Well, I ended up just driving by Wendy's---well, alright---I drove by Wendy's via their parking lot and drive-thru window :teeth: and there was a sign--"We are sorry for the inconvenience but Wendy's is closed until further notice". :confused3 :confused3 hhmph, well, okay. So quickly in my head, I mapped out the route to the next nearest Wendy's----on a mission now---that and I really wanted it!! I must tell you that in my quest for the now infamous vanilla frosty I ran out of the house with the first thing on that I could find-----black casual skirt, brown t-shirt and pink flip flops. I was a walking color wheel. Anyway, I drove to the next Wendy's and once again----CLOSED. Someone was telling me that I did not need that frosty or the burger and fries I was going to get along with it. ssshhhh. :ssst: So, after my jaunt around town I ended up at Culvers and I am paying for it now. Feeling kinda icko. When will I learn?? At least I won't be eating any dinner because everything sounds disgusting. Whole Foods here I come--tomorrow.

p.s. I was talking to a friend tonight and happened to mention the Wendy's saga and they mentioned that the news had on that all Wendy's in the St. Louis area are all closed---probably going bankrupt. So, no Frosty's EVER for me. I don't know whether to be happy or sad. :confused3 :teeth:

I'm sorry you didn't get to get a vanilla frosty! :guilty: Don't worry, your not missing anything, they aren't that good! :rolleyes1

Say it isn't so! Wendy's can't go out of business! :sad2:

That's not what you said earlier, missy-poo!! :teeth: :teeth:

It's alright, I obviously didn't need one anyway.
My friend that I was talking to earlier told me to drive where you live so I can get one. He said if I disappear for a couple of days he'll know I'm on a road trip in search of a Wendy's. ;)

I'll check out our Wendy's tomorow to see if they are still open!! I'll smell the Vanilla Frosty before I send it to you!! :p
Lesa, I hope I'm not grossing you out too much about Wendy's. All are ran differently. We just had the one bad experience. Maybe the mgmt. was on vacation. :confused3

:lmao: :lmao: I know ours still is open cause I had one last night! :rolleyes1 :teeth: Where do you live? You could do a road trip to IL. Pick up Donna along the way and we'll all meet at Wendy's for a vanilla frosty! :moped:

Don't worry Donna, you can't gross me out. I don't eat their food anyway, just the frostys.

Donna--

oops, I forgot to tell you about Culvers. Do you have them in your area yet?? They are fairly new here. The burger patties reminded me a bit of Steak-n-Shake but the bun was very similar to Wendy's, almost like an eggy bun (I was going to say egg roll but that's Chinese ;) ). There menu is quite extensive---fish, fried chicken, beef sandwiches, patty melts, salads, frozen custard, etc. This was only about the second time I've been. It was good, but I can't do that very often anymore, unless I stick to the salads, which I obviously didn't do today. I even had a car picnic because of my kickin' outfit. :lmao: :teeth:
Yep, me in my cute attire, in my car on the parking lot of Costco eating my butterburger (I always want to say BetterButterBurger in a squealy voice :confused3 :teeth: ).

Hey, I'm in St. Louis. Where in Illinois are you?? For some reason I kept thinking you live near Michele since you are related. Lightbulb moment.

And Donna, yes, please smell the Frosty before you send it my way!! thanks.

We have several in our area, but what is a butterburger? :confused3 It sounds like it is all dripping in grease and butter. :3dglasses

I WAS stuck in that suitcase for a few hours!!FYI YM, you are not falling apart!!! I think a trip in Feb. is just the therapy you need!! :thumbsup2

Lesa, I love that movie too. At one time I had it recorded on video tape, I don't remember if I have it on DVD or not. I may have to go look. It's a great holiday movie. Is Crystal Lake a big area? My friend moved to Lisle when she got married, always said the "shopping was good!" :woohoo:

Yeah, don't have any idea where this is. Being a bit geographically challenged--near Chicago--just north of??
And being the clueless cliqueless that I am, I have no idea why they call them butterburgers. Not anymore greasy than any other fast food burger, IMO. :confused3

Crystal Lake is about an hour North west of Chicago. It is actually quite a big city. I am at the most southern part of it. Actually if you have ever seen Groundhog day it was filmed in Woodstock IL which is 10 minutes from here. That probally doesn't help.

It's about light out time at our house. 5:30am comes pretty darn early!!
DS is already tucked for the night, and with a little luck he will stay there!!
Burger.jpg

Here's a little bedtime snack. :goodvibes
Good night my Cliqueless friends!! :cloud9:

Night Donna! :wave2:

I'm actually shutting it down too. I have had a bit of a headache all night and I hope some Motrin and sleep will get rid of it. I have to get up extra early because Madison has requested pancakes for her birthday breakfast.

Good night!
