Hi Threadkillers!

Lets see............where to start.............where to start..............

Oh, I know!

Cruisin! Many congratulations to Alex. It's quite an achievement. Plus, it's sooo cool to have a nurse in the family. My sister's an RN and we call her every time we have questions. Plus, she always carrie's a monster first aid kit. Never worry when I'm with her! As to what you should be called - whatever works for you! Since she asked, she might have an idea of what she'd like to call you......

P.S. Nope, we didn't nap - we had too much walking to do! Plus it was too hot during the day. We hope to camp in the area in November and head back in January - maybe then. Ya'll are too funny!

Nebsky - welcome! Hope to hear more from you! The TK's are fun, fun, fun!

Luckymommy - if you're a goddess, I think you should be able to use the title anytime!

DalPal - hope the critters continue to do well. I saw on the news that in Wisconsin the fall colors were nature's fireworks! I envy you the trip - can we have a full report when you get back. If you're looking for a "sitter" to manage this group while you're gone - my vote is for Cruisin. She's soooo good at keeping BP in line!

Speaking of - howdy BP. I didn't see Discovery Island, but I have a book called "Walt Disney World, The First Decade". I looked it up there. It looked so beautiful. They also had FW - it's gone through some changes, but not too many. We did hit both trading posts, but aside from shopping, I might have missed the other activities. We did look around, tho! They had a pic of a white peacock from DI, but I missed it at FW. This book of mine - I bought it right after Tom and I got married - we went to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Epcot wasn't but about 6 months old! We'll be interested to see the changes when we return in January!

Hi Kim - hope you're doing okay. I know you'll be busy for a few days but we're thinking of you! Hugs all around!

Hey Wendy, Mammajoan & the others - come out and play!

Well, DH and I bought some more camping gear - we got the bug! We're doing some volunteer work tomorrow and on Sunday, we're going to a dinner theatre. We're going to see "SHOWBOAT". Looking forward to that - love Rogers & Hammerstein!

Take care!

:D Hi Hollyann

Yes my son always carries around his stethoscope and his huge first aid kit in his car when he travels anywhere. He likes to be prepared for any emergencies I guess ;)

Me, keep BP in line   . I am not sure that it can be done :p . I am not sure that we WANT it to be done either:teeth: . It is just much more fun when we let him loose to do his "thing"::yes::

Oh, hello there, BP, it's a good thing you are so gosh darn cute!!!! You can get away with so much more that way :duck: :earboy2:

Hey! Guess what! I went to the Dollar Store today!

Man...they got some amazing prices...so i bought some stuff...come home all proud...and start showing PA...the professional shopper...what I bought...

all was going well...until I showed her the comb I bought...FOR A NICKEL!! 5 cents!

her eyes were rolling like pinwheels....

First comb I've owned in over 30 years...
after I left the store...i put it in my back pocket...

that felt like the old days....felt good...

don't know what I'm gonna do with it....but...it was only a nickel...

she keeps shaking her head from side to side when I whip it out of my pocket...

PSSST!...Hey Lurkers!

anybdy got any Vitalis...or a little dab of brylcreem?

Hey Brer_Papa, I am glad that you found some bargains at the dollar store.

I have been dollar store bargain shopping too the last week or so. My favourite dollar store is closing down and wow there were some real bargains to be had. I bought tons of stuff (well not really tons) but $20.00 goes a long ways when you are only paying 25 or 50 cents for stuff.

I got lots of packages of glow sticks. My daughter likes to take them on the Disney Cruise and share them with her new friends when they are hanging out late at night. When you are getting them for 25 cents a package (3 in a package) well, it is easy to share them ::yes::

We use them, too at our annual street party and fireworks display so we can tell where all of the kids are in the dark ;)

Also a while back someone had asked for Christmas ornaments for babies in the NICU for a small momento of their first Christmas. Well I got a bunch of cute little Christmas teddy bears for 25 cents each too. Now I have to box them up and send them off :D

Oh yes Brer_Papa, I am still thinking about the correct response to your little poll ....... I am not sure which one to pick but I have been shopping a lot lately at the dollar store ....... ;) :p

BP, did you do a Fonzie with your new comb :p , go to comb your hair and decide that you were handsome enough already and put it away :teeth: :smooth:

I bet PA would be impressed with your impression ::yes::

Aaaaw....too bad it's closing....we got a lot of them...or similar...

Dollar stores...Dollar Generals...
Dollar Tree...a D&K Dollar store...All for a Dollar....Family Dollar....

we got glow sticks too....us kids like to play with them...PLUS...we have some battery operated glow sticks...we keep them in the RV.....each Grandkid has one of their own...and each one is a different color....

Your generosity for the kids in NICU is awesome....Kudos to you my kind hearted friend....

I noticed the "favourite" BTW......I own a comb....

We have lots of dollar stores too but I liked this one the best for some reason. Maybe because it was right next door to the pet store and I had an excuse to go in and talk to the kittens and the puppies and the noisy white bird named Coco, who always says Hello ....... , Coco ........ , I love you ......... , wanna cracker ...... , bye and lots of other things.

This store was called Buck or Two. We have Dollarama, Top Dollar, The Bargain Shop etc..... Isn't it amazing what you can buy for one dollar!!!!

hmmmm, BP in leather, :smooth: ~~~ this little guy always looks to me like he should have a leather jacket on :teeth:

I am having just the slightest bit of trouble catching on to your subliminal message  . Wait !!!!! Let me go and look for my pliers ;)

Hi everyone! BP, I think you're safe in the compliment department! You're quite the charmer. Besides...........you can always tell Cruisin that the check is in the mail!

DH and I had a GREAT night! Our niece is in the drum line of her local high school band. Their football team is undefeated. We saw them play. They are quite a band. They are going to state competitions next week. So much fun.......brings ya back!

Anyway, we're volunteering tomorrow and have a full day scheduled (mostly cleaning & putting camping gear away). We're also considering going to a formal dinner/dance - but haven't decided. I've lost so much weight, I don't know if any of my formals even fit any more!

Well, ya'll take care and we'll chat with you later!

Have a good night Ann.

Enjoy your formal dinner/dance if you go. I am not really into that type of stuff. I don't like to dress up if I can get away with not doing it.

Maybe you just need to get a new formal dress since your old ones don't fit anymore ::yes::

Nah...........I'm with you! When DH and I retired we decided that was it for us! Given the chance, I prefer not to wear shoes even! I only wear them exercising - going to WDW & now - camping! At home, weather permitting, they're always in a basket by the door!

And I prefer to keep shoes on at all times :p

My feet seem to prefer to have shoes on anyways!! I think I walk differently when I have no shoes on and it is hard on my feet. So I keep my shoes on most of the time.

Hi Kim, just in case you check the boards sometime today I just wanted to say Hi:wave2: .

I hope you are weathering all of your challenges okay.::yes::

Kim.....hoping all is well....I know what a difficult time this is....

We'll be here....wishing you the best....until you get everything needed done...

hang in there.....

Well...it's a cold,windy rainy day here....

Some Grandkids are over yonder ....they are making a Halloween prop with the gigantic poster board...

they cut an oval out....taped 2 together...and are coloring the rest so it looks like a ghoul...

when done....they'll be able to put their face through the oval cutout....

so...I was sitting here looking at my comb....when, suddenly, it dawned on me....

tent "DO NOT DISTURB" signs and anti-chicken-doo-doo covers might be a lucrative business.....

I'm willing to do the upfront work and production....

BUT...we'll need to advertise....

soo-ooo-oooooo....who is willing to be the model in the advertisements?

we'll need to show the "before & after" tent experience of sleeping under a chicken, duck or peacock ....and the benefits of the anti-chicken-doo-doo cover..

soooo-oooooo-oooooo let the sign ups begin....

keep the line orderly....no cuts...no pushing....no shoving....

plus...I have to say this officially...

just because you know me...doesn't mean you make it to the auditions....

:invisible ink: but it will help :/invissible ink:

Hi Brer_Papa,

It is cold, windy and a bit rainy here today too. The sky looks just like it could snow

My resume for the audition will be in the mail ::yes:: . If you don't receive it in time just start without me :p

Sounds like the grandkids are having fun! Do you take lots of pictures of them????

I bet they are so cute :D

Thinking about you today Kim.

Not much else I can say at a time like this, but remember you are in our thoughts.

Cruisin - that was an AWESOME link! I remember most of those things. I'm the youngest child of 7, so most of that stuff, I grew up with, too!

Hope ya'll are having a good day. DH and I had a nice day. We volunteered the morning away. This afternoon we finally got the camping gear cleaned up, stored & ready for the next trip! Took a late nap and watched some TV.

Tomorrow, we're going to see "ShowBoat" at the theatre. Looking forward to it. We usually go to the dinner theatre once a year with my folks. This year, we're also going to see their Christmas production.

Monday, DH has an eye appt. and I'm volunteering for most of the day.

Ooh - sister is coming this weekend! Always fun!

BP - as for my chicken-doo-doo resume. I'm in! If I get to test these devices at WDW (production company paid, of course!) I'm willing to get dookied on! Heck, I'll even wear makeup!

Kim - thinking of you, girlfriend!

Everyone else - come out, come out wherever you are! Oly-oly-oxen-free!
