Her appt is Tuesday - the bloodwork will tell us either way for sure.

Have you tried to work with fondant yet?

You could do wonders with that stuff once you learn how to work it.

My MIL made my wedding cake. The fondant actually helps seal in the cake's freshness. seriously. We ate our cake top a year later and it honestly tasted really really good!

I've never worked with fondant (yet). It always seemed like it wouldn't taste good as old-fashioned butter cream frosting (my personal fav). I'll probably take a class or two. Cakes and cupcakes are my current focus.

My DDIL is a pastry chef and she & her friend made her cake. Not only was the cake amazing, but instead of frosting, it was covered in FUDGE! It had sugared whole fruits as it's decoration. The best cake I've ever had - bar none!

Gotta go to bed, the screen is starting to blur & 5:30 comes around early!

I have not been doing so well in the weightloss area myself...I had a BBQ, for my DGF on Friday night, and then another one for another couple of friends on Sat....and then we went out with the girls yesterday to Ihop..Minus Julia, and Victoris....Julia had to work..(shes liking her job, but shes not to happy about having to work on Sundays),and no Victoria, as she got sick part way through the day so we took her home...as of last night though, when we dropped off the others ...she is fine. She says)
and then tonight we go out to Red Lobster, with my DB&SIL...
Im never gonna lose weight this way!

No plan during the day today....Im going to clean house and do laundry......FUN.....FUN AND in between, Ill work on the captions for the part 2 pictures....

It looks like its going to be nice though.....

Im off for more coffee....

It was one of the best trips ever ...dispite the crowds, and rains...
The company was what made it so great...The girls were at their best for the whole 2 weeks, and that just makes the trip...When I was down, because of plans being in danger, they all rallied and made me laugh....and it all turned out great!...

Thanks for checking it all out...It was alot of fun to do!

Morning everyone....need to catch up...spent the wkend at San Luis Obispo touring the Cal Poly State campus....still have UC Davis, & 3 or 4 of the colleges in San Diego to look at - possibly UC Santa Barbara...not yet sure...looking at all that have good engineering programs....

Today was my first day back at work too! Ugh! Then our server went down for most of the day, so playing catch up was not fun!
