We will probably be driving through Jacksonville on our way home after our cruise in January.

I somehow don't think that I would be a popper fan though Sounds like something Liz would enjoy

Well, DH has finished lurking! Every once in a while, he'll sit with me and read all the posts and catch up with the Threadkillers. He did that and today he sat while I read some of the community board....

However, in 45 minutes, the football game comes on - that trumps the DISBoards anyday! I'll probably sign off fairly soon - cuz the Steelers are playing and they are my team!

Hi everyone. Back at my apt now. Colleen said to tell everyone hi and promises pictures of the mini-meet including a new Belly Dancer pic and me with a troll blowing his nose on my head.

I'll be back in a bit with a Mom update but first I'm going to go catch up.

Okay... Mom update:
I talked to mom just a bit ago on the phone. She sounded a little groggy from the pain meds, but okay overall. Here's what we know as of this evening:

1) She will need surgery on both the left hand and the right wrist. They will be fixed in the same surgery session, but the timing will be dependent on the situation with her back.
2) She was fitted for a back brace today. Tomorrow they will take a CT scan of her back to make sure that the brace holds her the way they want. If it does, then she will not need surgery on her back. If she does need back surgery then she will have the back surgery and the hand surgeries at the same time.
3) If she doesn't need back surgery, she will be in the back brace for 3 months. If she does need surgery, she will be in the hospital for several weeks and the recovery timeline is uncertain.

So, that's the story for now. Thank you so much for your concern and prayers. I really appreciate it so much. Mom's been through a lot this year and I just hope we can keep her spirits up. She seems to be in good spirits so far, but I can hear a note of gloom in her voice. Then she said, "I'm not sure why this has happened too, but there has to be a reason right?" And it didn't really sound rhetorical. So now I'm trying to think of spirit-boosting ideas. Feel free to pass on any good ideas you might have.

I think the LIMIT should be re-worded to Minimum. I'm an exchange-aholic, and adding extras is just what I do.

Ophie wanted me to let you all know that we got word last night that her Mom was in an accident yesterday evening.

Thanks for letting us know TZM, and and for ophie's Mom! Sure hope nothing is serious!

I'm confused. What if we all pick the same number, assuming it's not our own, and you get left with, let's just say, all 7 remaining? And the one number gets gifts from all of us? I like Robin's idea tho, to just pick from a 'hat'. All our names matched with someone elses. (I'm sure when I read ahead that this will already be solved.)

Spend $15-$20. dollars on your person. Stay within the limits please.

Again, just MY opinion, I prefer minimum, rather than limit.

My mom is going to contact her at some point and then return the note back out to the gravestone and see if someone else comes along and finds it.
