Where to find point allocation within existing reservations?

Hi all,

We currently have two sets of reservations for this year we are now working to figure out. One is a rental of 2 studios at AK for last week of June. I haven’t contacted the folks who rented the points from me as of yet but will do so soon to see what their thoughts are, and if I can assist with a reschedule. However before I do so I want to find out what those rentals are comprised of in terms of the type of points I used .

I somehow lost track as to whether they included banked, current, or borrowed points. I have 3 different contracts so it is a bit confusing and I can’t put my hands on some of my documentation. I’m pretty sure the June reservations were strictly made up of current use year and borrowed points but again I need to double check to figure out what I’m going to do. And if I were to cancel those reservations now, would the banked points go back into next year automatically, or is that only for reservations less than 30 days out? Our other reservation is for late November for ourselves - thinking I may cancel that one as well so same question.

Without having to get on the phone and hold for an eternity with DVC - is there any place on the DVC website to find this info within each reservation? . I just tried looking and can’t really find anything that specifies what types of points are in each reservation, only lists of transactions of when I originally banked/borrowed the points previously on each contract.

You can use the chat feature, What I do, is go in and modify the reservation without changing anything and when you get to the end and confirm the booking again, their will be a points summary.

I always screen shot it to keep it handy!

The DVC membership site does not make it easy to learn whether and which points in a reservation are banked, current, or borrowed. One way is mentioned above, modify a reservation to the same reservation that already exists. Another is to go to the DVC Member site>My Dashboard (under My DVC)> Manage Vacation Points> Full Statement of Vacation Point Activity (View Transactions). It may then take some doing to figure out what actually went into a vacation reservation but can be done via knowing where your account stands now as to unused points and following the applicable history for point activity. Start with the date you made or last modified the particular reservation, and then work back to see what occurred beforehand, e.g., if any borrowed points were used they would hav been borrowed and used at or before the same time as the reservation; if any banked points were used, they would have been banked before making the reservation and used in the reservation before any current use year points were used.

Thanks everyone. I tried the modify idea and wasn’t able to figure that out, but I used the chat room for the first time and it was awesome! The CM sent me detailed info for each reservation via chat. It does look like I have about 87 banked points which I stand to lose unless they offer a solution for those. But I’m also able to get almost 200 borrowed points put back into next year which is a big help.
