Pozey ~ Boomer! Did you go to the game? (it was a home game, wasn't it?) you can tell I was really paying attention this weekend... nice to hear Courtney chose her new cast in a good color.... :goodvibes
DznyFan....SOONER!!

Yes, I did go to the game. Had loads of fun as usual.

Oh, and I HAVE to tell you guys of the very near disaster we witnessed. Remember, I'm long winded, so be forewared......

Anyway here's the story. We are walking back to the truck after the game. We park about a mile from the stadium, and we park in a lot that is right beside some railroad tracks. Some back-story about the railroad tracks......the tracks run right through town, about a mile east of the stadium. We have personally witnessed how extremely FAST this train travels.

Anyway, as we approach the tracks, the crossing arm goes down and the lights and sounds begin. We are close enough to see the headlight of the train about a half a mile down the tracks. We know to stop. There are these 3 young girls walking in front of us, and they say "let's get across". We tell them to HURRY! They get across fine. Then we look over and see an older (had to be in her 70's at least) lady crossing the tracks down the way. She is crossing the tracks where you have to step over the tracks and walk on the loose gravel. She is moving VERY SLOW!! We start to yell at her to hurry! She never looks toward the train. She finally gets across the tracks about 10 seconds before the train goes by. And this train is moving at least about 50 - 75 miles per hour! I mean it is fast. It crossed where we were less than 25 seconds after the arm first came down.

If she had slipped, or tripped or anything like that, it would have been horrible. I almost started running over there to grab her and push her across the tracks. It was scary!!

Wow Pozey, that is a scary story! I've seen so many cars down here that just don't care. They stop in the middle of the tracks and then get upset when a train does come! I remember a story about a year ago where a kid was killed by a train because he was climbing it or something like that. One thing my parents taught me was not to mess around with trains!

I'm glad Nathan had a good birthday...isn't it a relief when all the parties are done. :teeth:

Ashley...your itinerary sounds great. I'm seeing OUR Friday looking like yours. I for sure (valley girl ;) think we need to head to Epcot on Friday afternoon/evening. Since our trip is short if we could get illuminations in that night it would be a great "opening" to our convention. ;) I would love to try Le Cellier. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc However, when we arrive we will be setting up our tents and checking out the camp ground...do you guys want me to reserve a golf cart? :dance3: :smokin:

Have you seen this website http://www.sanrio.com/ ? They have cute things.

Mike bought me a GIANT Hello Kitty alarm clock a few years ago. When the alarm goes off it plays music and lights up. (I have a Hello Kitty collection).

Thanks for the link, Amber, my sister loves Hello Kitty. I want the Hello Kitty watch! It's too cute! But I don't think I can afford the 3250.00 version!

Hi everyone :wave2:

Well I had a rough night again last night! Who knows what I was dreaming but in the middle of last night I woke Jeremiah up and I said to him, "Where did that girl go? Where is she?" so he proceeds to get off the bed and look under it for her. ???? He said I kept going and on, where is she? why did she leave? and finally he woke up enough to tell me, "Ashley, your dreaming. Go back to sleep." and my usual answer, "Oh. Okay!!!" ?? I am very weird. Any volunteers to share a room with me at our meet? :teeth:

Ruby is doing great, for all who asked. I am starting to feel anxiety about leaving her at our vet for our trip though. We've left our cats there before, before we had Ruby and everything was fine. But I'm starting to dread leaving her. :guilty: I'm with her 24 hours a day, so I'm going to miss her alot! I know I'll be calling there everyday, asking how she is.

Nicole, Good luck on the check up! Yep, only 11 days! Can you believe it? I was looking back on our old posts, and I remember when we were excited about 80 days to go!!! :lmao:

Amber, I love Sanrio! It is one of my favorite stores. I was actually disappointed when I moved here, because they don't have Sanrio in any of the malls near me. I used to look up the different stores in FL when we lived there, and we'd drive all over to the different malls. Oh, thanks for the cute smiley!

I'm saving it for all us hooties that stay up for all hours of the night.

Pozey, that is so terrifying! I'm glad she got over ok, but what was she thinking??!!!

YM, Oh yes, please reserve the golf cart! :teeth: Sounds great!!! and we MUST try Le Cellier on our trip. It is my favorite!

Hi Lyzziesmom! How is your first day back at work going?

Hi Ashley,

I'm sorry about your night last night. I wonder who you were looking for?! :teeth: I'm doing fine. How is your knee? I was wondering about it a few days ago.

Yea!!! 11 and 16 more days!!!! :cool1: I looked up a post of mine a while back in another thread and when I posted I had over 150 days left!

My knee is doing ok, thanks for asking! When I walk around alot, (Like in that Mills mall, whichis huge) it starts to get a little sore, but nothing bad so far. My ankle also has been hurting, which is weird, I'm not sure why that is! I'm putting the heating pad on my 'to pack' list so I won't forget it though! It really helps. Hopefully we'll have nice weather for our trip! I hope its not too hot.

Lyzziesmom, Did it cool down in the evenings or was it still really hot?

Hi Girls & Guy!! got home a little early and I'm catching up on today's posts!!

Nicole::Of coarse I need your itinerary!!! How else will we know what you're up to!!!! Your trip is getting closer!!! It'll be here before you know it!!

Ashley:: I know Ruby will be fine at the Vet's, but I'm sure you will worry. We left buddy at the kennel when we went to Florida. He was fine, but I know he missed us!(And we missed him!!)

pozey::scary about that poor lady. I shudder to think what would have happened if for some reason she didn't get acrossed in time.

DznyFan::Congrats on 300 posts!!! :dance3: :cheer2: party:
Your property sounds awesome!! I'm sure your family and friends will really enjoy your time there!!!

Well, have to help Nathan with his reading. House rule is no playing until homeworkd is done!!!!

Whew, I just finished reading all the posts from the last 11 days. My eyes are tired!! I'll just add that to the list - WDW always does a number on my body. On our first full day, my cute denim capri's got soaked on Splash Mountain and I developed a lovely case of chafing that lasted until... well, I'll let you know when it goes away. Luckily the first aid stations have nice big bandaids! My dad spilled coffee on me at the Starring Rolls Bakery in MGM (I'm sure it will show up on a shocking things thread here sooner or later!) and burned my thighs and ruined my shirt, but luckily it took me a while to find a new one, because Emma peed on me a couple hours later. So, we both got new clothes that day! And then about 4 or 5 days ago my feet swelled up to roughly twice the size of my knees. Doesn't hurt, just huge and puffy.

You guys had me cracking up with all the frizzy hair comments! I can NOT take the humidity in FL - every trip reminds me why I don't live there any more. The rest of my family looks just fine, Mom even still has makeup on at the end of the day, but me? After 10 minutes outside, the bottom part of my hair is a frizzy fuzzball while the top of my hair is plastered to my head and all makeup is sweated off in a matter of minutes. I was actually able to stick my room key to my forehead while in line to get into AK!

I can't wait to go back.

:thumbsup2 Nicole!! I am writing down the page #, then when you're gone I will copy & paste!!!! :sunny: I think the restaurant I'm most interested in is Le Cellier and WCC. yummm

Is April's trip getting close? I can't rmember when she was supposed to go. Was it the 1st night of MNSSHP?

YourMajesty::Glad to see you make an appearance!!! I'm wondering what that 1200th post will consist of! :teeth: I knew you would appreciate my Maxine humor. :goodvibes My Sunday's have been "sleepy" ones for me,too! I couldn't relax much yesterday, but plan to make up for it this evening!!snore...

Lyzziesmom::How's it going? All done with the :laundy: ? We're All Ears :earsgirl: to hear about your adventures!! I just noticed you posted!!!....nevermind
