lyzziesmom's tale of chafing, burned thighs, ruined shirts, pee soaked cloths, and swollen feet

- but LOVING Disney and wanting to go back

- reminded me of my Disney "catastrophe" a couple years ago......
(uh oh.....another long pozey story)
On our 2005 trip to Disney, we arrived on a Wednesday afternoon. We went straight to the parks and stayed out pretty late. We knew we would be out late that night, so knowing we would be tired the next morning (Thursday), we packed a small suitcase full of everyone's clothes for just that day. That way, we wouldn't have to dig through the other suitcases for clothes.
Anyway, we come back to the room Thursday afternoon to get cleaned up for dinner. Everyone cleans up and DW asks me to get out some clothes for Courtney. So, one by one, I go through the suitcases........no clothes for Courts.......
I tell DW, we don't have any clothes for Courtney. WHAT??!!
Turns out we completely forgot 1 suitcase at home. And that suitcase had every piece of clothing DW packed for Courtney. We then realize we left the suitcase on her upstairs bed.
Now, there are only 2 other people have keys to our house.....DW's sister, who lives about 5 miles away.......and the in-laws, who live 2 hours away. And as fate would have it.......DW's sister was out of town.
So we call up the in-laws. Could you guys go to our house, get Courtney's clothes out of the suitcase, pack them in a box, and ship them to us. (yes, I realize that we could have went and bought Courtney new clothes.....but in DW's enraged state......she wasn't thinking clearly.....

)
So, on Friday (the days play a key role here), the in-laws go to our house, pack the suitcase (yes, the entire suitcase) in a box and ship it UPS OVERNIGHT to the Polynesian where we are staying. Now, this is where the day becomes important. Seeing they shipped it on Friday, they had to pay for NEXT DAY DELIVERY ON A SATURDAY!!! Yikes!!
Okay......we find Courtney some clothes to wear until her suitcase arrives. DW is happy again.

And we go on to have one of the best vacations ever.
We did have to reimburse the in-laws for the shipping cost.........$200!!!!
Oh well......live and learn....
