I've been looking at different car rental companies for an upcoming trip.
Are there any that are better than others at MCO? We will probably reserve a full size, but looking at the Emerald Aisle option with National?
I really have no idea where to start?:surfweb:

I have always used Alamo. They are owned by National, and since I always book a compact car, the EA doesn't work for me. I like Alamo because they are right at the airport (no shuttle), you have your pick of cars in the category you rent from, you can use their kiosk and totally skip the counter (and the sales people there plus the lines that may or may not be at the counter.) You can make a reservation with them online generally w/o giving a cc number (I think there are exceptions for certain categories of vehicles when you do need to give them a cc number to hold your reservation, however.) If you find a better deal with another company or with Alamo on a different day, it's easy to cancel without any penalty. :thumbsup2

There are codes on the Mousesavers website for all the different companies. They can save you a ton of money.

Have used Alamo/National. Like other they poster they are the same company, Alamo is usually less expensive. We like National best because using EA you can get your luggage, walk out to the garage and just pick out whichever car that's available in your class. Drive to booth, hand person DL and away you go. Alamo works the same way after you use the kiosk which takes about 5 min. You actually select your car from National.

Got a great deal through Avis for both our upcoming Oct & Dec. trips. DH is preferred member so we can just go out to the garage there, but Avis picks out your car for you. They usually give you options.

Dollar is okay used them once. No line at the counter. Thrifty is about same except Blue Chip you can go to garage, they also pick out car for you. Right now they have some good prices using the Orlando Magic card.
Carrentalsavers.com is a good site to price and mousesavers.com has lots of codes & coupons. I would use rental company that is in the terminal, which all the above are. The shuttle to your car can take a lot of time for both pickup and return.
