Which loop has more trees, growth and has been less cleared out? 1600 or 2000?

With all the clearing, I'm wondering if anyone knows which loop has been cleared out less and which loop offers more foliage/seclusion.

After examining this question repeatedly, I can find no impetus for certain members to tease me. You're going to have to come up with something, guys.

As you may see from my post, they are clearing at a fast rate. If someone were to tell you that a site had more foliage/seclusion, it could quickly change before you check in. My site went from seclusion to the world could see me in two days. I don't think anyone could give you a good answer at this point. Fort Wilderness still rocks with the clearing going on.

Good point about the rapidly changing environment. I'm debating making a request for 1600 and I can't decide if it is something we should request or not as there are times when I think I'd prefer 2000 and others when I think I'd prefer 1600. I should probably leave it up in the air...

We don't have a pet so we have never requested a specific loop. Always mean to but never get around to it . Now that we have a cart we don't care where we are as long as were at the Fort..My friends finally saw the camper and they laughed when they said how do you like "CAMPING".. It may not be in a tent but, If momma wants a Resort and I want camping ,,,,,I call this camping..

1600 still looks pretty good to me - even after they cleaned it out! We haven't seen the 2000 loop since the chain saw gang arrived there. We will probably take our bikes to the Fort tomorrow afternoon - so I'll let you know what 2000 looks like.

Don't forget that the 2000 loop are partial hook-up sites. (W/E) 1600 is full hook-up sites. (W/E/S)

Hey Dream, I wouldn't worry about it too, much. Those pictures that Carol posted the other day show a 2000 loop that doesn't look like it has had as much cleared as the one Mike showed, but that doesn't mean it won't change between now and December. It's best to put your concerns about the minor details of your choice out of your mind and go for what's going to be most convenient for you with your kids (I think the 1500 loop for the age of your kids). Let the site chips fall where they may, I'm pretty sure you'll still have a good time.

Don't worry about this, either, your questions show your concern about things you've never done before and your desire to learn before you get there. Research and questions are a good thing
