 It has been very, very quiet around here today.

I am glad you had a good day.

Not much happening around this house. Daughter is out, Husband is out, Son is in his room and I am here in my dungeon:teeth:

Should get off of this chair and move around a bit. Need some exercise :D

Ahoy Cruisin' ! :boat:

I've tried posting at different times this evening....

wouldn't let me....

I thought it was happening to everybody...

I did have trouble getting on the boards at one point tonight but I haven't really had any trouble posting when I wanted to.

Sometimes it did go a little slowly though ::yes::

Howdy everyone!

Showboat was wonderful! We had a great time. We live about an hour away so between getting ready, getting there, the dinner, show & driving back - it took a good portion of the day. However, it was totally worth it.

Talked to my sister. It looks like the sisters, spouses, DH & me and our parents are all going to have dinner together on Saturday. Should be tons of fun. The sister that's coming down is going to spend Saturday in Daytona at Biketoberfest with her DH. She's an RN, a georgous 6' tall blue eyed sweetie-pie.........and a biker! My other one is a 6' tall freckle faced red headed (wild girl) librarian. Can you imagine? I'm considered the "dull" one. My nickname is "martha stewart" BEFORE she went to jail!

Anyway, it's late, we've got a busy day ahead of us so we're going to bed!

Take care everyone!

Sounds like you had a nice day over all Ann.

I am glad that you had fun.

I did laundry all day and am still putting stuff in the dryer.

Have a good sleep and enjoy your busy day tomorrow.

Ahoy Cruisin' ! :boat:

Your going to have the good people here thinking I look like Pappy Yochim from Lil Abner... in bibs, a straw hat and a corn cob pipe...

OOOPS! I might be the only one to remember that comic strip....

How was your day O-My-Pal?

To Kim: Hope all is as well as can be....
you and yours are in my thoughts....

PSSST! Hey Lurkers!

Need your opinion...what about TK-Umbrellas to be used for portable anti-chicken-doo-doo prevention?

PM me your thoughts....

Hi everyone :wave2:

Kim I'm so sorry to hear about your lose:sad1: , I'm also sorry I wasn't around on the boards for more support. My prayers & thoughts for your family.

Oh, for everyone asking about the night that I stayed up until 5:30 am was cuz I was trading stocks in the Asian markets and of course I stayed up until Europe openned and then I had to stay up to see the North American markets open :faint:

so that night and morning I got about 3 hrs sleep.

I like trading but sometimes it makes me a little :hyper:

But what's now keeping me up, is my count down timer! I can't wait! <bgsound src="http://tinpan.fortunecity.com/saints/113/bornwild.mid">:moped: :rockband: :thewave: Just Born to Be Wild I guess!

My day has been filled to the brim with dirty laundry that is now for the most part clean ;) , dry, folded and put away except for the last few loads of towels ::yes::

Spent some time reading, (the internet and also that old fashioned invention - a book!!)

Loaded and ran the dishwasher ........ told everyone if they wanted to eat to find it themselves because I was not cooking today. :D

I could go on and on, but it is all the same brand of excitement as the above stuff :p

It was very cold and very windy outside today, so I stayed inside!!!!

 Well, you seem to attend an awful lot of small town country-style fairs, BP, so I guess I could picture you in bib overalls, a straw hat and a corn cob pipe:teeth:

:wave2: Wendy

Your count down is getting very short now.

I wish I were going back again. We didn't get to do half of the stuff I wanted to when we were there. The hurricane put a damper on some of it. My husband says he is all Disney'd out :earseek:  :( So I don't know when I will get back there again.

Of course we do have our cruise to look forwad to.

How long will you be gone Wendy??? Any special plans for while you are there??? Did I see something about pin trading on the CDN board???? Who are you going with??? Lots of questions, huh :p

I hope you have a great time and wonderful weather while you are there.

Hi Robin,

This time I'm taking my best friend & her Fiance(sp??? no clue), both have never been to WDW ( well her DF has never travel anywhere before!!), my DD & dh are coming this time. He really didn't have a good time in 2002 at WDW 'cuz he REALLY needed a RELAXING vacation and I haven't figured out how not to be a commando at WDW yet. So this time we are stay off-site:( , at the Sheraton Vistana, and I've agreed NOT to drag him into WDW more than 1 day:earseek:, I've told everyone, "I'm going everyday, if you can keep up with me than you can come or if not you can stay at the hotel." So he/they can have a relaxing vacation and I can enjoy my favorite place.

The only thing that's really planned is that me & DD are going to get Annual passes and I can go again within the year.

The thing about the Pin trading, Lauren stated collecting pins in 2002 and Scratch42 and a few others found some really cheap pins in 2003 at the Disney store and then at a local dollars store in Ajax, this last spring, they had this one Pooh friendship pins, so we bought them all up from this one store....I got some for Hockeymom (she lives in Ptbo too) and she and tmli (Tracey) were the first ones to trade a large amount of that pin. we were not sure if they would be "offical" because they were made in Canada for the Winnipeg Friendship day thingy that was cancelled......anyways....with the amount of pins we all bought most of us save about $400US for the pins we are trading for.:teeth:

Hi Again Wendy

Now I can't sleep for some reason:(

That sounds like a good plan. You get to see and do what you want at WDW and the others can do whatever makes them happy!!

I own one of those Pooh - Friendship Day pins :D . Scratch42 sent it to me in an exchange package :teeth: .

I like him, he is very cute. I actually have him on my Disney Cruise Line Lanyard with my Castaway Club Pin, hanging right here where I can see them!! They are the only 2 pins that I have!

Have a great trip and make sure to let us know when you get back how it went!

Good morning TK'ers!! Happy to say the sun is out and shining brightly on this cheery Monday morning!

BP...I kicked some major butt this weekend and I'm not even finished yet!! Better still...I didn't have to break out the Victoria's Secret lingerie so no excuses from DH!! I loved watching the games this weekend. You're right, so many close games! I chose the Buff defense and they payed off in a BIG way! I feel sorry for Miami but what can ya' do? I hear Ricky is talking with football officials about coming back. I used to like him but I'm afraid he needs to go back to the mothership! :space: It's a shame because he was such an amazing player. I liked him since he played in New Orleans. Miami could stand to have him back about now! I was really hoping Seattle would win this weekend.
:( I really like how the Steelers are looking. Rothlesburger(?) really showed poise in the pocket but he's got some tough games ahead. I think we may have seen the last of Maddox. I could go on but I'm probably boring 90% of the TK'ers. Back to my victory dance!! (in my VS and crown  )

Stay warm and have a great day!!! :sunny:

Hi everyone - rushing around - I have 2 seconds to say hello. Just returned from my first of four grocery trips. Got empty cupboards and a small party on Wednesday! Tom had his eye appt. - dialated his eyes, so I had to go. Then tonight, I'm making homemade soup (I swear, do I really NEED to do that?! - Nah - just in the mood for homemade soup). Anyway, the stock is cooked just have to assemble the yummy parts!

Just finished ordering a small party tray and am heading out. When supper is done, I have to start on the cleaning. Tomorrow, I'll finish the cleaning and do some decorating. It's a Bunco party, so we tend to decorate for the season!

Ya'll take care and I'll chat later!

How's that for fast..............only took 2 seconds!

BTW - luckymommy - I LOVE the Steelers - they've been my favorite team since Terry Bradshaw! I like the way they're looking, too!

Hello all,
I have just gotten time to get on my PC.... Baby sitting my four DGSs. There mother had a dentist appt. I figure I got the better end of the deal. I am not fond of the dentist.
Brer_Papa ,
The train ride was fun...... but it was not well planned by the historical soc. that put it on. There was alot of hurry up and wait. They were suppose to leave at 8 am. 500-600 people crammed into a small depot... waiting for all the speeches to be over, we didnt get on the train until 9 am and then didnt end up leaving the station until 10 am. There was a really nice surprise at courtland NY. they had a very nice free chicken bar-b-Q all set up for the people on the train when it pulled into the station. It was very good and beat the old hotdogs I was going to buy for my DGSs, DH and myself. It made us leave that station late so we were really behind now... along the trip we saw amazing colors and beautiful rivers. At one time we saw a deer swimming across the river between Cortland and Marithon NY.
The boys just ate it all up(there first train ride). They felt like they were stars, because at every crossroad there would be a bunch of people that had come to see the steamtrain go by. All waving and they thought they were waving just at them. So they are waving and callin"HI...HI" They had a blast.
They over booked the dinning car so there was a big problem there and We had along wait to eat dinner, I didnt care myself , but the boys got a little hungry. The food was really good though.
To put this all in perspective..... I can drive from Binghamton to Syrcuse in 1 1/2 hrs. We left the Bing. station at 10 am and we were suppose to make two stops on the way to Syracuse, turn around and get back (to Bing.)at 6 pm that evening. We were eating in the dinning car at 630PM and didnt get back to Bing. until 9PM. So as I said it was a very long day. But for being only four and five the boys were real troupers.
All in all a day to remember.:sunny:
Yesterday I spent the day with my DGDs from my other son. They helped me decorate for halloween. I am now offically ready. according to them.:teeth:
Now I must go and buy some wood shavings, so my horses can poop all through it and I can clean it all up day after tomarrow and start again.
Have a great day everyone....
Kim my thought are still with you and I hope you are getting through this time alright.:wave2:
Hollyann,
I am the youngest of five ..I have two older sisters and I think(HOPE) I am the dull one..... I just CANT be crazier then them...... If I was I would surly be in a nuthouse..................Wait...............Maybe that is what this place is :earseek: .......................................HELP...........HELP..........I think IM in the nut house!
DISNEY.....Take me away!!!!!!!

HollyAnn, I haven't been as loyal as I should throughout the past several years. I went through a time where I was very frustrated. Cordell was on again, off again, and they were taking these no-name people in and turning them into great players then they would all be gone the following year. UGH! I'm glad to see the Bus has stayed even though they're just using him at the goal line! Plaxico and Hines have been around for a few years now so that's good. I LOVE Bill Cowher and think he's done a great job. Glad to see at least one coach stick it out with a team for more than a year or two!
My brother is a really big fan and has gone to the games a few times. Every week he breaks out his Steeler's jersey or sweatshirt along with his terrible towel. Why is it that all the teams had to copy the Steeler's? There is only ONE terrible towel in my book!
:D

SnowAngel, we keep bumping into each other on the CB. You realize what the chances are that we kill at least one of the threads?!?! ;)

Have a good evening and good luck dog "hunting."

HI everyone! Soup was fabulous! It was homemade chicken, broccoli & asparagus soup. All blended up so it was nice & thick with the asparagus tips added later.

Dog is trimmed - getting ready to give her a bath. 2 Loads of laundry are done. Dishes are done and all the floors have been swept and mopped! I've got to dust & vacuum, but tomorrow is another day!

Howdy Cruisin! Sounds like you've had a productive day! Wendy, that's a real good excuse to be up. I know nothing about the stock market but I LOVE the lingo! DalPal - here's my theory on you.....I have lots of theories (ask Cruisin)........do you have a farm? It sounds charming, like what you'd read in a magazine. Luckymommy - you ARE a goddess! BrerPapa.......have a good day?

Hey there Kim - thinking of you and sending love.

Gotta get that doggy washed!
