do I have to worry about switching rooms!! I am so excited!! :woohoo:

Amber that's awesome  :cheer2:  sounds much easier now :cool1:
Kenny keeps asking for a dirt bike too...maybe I should check into them. I keep thinking maybe another 2-3 years but some things it seems like its better to start them out young... :confused3 ahhhh boys!!

lyzziesmom "no kissing" :rotfl: that's too cute!! I know what you mean, I wanted a girl and tried for a girl but after the miscarriages I said forget it...I just want a healthy baby. I knew that very day he'd be a boy and sure enough...here he is and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Now I can't imagine having a girl. I'm so use to hot wheels and ninja turtles and power rangers :) Yes, Kenny loves his guns!!! All boy!!!

pozey... That would be Chase wouldn't it? :teeth: look dad..no hands...!!! Kenny wants one but then again, he wants everything!

Yep. That's Chase. He is a big time daredevil when it comes to certain things - like riding his bike, scooters, in-line skates. But he is a big time chicken when it comes to certain thrill rides. He is scared at the thought of riding them - even though he has ridden E-Ticket rides such as Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Splash Mountain, and Expedition Everest. I even got him on The Mummy ride at Universal Studios (took a LONG time though). I think he likes to be "in control" of his daredevil activities.

Funny story......Chase was the only one of my 3 kids who did not LOVE to be tossed up in the air. You know.....the age old ritual of a father throwing their children up in the air as high as they can go and then catching them. Colton and Courtney LOVED when I did that. Chase would hold on for dear life!! :rotfl:

Yet, he has no problems lacing up his roller blades and going as fast as he can down the 25 degree incline hill down the street!! :confused3

that's too cute!!
sounds like a guy I work with. He loves to drive 100mph in his vette but won't go near a roller coaster :rotfl: he says he has to be "in control". I see what he means but I keep telling him it is more common to have a car accident than get hurt on a coaster...oh well :)

Kenny was the one to hold on for dear life when you throw him up too! That look of pure fear on their face!!!

well I just got back from the dentist and had to have a root canal :sad1: hope your tooth is ok YM!!

Oh...Linda sorry to hear about your root canal. :scared: I couldn't get into the dentist today or tomorrow...so I'm going Wednesday am. Luckily, I'm not in any pain...at least from the tooth. My arm is hurting much more than before I went ot the othropedist. He gave me a shot of numbing stuff and cortisone. I'm not the best with shots and it took like a minute or so to get the meds into the arm. He was telling me to move my shoulder around...and then he left. Thank goodness becuase I was 30 seconds from passing out(this is embrassing to me  ). I made my way to the table in a cold sweat and fanned myself. I get to go back next week for an MRI. :sad2:

Love Kenny's xmas list...he would get along great with my boys. If you don't buy them a gun they will make them out of their crackers and peanut butter sandwiches. :rolleyes1 Isn't it amazing to see this from day one. When I was pregnant with #2 I bought DS (2) a nice doll so he could get used to a baby. He wouldn't touch or look at it...refused. I finally took it back to Target...it was $30...no need to waste money. :teeth:

yeah, I have been known to pass out at the dentist office a time or two :rolleyes1 I remember when I was a kid I passed out and when I came to the nurse was yelling at me to breathe... I hate needles!! Hope the shots help your arm though. They usually help Mike for a little while.

I'm sure they would get along :goodvibes that is too cute he wanted nothing to do w/the baby doll. I'm sure he came around when the baby really came around. It was interesting to watch my sister w/her 3.

wow, Wife Swap was interesting as usual :teeth:

I just have to share with you guys.... I came home from work today and there in the mailbox was a new credit card! Now this may not seem like a big deal, but it is to me. I declared bankruptcy shortly after Lyzzie was born, and have not had or used credit for almost 10 years. I will periodically apply for something, usually to get a free tshirt or whatever and to see if the bankruptcy has dropped off my record yet. I don't plan on really using this card, but it means that I can start rebuilding my credit again after all this time! It's like the last piece is in place to rebuilding my life and starting over. So.... YAY!!!

YM - that is too cute about the doll. It's hard to get little ones used to the idea of having another little one around! Lyzzie was five when Emma was born, and I think she was old enough to understand it, but she was very prepared. She used to put her face up to my tummy and yell, "Come out baby, I want to see you!"

Linda - root canal! Ugh. I have not had one and don't plan on it anytime soon. You guys are making me want to go brush my teeth (again)!

Christmas shopping, wow. I used to be the one who was always done by Thanksgiving, but not so much anymore. I do have a bunch of things for Lyzzie that I originally bought for her birthday, but then I realized there was just too much. I usually pick things up for a few months whenever I see something good on clearance. I am such the bargain hunter! I got her this amazing embroidered courduroy fleece-lined knee-length coat at the end of last winter at Old Navy for about $12. I wish they made it in my size! I am having trouble thinking of what to get for Emma this year. She is at the age where she is bored with baby toys but not yet big enough for much else. But honestly, I can't really start to think too much about Christmas until Halloween is over. I hate how holidays come earlier every year. I like to enjoy whatever holiday is current rather than hurry up and look forward to the NEXT one.

Amber, that is great news about the package! I bet you're really glad now that you dumped that TA.

2x, weren't you the one cutting back on caffeine? I actually drink nothing but water most of the time. My dad thought I was nuts at WDW on the free dining, I would just order water with my meal. He couldn't understand that I didn't want a soda, even if it was FREE. I don't like how the caffeine makes me feel all fluttery and nervous, because I'm not used to it. I don't drink coffee or tea or sodas (unless there is rum in it!)

Well I'm off to catch up on my tv watching for the night and then to bed. I'm ready to start Plum #7 tonight - can you believe how quick I'm ripping through them? Halfway done, babe! I'll be disappointed when I'm done. Are there any more coming or is #12 supposed to be the last one?

I hope everyone is enjoying their night :)

My goodness all of this holiday talk I cant believe it is 3 months away. We usually spend the first weekend after Thanksgiving and decorate and since we are apt dwellers are decorating is primarily indoors.

Lyzziesmom - When we lived in Boston the weather would do that to my back so hopefully it is just temporarily. I know how you feel about getting the credit card in the mail, a couple years ago I was lucky enough to find a huge mistake on my credit report. It said that I was in collections for hospital bills in 10s of thousands of dollars :scared1: (never even spent time in a hospital) I only knew bc I went to get preapproved for a loan and was shoced at the rate and how low my credit score was. It took like 6 months to fix the problem and was probably 1 yr before I saw a credit card thing in the mail. Congratulations! :cheer2: (wow that was long winded)

2x- so which was it today wendys or wholefoods?

All right I am going to do the bedtime routine (wash face, brush teeth, set alarm, etc)
Incase I dont make it back GOODNIGHT

Is it too late to jump in on the Cliqueless Clique?? LOL

Been around the boards for a while but never on the Community Board...to be honest until today I didn't know it existed!

Lyzziesmom---before you head away for nighty night---

You're messing with an emotional girl here. I cried when you wrote about your credit card in the mail. What a huge accomplishment!!!!!!! It feels so good to get everything back in order again, doesn't it?? I'll have to tell you in Feb. about my ex. situation too. I pretty much got kicked out of my house w/him. Long story. But I know how it is to have to rebuild. Hold your head up high, girl!!!!!!!

There better be more Plum books!!! She's leaving us on the edge if there's not. They do go quickly, don't they?? I am seriously contemplating re-reading them for the third time because I am finished with #11 second time around and don't know of any other author who writes like her. I really don't care for her other work, though, just Plum.

p.s. It's Amber who is cutting caffeine. I'm a water and sometimes iced tea girl. Not to mention red wine, and cosmos and anything else in that family. :teeth:

Hey Miss Pix---

I'm trying to catch you before you go to bed too. You should see how fast my little fingers are a-typin'.

I was a good girl and went to Whole Foods---but not until tonight. I was going to just go the our local market but decided to go ahead and go to WF. I ended up spending way too much time and money. But, at least I didn't do the fast food thing. And I am feeling better today because of it.

Speaking of feeling better----how are you feeling?? Did you get through your day of work and school??

Amber---good luck with the caffeine weaning. It may be rough at first but keep it up!!
Yay for being able to extend your package. I know they're being sticklers about things like that lately, so congrats!!!

Linda---YUK--root canal???? When do you have to get this done??

Lyzziesmom--again--thanks for the info on the electronic stuff on the planes. I need my music in order to relax.
I'm sorry you're back is giving you trouble. It may be the weather change??

YM--The trick is not to look at the needle. It helps me, anyway. :confused3 I'm surprised they let you alone in the room after your cortisone shot just because of the possibility of you passing out. ???? hmmm.

Hi Lin and welcome!!!!! :welcome: :welcome:

Come on by anytime and join us.

Since I am the only one here tonight, it seems, I am reading your trip report right now. Thanks for the link. You and your hubby are such a cute couple and seem to be so nice!!! Enjoying your trip report very much!! Hope to talk to you soon.

Hey 2xcited...I'm here. Oh...no way did I look..Well I took a little peak at the needle/syringe  ...they looked pretty good size (they were laying on the table). I can't stand the feeling of a needle in me...and they started out shallow and got deeper as they delievered all the meds in it. Plus, when they oringinally said it was numbing and cortisone...I thought that meant they were going to numb my arm so I wouldn't feel the needle. Silly me, the numbing med was for my shoulder so they could see if the pain and weakness went away...which it really didn't...thus the MRI. Goodness I'm a little wordy tonight. I'm surprised he couldn't see my pale color before he left but I was glad to find the table and crash for about 5 minutes. :faint: I didn't know you could pass out from cortisone? My arm is killing me tonight so I hope the cortisone kicks in soon. :teeth:

Hi 2x! :thumbsup2 great job on WF!!!!!!! I love how proud of myself I am when passing up a sweet. It is a very hard thing to do and you did great.

I am feeling much better today! I feel normal again. :teeth:

Before I'm off to bed I just have to say, 2x, that you had me in stitches the other night with your search for a vanilla Frosty! Which sounds delicious by the way. I am not a huge chocolate ice cream lover (I know, shame on me!!) so the frosties were never my "thing". I always said, "Why can't they have regular shakes like everyone else?" and now apparently they DO! Hmmm, I have some returning to do at Target tomorrow, and there is a Wendy's across the street. I may have to drive by just to look and see if they have them. And if one should happen to fall into my car because I drive too close to the window, then I guess I'll just have to drink it won't I?

'Night girls! and pozey!

Hi Lin, it's never too late to chat with us, hop right on in!!
