Where to stay?

We are thinking ahead to a trip next Dec to WDW. We will have 7 people with us. We have stayed at BWV but didn't like the sofa bed in the second bedroom of the 2 bedroom units. I hear there are going to be some with 2 beds at the BCV. Which one should we go for? We own at OKW, but would rather stay at BWV or BCV. I am going to have to wait for the 7 month window. Should I book at OKW at 11 and change if possible to one of the others at 7 months? We are going down the middle to Dec, so we won't be there at Christmas. I just read another post that BCV rooms are smaller and that doesn't appeal to me with 7 people. I guess we can bring an aero bed to put on the top of the sofa bed at BWV. Would appreciate any ideas.

Definitely book OKW at your 11 month window. The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas has become more and more popular with DVC members. For the past two years, BWV has been booking up completely at the 11 month window and I expect to see BCV do the same thing. That's not to say that you have no chance to book either at the 7 month window, but it is likely that you will need to use the waitlist. If you book OKW you will at least know you have a great place to stay if things don't work out for BWV or BCV.

Given your dislike for the sofa bed, I'd recommend that you try to book a dedicated 2 bedroom at BCV. My understanding is that the rooms at BCV are the same size (or very close to the same size) as those at BWV. According to other posts on this board, some of the BCV dedicated 2 bedroom units will have 2 queen beds. Right now, they have a queen and a queen pullout in the second bedroom, but they are going to change some of them to two queen beds. My advice is to request a dedicated two bedroom unit with two queen beds in the second bedroom when you book.
