I just got done watching The Bachelor.

He's so cute!

Colleen, It's time for me to catch up on reading too! I have so many books to choose from (not my medical books either) including the ones you sent me!

I actually started reading an old book that I bought by Nicholas Sparks...It's boring!!!! I don't think I will be finishing it. I just can't get through the first chapter.

I need to start one of the Koontz books.

Dante finished the books you sent. I've been meaning to donate them to the school.

Hi Threadkillers!

I've been SO busy that I haven't had time to say hello...I'm sorry! Today I set up the guest room for guests on Wednesday, wrapped all my Christmas presents (still have a few to buy) and worked on my Christmas card list. I also did about 6 loads of laundry, bought turkeys and made a batch of dinner rolls for Thanksgiving. They are almost cool enough to go in the freezer. Plus I got things picked up and put away for tomorrow's carpet cleaning.

Tomorrow I'm having the carpets cleaned, we're meeting a friend that we knew when we lived in Sicily, I'm going to visit a friend who is in the hospital and make another batch of dinner rolls.

Wednesday is my day to take Dad to his radiation treatments and we have an overnight guest (then another one 5 days later) - plus one more batch of dinner rolls!

Thursday I'll finish the Christmas cards and then I think I'll sleep!

Anyway, I'm sorry I haven't been in touch regularly....I do think of you every day. There is no way I'll be able to catch up...any news I need to know?

PD...really liked your NYC pix....too bad it's SOOOO cold there in the winter...would love to go there once for the holidays...the decorations...etc...

I remember taking my mom to see a show and all the Christmas finery the week before Christmas several years ago and it was 72 degrees. Of course it could have just as easily been 15 degres that day. It was so great. ALl the street musicians were out. The city was packed, but it was a very festive day!

My neighbour has placed his garbage right in front of my car door again this morning

I'm thinking maybe I will move it a few feet further into the middle on the road when I go and move it

it would be absolutely awesome to see all of that...maybe someday i'll get brave enough to endure ('truly') cold weather again....it's been in the 60's here at night & i have to have the heater on....i know...i'm a big wuss now!!! it's not like i haven't been in cold weather before...& it's cold when we go skiing.....so it could be done! maybe my next trip there....when do they typically have most of the holiday decs. out?

OMG Robin...that is all SOOOO hilarious!!! i'm kind of surprized the 'sanitation collectors' don't say something to him about putting the cans in a better spot!

Ann....you are SOOOO my hero...i have one gift purchased...& only because i got it at DL for my nephew!!! I do however usually get all my cards & xmas letter done over the TG holiday.......but i do a lot my shopping online....HATE overcrowed malls/stores.....UGGGHHH

I have to go to the docs. today too....For my mom...Its her check up time....Well her check up time was a couple of months ago...but I always expect them to call..with her appt...reminder...and the DIDNT call...So I made one....We have taken her off some drugs she was taking...(It was making her crazy...she couldnt sit still for a min.) and I want to be sure its OK with her doc.(who by the way is my DGFs DH...Which makes it all a little easier)

I LOVE NCY at Christmas time.... ...It gets me soooo in the mood!

Mike and I are now thinking of going to Hawaii in 09.....IF He can get himself to go on a plane....He says he's concidering it...
We will see....It has always been my dream vaca....

It really is quite warm out today....low 50s...it suppose to get to mid 50s tomorrow....Not Ca. temps....BUT GREAT for around here this time of year!
Came home to a huge buck in our front yard last night...Had to be an eight pointer at least.....

Well better go get my mom ready to go.....

I went out and put my own garbage out about half an hour ago. Puttered around the garage a bit, filled bird feeders etc.

Then I took some pictures of MY car and moved the guy's garbage can about 2 feet further out into the middle of the street.

He actually had the garbage can lid touching the car today.

I HAD to move ALL of the cans and recycling bins because I really, really needed to get into the back seat of my car before I got in and drove around the block and came back and parked it in my driveway

He went out at some point and moved his stuff back to the curb

If he wants to have to move all his trash twice every garbage day, I guess that is his choice.

Colleen, I'm trying very hard not to do anything that could be at all considered as illegal. So since I NEEDED access to my car, I really had to move his junk. Simple as that.
