Okay...I crunched the numbers and if the deal comes out we will be switching to the Poly :Pinkbounc

Anyhow...what would be the best building to request? I have twins (age 2 1/2) and we would like to be near the monorail station and the kiddie pool.

Additionally, do all the rooms have balconies or patios? We will be doing Garden View.

Thanks

Well, I don't know where the kiddie pool is, exactly, but Samoa is very convenient to the volcano pool in general, and the quiet pool on the other side. If you check out Tikiman's website (tikiman2001.homestead.com) you can get a very good idea where you want to stay, and which blgs. have balconies on all three floors!

We just stayed at the Poly and were in Rapa Nui - the furthest building away from most everything at the Poly. However, it was closest to the TTC with the express monorail to the parks. But again, quite a hike to get food and go to the pool. Plus, it hasn't been renovated yet - my husband described our room as "dingy". It was quiet, it was clean, but first floor garden view and was quite dark.

We had samoa 1602 ground floor volcano pool view. It was perfect for us. We really didnt hear noise from the pool, but for privacy you should keep the shade/curtain shut. It was the perfect location. A hop, skip and jump to captain cooks for snacks and mug runs, around the corner from the quiet pool and a short, short walk to the gch for the monorail., a little further walk out to the bus stop. I believe the 2nd floor does not have a balcony, but the 3rd floor does. You will love the poly, its our favorite, even though we stayed at the swan this time.

I believe Fiji is close to the pool and has some great views (even from the garden view rooms) In most of the buildings there are not balconies on the second floor, check out Tikiman's website for details. Some of the newer buildings do have balconies or patios for every room.

I have only stayed at the Poly 2X--both in garden view rooms. We like tahiti because none of the garden view rooms face a parking lot, it is very close to the transportation and ticket center where you can catch the monorail directly to the MK or to Epcot. Also, it is not that far from the main pool--about a 5 minute walk. Just our opinion, but we really enjoy that location.

We've loved every longhouse we've been in at the Polynesian. I think all have their advantages.

However, there is no longer a kiddie pool per se but instead the volvano pool is zero entry which is even nicer for toddlers I think.
