Hey, one of my dream ambitions is to take a pottery class-----seriously!!!!

Does anyone remember macrame?? Ya know, those braided thingies. I have no idea what they were made of. All I remember is that they used to stink when they were being braided and the fibers used to get all over. I swear my mom had so many macrame plant holders in the day. Casey Kassum presents................the '70's.............."do the hustle". :dance3:

Did someone mention red wine and cosmos earlier...I can't recall :confused3 :teeth:

sorry, got sidetracked. I'm back, I think.

Good Morning!!

Well Blake left last night for India. Poor thing is still on the plane. He had a 9 hour to Amsterdam, a 2 hour layover, then an 8 hour to Bombay. I think, or it was an 8 hour then a 9 hour ?? Anyway he left at 7 last night so he is on the second leg of this trip. We were talking about it on Sunday when Matt started asking questions...all this time he thought Blake was going to IndiaNA...Close but oh so far!

Have a great day!!

Michele:Good morning!!! I'm wishing Blake a safe and speedy trip. What does Blake do for a living that he travels so much? If you've ever said I don't remember.

Good Morning

Linzybrooke, :welcome:

Michele, I hope that Blake has a safe trip. I can't imagine being on a plane for that long. The poor thing.

Donna, that fruit looks yummy. I addition to giving up caffeine, I am trying to eat better (and lose weight). I need to have Mike go to the store (he does all the cooking and shopping :thumbsup2 )

Lyzziesmom, congrats on the credit card

 pozey, YM, Linda, 2x2s, Jill, and anyone else I forgot

Goodmorning everyone :sunny:

Michele whn is Blake going to be back? I had to chuckle at Matt that is too funny.

Donna breakfast looks great, just like something people going to a nutrtion convention would eat ;)

TTFN :wave2:

Morning chicas & chico! I've picked us up some pastries from the Fountainview Cafe this morning to go with Donna's fruit bowl.

Butterfinger cheesecake is a pastry, right?

Hey, kids! I've been doing some catching-up reading, as I'm in my accounting month-end at work and pretty busy.

So I was reading yesterday, you guys all talking about Christmas shopping (which I have NOT begun), and what did I dream about last night?? Christmas shopping. I guess I'd better start researching MP3 players.

Linda - Yuk! on the ol' root canal thing - hope you're not feeling too bad today!

Michele - pixiedust: to Blake for a safe trip, and hope he's home to you guys soon!

Lyzziesmom - yay for your surprise in the mail, it'll be good for emergencies!

Donna - thanks for breakfast!

YM and Pozey - howdy, neighbors!

2xcited, Amber, Jill and Nicole -

Ashley - thinking of you as you enjoy your trip, girl!

Linzybrooke - :welcome: although I didn't see you come back after you introduced yourself - hello!! I see you're a Wicked fan!

Morning chicas!

Donna & Lyzziesmom - Thanks so much for the wonderful breakfast!! I love some fresh fruit in the morning.

Well, I am having TV troubles at home again. I think I mentioned to everyone a couple months ago about a new TV we bought.

We purchased it back in June from QVC. Got it hooked up and it worked for less than 2 months and then it just quit working completely. Called the manufacturer and I had to send it back. I had to pay shipping - which was right about $40. Then, they were going to ship me a new one.

Well, last Friday, I received the new TV. I hooked it up Friday night. Well, Saturday morning, we turned it on and about 5 minutes later, the speakers started making a very loud static noise. So, I called customer service. They told me to unplug it and leave it unplugged for 30 minutes - this was supposed to "reset" it. Well, we were leaving for the football game, so we just left it unplugged all weekend.

We come back home Sunday, and turn it on. It works fine for about half an hour, and then the static comes back. So, I call customer service again. So this guy says let's walk through hooking it up again. Maybe the wires are messed up. So, we walk through set up again. It works for the rest of the night.

Come home last night and DW is in the bedroom where the TV is and she is watching TV while walking on the treadmill. Starts doing the same thing.

So, once again, I call Customer Service. I ask to speak to a supervisor. I tell her that I want a new TV, and I DO NOT want to have to spend another $40 to ship this one back. She says they won't do that. I have to ship it back before they will send me a new one. I say that is NOT acceptable. I ask to speak to her manager. Her manager is not in - I have to call today between 8 - 5.

Then I told her that I will file a complaint with QVC over poor quality and poor customer service AND I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Plus, I will give the product negative reviews on epinions.com and any other internet site that reviews electronics.

There.

Thank you for letting me vent my frustrations.

Now............on with our beautiful day.

Hmmm, I just got a Ding from KC to St. Louis for $39.00. I have been wanting to go to the Six Flags there ever since we moved here and just haven't gotten around to it. I'm thinking maybe I should go for the weekend for my birthday in a week & a half! For those of you who live there or have been there recently (ahem, ahem!) do you think there's enough stuff there to keep Lyzzie entertained? She is a roller coaster chicken but loves entertainment and tamer rides. Is there enough to do for two days, or is one day enough time to do it all? The Ding is only good until 3:30, so I have some serious thinking to do!!

Good morning all

Thanks Donna and lizziesmom for the yummy breakfast treats. :thumbsup2

I need to go get a tire fixed...yippee. :Pinkbounc

I'll check back with the cliqueless crew a bit later. :cheer2:

Good Morning kidlets---

Michele----safe trip for Blake!!!!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: for Matt and Indiana!!! He probably thought, "I'm never going to Indiana, it takes too long." :lmao:

Donna---thanks for the fruit----it was most eventful!! ;) :teeth:
You're making it very difficult for me to even have a cyber splurge.
Thanks Buddy, I mean Betty!! ---wait you have a Buddy doggie, don't you?? Was not intentional. :sunny:
I will be at work at 7pm so enjoy Concourse with Ash and Jeremiah in my memory. And please watch for and wave to Monorail Pink for me.

Hi Amber----how's the caffeine going?? Crabby yet?? :)

Jill---you are really into this nutritional convention, huh?? You can call it what you'd like. :teeth:

INSERT YUMMY PICTURE HERE cuz my computer's whacked.

Butterfinger cheesecake is a pastry, right?

Ahhhh, that's the spirit!!!!

Butter and cheese----dairy
not sure about the finger though?? Protein??
alright go ahead and say it----eeeewwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi DznyFan---you busy girl you!!! I used to run payroll for a company---I do not miss the month-end!!

Pozey---sorry about your TV woes once again. Maybe you need to take up reading?? :teeth:

Lyzziesmom--again-----hey chick------the Six Flags thing----I have not been there in honestly about 15 years!! I know they have lots of coasters and a water park but from there I have no idea. I thought I read somewhere that they have a newer "looney tunes" area but maybe I'm dreaming this?? If it is not enough for a whole weekend---maybe the St. Louis Zoo?? It's free admission, but you pay for parking (if you can't street park) and the train ride, if you'd like and of course out the you know what for food. But, in retrospect it is a really nice zoo. Do you have a zoo in KC??

I know Donna just went to Six Flags but I don't think she'll be home in time for your decision making window. What weekend??

YM--what happened to your tire??

Me too. That's what Chase wants.

Well, I am having difficulty focusing on work this week. I am beginning to dislike the projects I am working on here.

And on top of that, I have received no less than 4 e-mails or calls in the past 3 days inquiring about new job opportunities. I am not out actively looking for a new job, but I will listen to most opportunities. We have decided that a move to Florida is out at this time, but have not ruled out a possible move to Columbia, South Carolina. Plus, it seems as though the IT job market in Tulsa has perked up a little here lately.

I went out in the yard last night after we got home. Chase and Courtney wanted to play. Chase roller bladed and rode his scooter, while Courtney sledded. Yes, sledded. Our house sits on a hill, and there are parts of the yard where it is steep enough to sled in the grass. :rotfl2:

I had my camera out and took LOTS of pictures. Once I get them uploaded to Photobucket, I'll post some.

2x - Have you tried talking nicely to your computer? Sometimes that helps mine get in the mood to work for me. Maybe dim the lights, put on some nice music?? If that doesn't work... kick it. It might not work any better, but you will feel better!

The St. Louis zoo sounds nice. Yes we have a zoo in KC but it is pretty much a dump, and it's $8.50 to get in!

I'm doing the math in my head (can you smell the smoke from there? Hear the gears grinding to a screeching halt??) and I'm thinking it might be just as easy, possibly cheaper to just drive to St. Louis. It's not really that far and Lyzzie is an excellent travelling companion. However, I really do love flying. But first things first - I will have to call my mom and see if she will watch Emma for the weekend. Highly doubtful, but always worth a shot. Oh, and it's not this weekend but the next.

I'm lighting some candles and putting on some Sade right now. Hmmm, I'm not thinking about the computer. pirate: pirate: :teeth:

Would that be the weekend of Oct. 14?? Darn, I will be in .......sshhhhhh.............WDW :ssst: :rolleyes1 .

The St. Louis zoo is in Forest Park which has a couple of other things to do---Art Museum, History Museum---all free. I'm not sure if Lyzzie would get into this, though.?? Maybe?? Forest Park is a beautiful area----just go during the day if you're not familiar.

If you fly, then you'll have to rent a car, right?? I'm just thinking of proximity from airport, to Six Flags and Forest Park.
