Holy Guacamole.......are my eyes decieving me? I do believe it's BrerPapa! Welcome back BP! We missed you and everyone behaved themselves while you were gone! Didja have a nice Thanksgiving and Birthday? I'm sorry to say, there were no leftovers.

TW, enjoy your trip! We expect a full detailed report when you return!

DalPal - you ARE a great grandma! I love the pics. So glad you posted them! I've never been a lobster fan, which is good, since I'm allergic to shellfish.....so it was just steak! However, it was yummy!

PrincessaC! You lived in the Phlippines?! Me, too! I was there from late 74 to 77! When were you there? Did you stay in Subic, Cubi? We spent a year in San Miguel (yes, where the world famous beer is made!) and then moved to Subic for 2 years. My dad was stationed in Cubi. Or did you live in Clark? Gotta give up the details, girlfriend!

Cruisin, Hope all is well tonight. Did you finish your tree? Where are the pics? I liked it so far. We were going to take our Christmas stuff down this afternoon, but napped instead. Maybe tomorrow!

Kim, was that you!? You were fast. Hope everyone is staying well at your place.

Is anyone else going to post Christmas tree pictures?

Hey TW have a great trip. Think about us while you are there.

We are very glad that you found us too. We enjoy having you around :D We will want details when you return.

Well, hello there Brer_Papa! Nice to have you back with us again. I do believe all of those oooooooooooooooooooo;s were meant to be shared between you AND Kim :earboy2: I do believe that we have all been quite well mannered during your absence ::yes::. Although some of us (who shall remain nameless) had some problems with our MOODS!! Now that you are back, of course, who knows??????????????? :teeth:

Ann, sounds like you had a nice dinner. I was busy on the run all day today. Here, there and everywhere with no time to spare in between. I had half a sandwich from Tim Hortons (a Canadian staple to many coffee drinkers, not me I don't drink coffee :crazy2: )

My tree has not been touched at all since yesterday, unless you count Mischief chewing on the branches this morning  . I will have to get back at that tomorrow and get the job done.

LOL, when I lived in the Philippines I was very young. But I believe it was in the 80's. We lived on Clark for 4yrs but I've been to Subic and San Miguel. I had a Aunt who lived in Subic (olongapo?) and her daughter lived in San Miguel. I loved the Philippines. My mother is Filipina. The last time I visited the Philippines was in 1995 (back when it was safe). My mother is from Cebu and that is where we went. They have the most beautiful beaches there. Crystal blue waters and white sand. :flower1:

:bitelip: :bored:

HI everyone! :teleport: just passing thru...again...

Hope it's not a late night again :badpc: = bad stock market. I need the sleep!

I've sort of decided to go back to working at a bank, so tomorrow I'm going to put in some resume', I've decided my Disney addiction needs better funding (other than DH's salary). Upkeep on MY castle is costing lots of money!

HEY!!! I haven't done the math, but let's just say BP gets about 2/3, and myself 1/3, ok?

Good for you Wendy! Best wishes for finding what YOU want! ;) What field of banking are you interested in? I started out in banking many moons ago, and worked in several different depts. before ending up in real estate law. It ALL was related though, and very helpful in the years to come. ::yes::

Before is was married...(a loooooooonnng time ago), I worked at different banks (branch level), teller, loans clerk, accounting, different stuff. I was really bored working there, so I left banking and went into sales & marketing. The reason I've decide to go back to banking (besides the money thing), is there is nothing to follow you home, no paper work, no sales calls, no planning. With all the other stuff I do in my life, I need a job (note: I did not say career) that when it's over at the end of the day, I just pack up & go home.

;) I HEAR ya! That's part of the reason I work part-time! Just enough to work my butt off during those hours, leave, and work my butt off at home!

What's the saying: No one ever said on their death bed that they wished they spent more time at the OFFICE? Something like that, you get the idea. ;) Of course for me, taking 6 years off helped with that thinking, too. ::yes:: A FULL part-time week for me would be 26-1/4 hours, and I look forward to taking time OFF from that! :earseek: But, when DD was sick so long recently, turning in a 2-week time sheet with 18 hours TOTAL did NOT make me feel good. I still have a sense of responsibility to my job that I'll never be able to hide. :sad2:

:flower1: Morning everyone :flower1:

Today we are going to get our Christmas tree. I can't wait to get it all decorated. I'll be sure to post some pics as soon as we get done with it. :flower: Have a great day!!!

I CANT BELIEVE THIS,,,,,I HATE THESE NEW BOARDS!
I just spent an hr. typing a post and had already signed in and when I pushed "submit reply" It said I had to sign in and then I lost the whole post...
GRRRRFRRRRRRRRRR

:flower1: GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY :flower:
 :D
:flower1: Isnt it a wonderful day? :bitelip: :flower: Magical :wizard: day!
Betsy

Ill be back in a little while......I have to take my prozak(sp)now....it takes a few mins. to kick in....

:flower: It is quite a nice day here today. Cold but the sun is shining so that makes all of the difference.

I used to work in a bank too, for 7 years or so, quit when I had Alex. I worked in lots of different departments too. It was okay until they started wanting us to do "presentations" and do the research on our own time :earseek: I basically said %$#&^ that, I'm not doing that on my own time without extra pay. I was glad that I could quit and stay home with my kids at that point.

I'm of to see if there is anything exciting happening on the rest of the boards :moped:

Hi everyone!

Well, DH and I went to b'fast.........yep! We LIKE going out to b'fast! Did ya'll know that!? Anyway, I went to Wal-Mart and picked up a few things....got the stuff down from the attic for Christmas and it's sitting in the garage.

Right now, we're going through all our insurance stuff to make sure our coverage is up-to-date. We try to do that every year at this time, but it's usually every other year. We wanted to make sure that all our hurricane insurance is covered..........for next year!

DalPal - sorry you lost your post....I hate when that happens!
Cruisin - Gotta get started with that tree!
Kim & Wendy - I'm with ya'll (& Cruisin!) on the job front. Also, my background is banking! I was the asst. manager of our call center. It was tons of fun. That's what I missed most - leaving California! I worked for one of those rare places that valued employees and their ideas.
BP - behaving yourself?
PrincessaC - you ARE young! In the 80's as a young'un? I really enjoyed the P.I.! We were there when Marcos was very well thought of and it was a peaceful, fun time. Let us know how the househunt goes.
TW - you won't read this for a while.....enjoy your trip!

Gotta scoot!

 Ann, I have some time now so I think I might go to work on that tree for a bit.

Have fun going through that insurance stuff!!

I looked at that.....trying to decipher it....I looked sideways.....upways...downways....every-which-a-ways...

I even held it in front of a mirror.....

After much consternation and head scratching.....I think %$#&^ is Canadian for "FORGET"

but...I could be wrong.....

and then....I looked at DalPal's oversized "GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR"

I think that one is the Queen's English for

"I am hopping mad and not in my Playboy Bunny Costume"....

BUT....I could be wrong....

(DalPal...I agree about the new Boards... )

and then....I looked at HollyAnn's "BP- Behaving yourself?"

This one was a HUGE puzzler....since I am as innocent as a new born babe.......

BUT.....loving a good mystery...I think I solved the riddle...

HollyAnn is offering me leftovers from Breakfast....

and then....there's Kim's 1/3 & 2/3 split on the ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo's.......

what a kind soul! but....50/50 is only fair....so....let's split 'em

o - Kim o - BP o - Kim o - BP o - Kim
o -BP o - Kim o - BP o - Kim o - BP
o - Kim o - BP o - Kim o - BP o - Kim
o - BP

and one odd o....

hmmmm...

( - Kim

) - BP

Yes, Brer_Papa, you have translated that word perfectly :earboy2:

Oookay....

I had a heck of a time signing on this evening! We'll see if the post works. It'll be nice when they work the kinks out of the DISBoards.

Cruisin - did you finish your Christmas tree? I have all the Christmas decorations up except for the tree. We didn't put any up for the outside. I'll work on the tree tomorrow.

BrerPapa - I came up with an ENTIRELY different word than "forget". However, we did come up with the same first letter. It must be your "innocent as a babe" act.........shining through!

I just got done watching a bunch of ice-skating. It was lovely. We've got to wake up early tomorrow and walk since we skipped it today in lieu of b'fast! Also we serve at mass tomorrow, which means I have to wear a dress.

Well, I missed my nap. Just getting ready to take one and the folks dropped by for a visit. It was nice to see them again. Dad went to the doctor and got a good progress report on his back. He's impatient and thinks he should be fully healed, but the doc said these things take time!

Ya'll take care.....I'm sleepy!
