Morning everyone!

Well I seem to have survived my dancing experience with a minimum of aches and pains

I am busy packing up and getting ready to leave for the weekend. I just thought I would stop in and wish everyone a great weekend.

Hi all. Sorry haven't been around lately. PC is busted...posting from a friends house. Been singin' the blues lately. Also very busy with work and volunteering this week for the Miss America Pageant. Thousands of casino workers could be going on strike this week as well so it should be an interesting week. Well...gotta run. Talk to you all soon.

Popcorn and wings, huh? Well you just asked for two of my specialties! I had to make hot wing THREE times during the last sister's weekend and during evacuation, I made them in Tennessee and they ate them all and we made a batch at midnight the same night. Instead of buttery popcorn - have you ever had bacon popcorn? With crisp bacon in the popcorn? It's yummy and I recommend it. However, I won't be able to indulge - it's not on my doctor's recommended list of things to eat. However, I do indulge once a month at the movies (small, of course!)

Well, ya'll take care. We're going to get a few things done before it rains again and keep our eye on Ivan. They're predicting for our area about the same as Frances, but it's moving faster. However, we no longer have trees to offer as a sacrifice - Frances gobbled them up!

My thoughts exactly! I kept checking back and no one wants to play! Oh, well. I've been busy worrying about the Hurricane. It looks like it's going to pass Jacksonville & Orlando with less mess than Frances. However, my sister, who lives in Panama City is looking right down Ivan's throat. She's all set, but I worry. Random thoughts I had whilst I sat amid the drone of remote control airplane engines

I miss my thread Killer friends!

What is BP up to now .............. causing trouble or getting ready for a weekend of fair "stompin" ?????? or both

I sure was hoping that Ivan was not really headed right for Florida and Hollyann's house .......... again!!!!!!!!!!! I was not near any television or radio all weekend.

I should have brought my tap shoes so I could practice what I learned last week

I must have thought about having lunch at MK with Ann about a million times while I was enjoying the sunshine, mentally counting down the days!

Thought about how a certain thread killer would have enjoyed all of the good food that we shared this weekend with our "airplane friends"

Wondered what Kim was doing when someone brought up an airplane event that is scheduled for next year in Chicago!

Dang, you did a LOT of thinking out there! Me, I enjoyed being home after evacuating. Did a lot of nesting and cleaning up for the next storm. Hubby had the trees cut up, but we decided to take them to a dumping station in case our regular trash pick up was delayed due to all the tree damage they had to take care of and then have the storm come up!

I hope the rest of the gang is okay. I imagine BP is full up on Sausage sandwiches, ice-cream and cow patties in his shoes....Kim is probably working out, Kevin and Sarah - cyber smoochie-dooing? Mamudduck and Mamajoan - lurking, thinking of us? Snowangel and Dalpal - lurking or maybe running far, far away from the crazy threadkillers!

Well, since I am not all that interested in small flying airplanes, I had lots of time to think I did spend some time watching the airplanes fly too.

There is a guy who puts on a show after dark with a remote control helicopter. It is so nice to see. The helicopter is all lit up and he shoots off fireworks with it up in the sky. This helicopter almost seems to have a personality of it's own. It reminds me very, very much of the little creature (don't know what it is
) that is the "host" of the 3-D Muppet Movie at MGM. the little yellow guy, maybe a taxi cab??? The helicopter darts around and nods etc just like that little guy does, neat

Morning everyone!! DH was off all week so I haven't been around as much plus NFL football started this weekend. Thanks for the tip HollyAnn but my brother sucks up all the Pittsburgh players rather quickly. He's been known to put on the face paint, grab the terrible towel and act like a fool in the stands. I always wanted to go to a game and unfortunately never made it before they tore down the old stadium. Thankfully I won my match-up before the Monday night game but I could have done better. (Thank you Shawn Alexander and Algae Crumpler!!! )

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Fall is definitely in the air. Can you believe we're almost half-way through September already??!!

It is going to be a beautiful week here weather wise. mid 80's and sunshine being predicted until the weekend and then it will cool off a bit

We are very excited to be taking them with us to WDW in July. We took there older sisters last June and now it is there turn.
Two 5 YOs should be interesting to say the least.

Anyway hope you all had a great weekend and I am so glad it doesnt look like Fla. is going to have to worry about Ivan.

I have been praying for all who had to deal with the other two.

I will be lurking on this thread more often to see what all you good people are doing.
In the mean time keep killing this tread. It has to be the longest thread to be killed by so many posters I have seen!

Hi everyone!

Had a good day so far! Walked 3 miles with hubby and volunteered til 1pm. We thought we were volunteering 5-7:30 registering voters Mon-Wed, but it's next week. So, I'm going to volunteer again Wed & Friday.

DalPal - your grandbabies are beautiful! Hubby and I have plans to take our grandson to WDW with his other grandparents for his 5th birthday. It should be fun.

SnowAngel - it's hot here, too. We've got rain coming in - like we need it here in Florida.

LuckyMommyx2 - sounds like you had an awesome weekend. SO glad football season is here again! Gotta LOVE those Steelers! Hubby is a Jaguar fan and both our teams won this weekend - so we're still talking!

Cruisin - how ya doin'? I'm still here. Only 10 more days!
