ungrateful, spoiled rotten children, who won't listen to their parents, who don't appreciate what we do and provide for them and only want to argue. Who think they are always right and should be able to do what they want to do whenever they want to do it. Kids who expect that they can grouch (not exactly the word I want to use!) at you and you should just accept it and cause their parents to have sleepless nights. etc. etc. etc. etc. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(
Sounds like the morning I just had, which leads to lack of concentration on my part here at work, while I continue to worry about her.

 Robin! I know exactly how you feel. :(

Happy Belated Birthdays, Sarah, Ann, Joan, Robin's mom & brother!!!!!

Hope it was SUPER.......<bgsound src="http://www.tripletsandus.com/disney/midi/super.mid">

couldn't find Happy Birthday quickly

:teeth: Good idea, Luckymommy. I could post a poll about whether people lurk on so called "clique" threads without posting :scratchin and where they lurk!

 I just realized that I am taking a poll about posting a poll :rotfl:

::yes:: I feel for you Kim. Mothers and daughters  , most of the time we get along just fine but sometimes ...........

:wave2: MaMudduck, Happy Birthday would be a good song to have in our repertoire :D Hope you are having a good day!!

Hello HollyAnn!

(Do you think Ozzie the Windbag blew the icing off the cake when he blew out the candles?)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I hope your day was wonderful & magical!

So...how are things your way?

DS the CM tells me things are returning to some normalcy.....

They do have a leak in the roof....but...it's minor....

He worked 16 hours Monday....says the attendance Monday was 10,000 guests or less....but in true Disney fashion....everything went well for them....

all eyes are on Ivan.....

Hello Kim! :wave2:

Congratulations and condolences on returning to work....

Sounds like you have a great job but....

lol...but.... :)

Hi LuckyMommyx2!

As stated....kids are fine...and I was glad to read your friends came through it OK as well....

Good idea for the poll....makes me wonder how many of us have been "part-time lurkers" from time to time.....

Hello MaMudDuck! :wave2:

Good to see you!

As the musical guru....woud you mind a request?

"Laughing Place"....this thread is one of mine....in case you haven't figured that out... :)

Ahoy Cruisin' ! :boat:

Good thing this is in the written form....if someone HEARD you were filling in for vacation and a poll was involved...they might think "AAAH...Exotic Dancer!"

Well...pretty soon...you & HollyAnn will be ejoying the Florida sunshne at WDW....meeting for the 1st time....having lunch....

and me...always being a "Helpful Henry"....can give you some hints on what to do to overcome that initial shyness....and fill in those usual jittery moments of silence....

1st....take out those pictures of me you 2 printed off your computers and undoubtedly carry in your wallets....

get some magic markers...

draw in a kilt....

then see who can draw in the most one-man-band equipment I have been known to carry....

that'll pass the time....

side note: when I go to my 1st DIS meet...I'm taking Cruisin's picture where her face is blocked out by the sun...
I'll draw a face...OOPS...minus the "Groucho" nose /glasses / bushy eyebrows....and minus a moustache....of course....

2nd...alternate sitting and standing...effectively...a 2 person "wave"...

shouting "GO CUBS GO!" at the top of your lungs....

this will also pass some time....and please Kim to no end....

3rd....go to Pecos Bill....get some fries....go outside...

then...juggle 3 fries at a time...this will drive those birds looking for "free food" nuts....

I'd send you 2 to Tony's....but..I don't know that you're ready to juggle spaghetti noodles....

it's a hoot too....no pun intended....

well...just do those 3 simple items....and you 2 will be bonded for life...

or....

escorted from the park....

aaaah....but what priceless memories!

this post is going from medium to almost long....I was going to tell a fair story....but...i'll do so later....

PSST! Hey Lurkers!

how ya dooooin'?

I know you guys have been wondering what it's like for a man to wear a kilt....

well...just follow 2 simple rules and it's a walk in the park....

Rule 1: Avoid arguments with your spouse / SO on who wears the pants in the family while wearing a kilt.....

Rule 2: Disreagard Rule 1 if you're a Master Debater.....

well, well, well, THERE you are Brer_Papa, you have been hiding out on us again:eek:

Glad your kids are doing okay down in Hurricane Land. Sounds like it would have been a good day to go to the parks with such a small attendance.

Ivan is going to visit somewhere else ::yes::

Exotic dancer, weelllll, I don't really think so. But I am starting my dance classes tomorrow night!!. Adult tap dance and adult hip hop classes :earseek: , should be good for a few laughs, since I have never done either and really have no dance skills at all. I have to visit the chiropractor tomorrow morning first ;)

Well, I do know where there is a picture or two of you that I
could print out of you but I haven't done it yet  But thanks for the idea :smooth: Ann and I could have fun with that I am sure. I will make sure that we don't draw any funny stuff on the car though okay!

We will be waiting for that fair story :hyper:

Exotic!!!!!!!!!

Hardly , anybody need a good laugh, come on out and watch my very first dance class.

Guaranteed good time::yes::

 :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'll let you know tomorrow night how it went, if I can still move enough to get down the stairs that is :faint:

Saturday, PA & I took soe Grandkids to the Great Stoneboro Fair.....Kara, Corey & Sammy....

We were having a great time....riding rides....grabbing a bite to eat....seeing the exhibits....

after a while....we decided to get some ice cream....cones for all but sammy....who, at 2 years old....fares better with a bowl than a cone...

So....I take Sammy to the cow milking parlor....she loves the critters...

while PA, Kara & Corey go get in line for the ice cream....

once @ the milkin parlor....SammY & I park it on a bench...and watch cow after cow getting milked....

when one was done...one of the farmers led one cow out while another was brought in...

Sammy was fascinated the whole procedure.......

plus...she would greet each cow with a "Hi Cow"....and dismiss each one with a "Bye Cow" as they went in and out of the parlor...

eventually, the other 3 joined us...cones and a bowl of ce cream n and....and we all sat on the bench eating our snack....

I had Sammy standing facing me...so I could help her spoon her treat from the bowl...

and then....as a young girl was leading a huge Holstein in for milking...i saw the cow's tail start to rise....

being a farm boy from way back..i was certain what the tail rising meant.....especially on a concrete floor....

so...throwing caution to the wind...and with a total disregard for my own well-being....I did what I had to do...

Children & ice cream first! ...must be my motto...

for...as the

PLOP PLOP PLOP

began....I threw myself bewteen the kids and the ice cream....

I took one...well...more than one...A LOT...for the team...

my right shoe....sock....leg...and denim shorts can attest to...

i got splattered....and splattered good...

I am happy to report....that after a careful inspection of kids and cones....all was well...

I am also happy to report...that when we went to the Grandstand for the bull riding event....despite my vigorous clean up in the men's room....we had plenty of seating room for me and mine....

never let it be said i don't pass on my knowledge...

those 3 kids will always remember what a rising tail means for the rest of their lives....

I suppose they could probably do worse than to grow up like you ::yes::

I can just picture the future family gatherings .........

kilts flying .............

silverware, scarves, knives, anything not tied down flying .........

musical instruments strapped to every imaginable body part .....

sounds of yodelling filling the house ................

Wow, the fun times you guys will have ::yes::

don't forget the frog-giggin'
safaris......

and....don't forget...you're always invited....

Thanks for the invitation. It sounds like a nice family to visit during a holiday celebration. ::yes::

My own family can be pretty crazy too. All of us are well equipped with good sense of humours and fairly sharp wits, so it can get pretty amusing at times here too.

Maybe someday I will take you up on that invitation!

:wave2: :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Hello TK's!! sorry I have been abscent. been crazy.. literally, around the ranch. It is good tears can turn into laughter. I am glad God gave me good ol' strong will and optimistic gooseyness.

Thank you for all the BD wishes... right back at 'cha for many of you!!

The "remnants" of Hurricane Frances passed through.....what a downpour!

A solid wall of rain.....knocked me offline....

and it poured and poured....all night....

I'm certainly not trying to compare this what our friends in Florida and the South went through....

just sharing....and telling Thread-Killers and Lurkers who will be getting it next....get ready...its gonna be a wet day...

Hi MamaJoan!

AAAH..45? You're just a young'n....

turning 40 was fun....

turning 50 was even more fun....

Good morning Brer_Papa and fellow threadkillers! BP, did you get a little wet last night?! :umbrella: :boat: I think we're the only ones in Maryland that didn't really see any rain yesterday, yet they had us in flood watch?!? It's cloudy here this morning and really, really windy! :tilt:

I just wanted to wish everyone here that had a birthday recently

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! :bday:

I don't know everyone by name yet so please bear with me!

Hey Cruisin, did you do your poll yet? I just want to make sure I participate and don't miss it!

Have a great one guys!!! :teeth:

Hi everyone!

I'm BAAAACKKKKK! I arrived in FL last night. Just as Ivan decided to take a northward turn and may hit Florida - ugh! I don't know about ya'll, but I'm about done with hurricane season! November 1st can't come too soon!

Thank you all for your prayers and pixie dust during the storm. I know I'm NOT leaving for Ivan (even though it's been upgraded to a CAT5) unless hubby goes with me!

Hopefully, all will be well. I want to go to WDW! Cruisin - plan on meeting me there unless something drastic happens to either the world - or my world! Can't wait!

Love to all of you! Annie

P.S. I decided to treat myself yesterday (B-day) while we were traveling.....I went to McDonald's (my FAVORITE!) and had a cheeseburger and small fries. Well, I'm just NOT meant to eat bad for you foods any more! I broke out in hives all over! Took some allergy meds and it went away. Maybe I'm alergic to more than just shellfish (aside from diabetes) and the fries were fried in the same oil as filet-o-fish. Anyway, it tasted delicious!

:wave2:joan, nice to see you back. I hope things settle down for you soon at home. 45 :earseek: , wow, been there and done that ......... staring at the backside of 50 ......... won't be long and I will be there!!!!!!!!! That's okay with me ::yes:: , I will take every single birthday that is thrown my way. It is much better than the alternative!!!!!!!!

Yesterday was rainy and windy here too. Today is dreary and quite windy but no rain so far. It is supposed to clear up later and it will be a great weekend!!!

Brer_Papa , along with our duet, I can always show off some of my more "exotic" hip hop moves :p Then we would be a real comedy act.!!!!

Luckymommy, my date to do poll "duty" ;) is Wednesday Sept 15. I figured out how to post a poll, now I just have to come up with the topic I want to use.

Ann!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice to know that you are back home safely. That Ivan better just think twice and maybe a hundred times about where he plans to visit

As long as the airplane is flying to Florida, we plan on being on it. So unless it is a major disaster we will be there. Looking forward to it very much too.

Too bad about the reaction. At least the food tasted good :teeth:
