White Plains (NY) airport

Can anyone give me any info about the parking situation at White Plains? We have never flown out of there before, but read on their website parking is limited. We are leaving on a Friday night, so my DH thinks all the business travelers will have left and there will be plenty of spots.

Anything that anybody can tell me about this airport is most appreciated

I love this airport...it's so easy to get checked in and around...

I have never had to park as I always get a ride or take a cab...we are only about 25 minutes south of the airport.

Parking is always a crap shoot on any day. You can call before you leave and ask the garage attendent if the garage is full. If it is just call the LaQuinta Inn in Armonk and arrange for parking and transportation there.

parking at the laquinta in armonk is $10/day--much cheaper than parking onsite at HPN. we're parking here for our trip next month-no worrying about whether there will be spots and easier on the wallet.

We love the airport, however we will NEVER again park there. I would park at the LaQuinta like the pp said.

The last time we parked we almost missed our flight & ended up having to park on the grass median by the toll booths. It's where the guy in the booths told us to park, but we were SOO worried about our car the whole time.

Do you have to stay the night at La Quinta to qualify to park there during your trip?

No you don't have to stay there. You call the day before and let them know that you are planning on leaving your car and what time you are coming. We have done this twice already. You need a few minutes to fill out the log and pay the $10 per day fee, which is about a 1/3 of what the airport charges per day. And allow yourselves some time to get over to the airport. When you get back to the airport you just call La Quinta after you get your luggage and they meet you outside. We did wait about 40 minutes when we arrived home this last trip but I think that was because it was after 11pm and they had to call the driver and let him know we were there. When we returned in Dec we only waited about 15 minutes.

Thanks for the info! We haven't flown out of HPN in a while because even though JetBlue's prices are lower than SWA out of BDL, once we add in the car service it ended up being more expensive. We'll have to think about this for next time because I do like the TVs on JB.
