I really enjoy my job. I recruit and train foster and adoptive families and do a few home studies as needed. I work out of three counties so I get to interact with lots of different workers and supervisors and meet a new group of prospective foster parents to train every 9 wks. Recruiting involves making presentations about the need for foster and adoptive parents at various groups, like church groups, civic groups, PTA's, etc. The only down side is that it does involve nights and weekends because you have to train when people aren't at work. I used to do case management for the kids in foster care and I wouldn't trade back for double my salary. This job is fun and so not stressful.
