My little brother (9) had his first ever football game Saturday. His team lost, but Tyler got a couple tackles. :cheer2: He was so tired, he was hardly out of the game (played both offense and defense).

That is so tiring for them. I'm sorry they lost but it sounds like he played well.

All the boys want to cut a trail between our prop and theirs, and string christmas lights, so they have a lighted trail at night. I already have my hammock trees picked.

That sounds so much fun!! How lucky that your friends will be so close. You guys are going to have a ball!!

:tiptoe: I am so sneaky today, I never come on during work, usually bc I am always working. today I just feel like slacking. We all have those days right. :badpc:

I wish I could do that. They blocked the computers at school from discussion boards. I can get to the opening page but no further. I would love to DIS when I have kids working on papers and things.

Pozey What a scary story. How horrible that would have been to see. Didn't she realize the train was coming?

My knee is doing ok, thanks for asking! When I walk around alot, (Like in that Mills mall, whichis huge) it starts to get a little sore, but nothing bad so far. My ankle also has been hurting, which is weird, I'm not sure why that is! I'm putting the heating pad on my 'to pack' list so I won't forget it though! It really helps. Hopefully we'll have nice weather for our trip! I hope its not too hot.

QUOTE]

Your knee is probably hurting because you are subconsciously (sp?) walking differently. You could be turning it ever so slightly, but over time it is enough to have it get out of whack.

My dad spilled coffee on me at the Starring Rolls Bakery in MGM (I'm sure it will show up on a shocking things thread here sooner or later!) and burned my thighs and ruined my shirt, but luckily it took me a while to find a new one, because Emma peed on me a couple hours later. So, we both got new clothes that day!

Ohmigod!! On the same day?!?!? :rotfl2: I'm sorry!!

I'm glad you a had a great time but on to the important stuff. Were they still doing the pirate show and did you get a good look at Cap't Jack?? :cloud9:

Matt had his first therapy today. She didn't do much, mainly just evaluated him. She did show him some exercises she wants him to do at home.

Nicole your itinerary sounds great. We will be keeping track of you from here.

I thought I'd check in before I leave work - I've got a vocal music parents organization meeting tonight, and don't know how much I'll be at home - not that I check in too often from there anyway...

What a rotten day! But I have to admit, it was funny to read.... :rotfl: I guess I can't think of a better place to get peed on than WDW! as long as it's your own kid, of course.
It's great to hear from you!

Ashley- I was going to say the same thing that Michele did about your ankle hurting. I imagine you're walking differently to compensate for the knee pain, and that is making your ankle hurt. Your weight may be shifted differently, or the way you set the weight down on that leg. Much pixiedust: for that knee! Were you ever able to find a brace?

Yes, they still had the pirate show but I didn't get to see much of it unfortunately. We could hear them singing the Yo Ho song from inside the Tiki Room (gawd but I hate what they have done to that!) and then after we rode Pirates, I saw a huge crowd off to the side and heard a familiar voice.... but alas, it was the end of the show. I did get a peek though, and the JD impostor looked much better than the photos I've seen. *swoon*

It cooled off in the evenings by maybe 2 degrees. Was so darn hot, and humid, and it rained every day - on our Universal day we came out of the Twister attraction and didn't notice much difference! I actually saw a shoe floating down the street. Yikes! I found the best way to cool off was to go on the water rides, but after Splash Mtn. that first day I wore my poncho on the rides. Yes I looked dorky, but I didn't care! I didn't put the hood up though. The wet hair cooled me down by about 20 degrees! One poor girl's mom made her wear a shower cap on Kali, but no poncho. (Mom had on a poncho with hood up.)

Well it's time to go home and pick up some cabinets from a neighbor's remodeling project. We hope they will fit in the new laundry room!

Maybe some time next week I will have time to sleep. Glad to see everyone had a hootin' good time while I was gone!

Oh, and I have no idea how I'll afford it, but count me in on the Feb trip!! Are kids going too? I'll have to think about that part.

MImom--your post was actually the inspiration for the little diddy above. Matt's HS homecoming?? Oh, those were the days. What is the cute picture that you posted?? Eighth grade dance?? I remember always being so nervous before HS dances. I do so many HS dance and prom girls' makeup now. I think it is funny because when I was in HS there was no way my mom would have paid someone to do my hair and makeup!!

SuperBowl--that's it--thank you--what was I thinking--World Series?? Silly me. :sad2:

Oh, btw, Briana's name is beautiful!! I meant to tell you that the other day but completely forgot until you just mentioned it. Is this a family name??

Donna---once again, thanks for breakfast!! I'll take the chocolate croissant. Are you running out of ideas for our a.m. meal?? Pretty soon you'll be pitching a Carnation instant breakfast at us saying, "if you don't like it eat what you brought along". This was my mom's favorite saying when we were growing up. :lmao: (she didn't pitch stuff at us, though) :p

You are officially dubbed the Keeper of the Itineraries. :wizard:

Jill--you sound like me--running late and just have to check in and then I am really late. Thank goodness for foods you can eat in the car. popcorn::

Yes, you're allowed a slacky day to DIS. :3dglasses

Amber--thanks for providing the hoots with a smilie. I looked all over last night and could not come up with one. I suppose I was not looking in the correct place. It will certainly come in handy!! HOOT. Ooh, I see a second one--HOOT HOOT

Your brother must be a good player in order to stay in the game the entire time. Has he always wanted to play football??

DznyFan---good to see you're back to singing!! :teeth: Is this where Erin gets her talent??

Your property sounds amazing!! It will be so nice to have a place to get away. It sounds like some wild parties on the property are on the horizon!! :dance3: :dance3:

Nicole---how are you feeling after your surgery?? Do you think it solved your problem??

Yes, you need to post your itinerary----Donna will be your voice while you are gone and let us know where you are on any given day.:smooth:
Oops, just saw that you did------it sounds awesome!!

YM---okay, either you were extremely tired or we are really boring. Should we be getting a complex?? HOOT.

Oh, and no golf cart needed--my coach will be sufficient. princess: :teeth:

Pozey--oh my, what a scary situation. I'm not sure what I would have done. Partly stand there with my mouth wide open and partly, like you said, run over and push her out of the way!! Oh, I just cannot imagine!!

Ash--umm, your on your own at the Cliqueless Convention, babe!! Who exactly were you looking for last night??

I know how it is to leave Ruby, but she will be in good hands. Enjoy your trip that you have been waiting for and nothing wrong with calling every day to check up on her. pug:

Lyzziesmom---good to have you back!! If we didn't know better we would think you were making this up!! Splashy water, coffee and pee-pee?? Nice.

Did Lyzzie have a Beverly??

Yeah, are you really in for Feb?? :dance3: I think Donna explained it---all solo except for Linda, I believe. Kenny and Mike are joining us as well. I am saving my pennies too!! (except, please tell them I am not a born camper) :rolleyes1

Where's Linda?? Hi Linda!! :wave2:

Hi April--wherever you may be!!

Le Cellier sounds great!!

I wouldn't mind doing 'Ohana if we have time----only because I've never done it. If we don't have time, no biggie.

I forgot to mention that I heard a great jazz version on the radio today of "When You Wish Upon a Star". Sax was the main and it had a little snare drum going too. I tear up and smile like Goofy when I hear that song!!

I most certainly do remember Lesa. I thought about her!!! I thought I remembered her having small children: didn't know if she would be able or care to go!!!! That would be super if she could come!!! The more the merrier!!! (and the more to drag 2x2s on Splash Mtn!) ;)

I miss the original too. It was my Gram's favorite. The first time we went after she was gone I just sat in there and cried thru the whole show. The looks people were giving me :confused3

2x2...I actually got Briana's name out of a romance novel I was reading  I should have given her 2 'n's tho. On the first day of school she is always called Brian. Maybe if it had more letters they would notice? Of course I was always Michael on the first day of school.

Blake just came in and wanted to know if I was talking to my virtual friends?!!? Too funny :rotfl2:

Angela-- :grouphug: :grouphug:
How are you feeling??

Stop by and say hi if you're feeling up to it.

I am about finished with my first SP book!! I almost cheated and read the last few pages to see how it ends!

I'll take some pix and show you guys...I love Pottery Barn...so its all pottery barn ocean stuff w/some disney stuff of coarse...yes 2x2s...the Black Pearl is here :) You can have the Capt. though ....

I don't know how you shoppers do it! I saved up for a few months and met my goal of having $500 on my Disney gift card for the trip... and I made sure I had another $500 "extra" in the bank just in case. Turns out I shopped like a maniac and still couldn't spend the whole $500 on the card! Even after a last-minute spree at the Earport, I have a little over $100 left. I think I will use the card to save up for the next trip! Can you use the gift card to pay for your package?

I definitely think a package deal with dining is the way to go. We will have to keep our eyes peeled for any specials they may run in Feb. I know last year I got the deal in the spring where I got free upgrades on the tickets. That was awesome - I still have 4 water park visits left, and thanks to malfunctioning turnstiles at Epcot on Saturday, I have one more non-expiring day of park admission left too! I have all my dining receipts in front of me, and I am about to add them up and see how much I would have spent had the dining not been free. (gulp!)
