With our 180 days 4 weeks away I have been thinking about all our meal plans. We are planning to eat off site for two nights but we have no idea where?!?

A few places we have talked about are

- red lobster
- cheese cake factory
- TGIF Fridays - DH isn't so keen about here as we can go to one here in the UK

So please where do you recommend?

Love cheescake factory and i also orefer this out there than here, so muchbetter service. We also have tried chilis and outback steakhouse out there and even hooters!

We much prefer offsite restaurants.

Some of our favourites are:

Friendlys
Bob Evans
Outback Steakhouse
Mannys Chophouse(quite a drive from WDW but worth it)
Chilis
Cheesecake Factory

I really like Sweet Tomatoes in the Crossroads shopping center. It is a buffet with a giant salad bar, plus fresh soups, freshly made pastas, baked potatoes, focaccia "pizzas" and dessert. All for less than $10 per person. Here is a menu: http://www.souplantation.com/locations/restaurant.aspx?store_id=116&store_name=Lake_Buena_Vista . If you join their "Club Veg" they will email you coupons to bring the cost down even more. I usually just bring the email/coupon up on my phone and they give me the discount. The last coupon I got was for 2 meals for $20 including drinks (which are usually about $2.50 each).

We like to go to Sweet Tomatoes for a more healthy meal of salad and veggies after a few days of eating in the parks.

Lol I'm not sure what Elsie would think about hooters lol! I have heard about chillis a few times think I'll have to go have a look in to this place

Another chillis recommendation looking hopeful for one of our meals

This sounds good DH loves pasta

It's not particularly fancy pasta. It's mac and cheese, alfredo, and penne with red sauce. But they make it fresh right where it is served. I like Sweet Tomatoes best for the fresh salads & soups. After a few days of "park food" I need something that isn't fried :lmao:.

Here are some more photos: http://blog.souplantation.com/sweet-tomatoes-is-the-best/

They are also open for lunch so if you want something nicer for dinner you can always duck out to Sweet Tomatoes for lunch. The lunch menu is almost the same as the dinner menu. I believe that they leave off some of their monthly specialties at lunch.

ETA: I see you are looking at Chili's. am not a big Chili's fan because it is such a ubiquitous chain restaurant here in the US *yawn*. IMO, the food is unexceptional.

Olive Garden is one of our favourites as well as Outback.

We also really enjoy Cafe D'Antonio at Celebration :goodvibes

IF I had to only pick two places off site to eat they'd have to be
Cheesecake Factory and Manny's :goodvibes

My 2 would probably be Cheesecake factory & Texas Roadhouse (not been to new location yet but really liked the old one) which I prefer it to Manny's and nearer.
DW would choose Cheesecake factory & Mimi's cafe, they serve her fave meal, turkey dinner.

We usually goto Sweet Toms for lunch, great place but if only 2 to choose it wouldn't be up there for me.

Chilis is OK bad but again wouldn't be top 2

Olive Garden I would never advise anyone to go because it can be anything from great to poor, all down to the location and server you get, LBV was really bad, near the Loop very good.

Very difficult to choose 2 with all that choice.

we'll be trying 2 restaurants for the first time. I got discounted coupons on restaurant.com, so I thought we'd give them a try

- Giraffe café (it's on hotel plaza)
- Café Osceola (on Universal Boulevard)

don't really know what to expect, (any reviews welcome)

We'll also be going to Giordano's for a deep dish pizza.

Ihop for breakfast
Sizzler's for dinner at least once

Manny's too far away for me.

Still wondering about the miller ale house on 535

Cici's pizza is still a favorite, but does it really qualify as a restaurant ?

just a few thoughts though

Where will you be on your 2 offsite days? I'd go for somewhere nearby.

If all your other meals are disney you may find you just want something simple.

We like Friendly's on I drive- not fancy but has always been nice. I noticed they had set up a corner with a few toys this year eg a play kitchen would be ideal to keep a toddler amused whilst you wait for food.

TGI was our worst meal in May.

Lots of offsite eating pics in my dining on a budget reports - links to both in my signature.

Thanks every one I need to look at a lot of reviews and websites I think! I'm struggling trying to convince DH to eat at the cheese cake factory as he loves mall at millennia's food court! Are there any others near?

Buffets are great because of DD will be under 2 I can just give her some from my plate as she will never eat a meal of her own and don't want to be waisting money!

We love PF Changs, Bubba Gumps and Cheesecake Factory.

Bubba gumps and hard rock cafe are two we considered! Would we have to pay parking for city walk though?

we loved Logans Road House the food was brilliant, really good service and they did lovely individual puddings in really cute "buckets" we were too full to eat them there so we brought them home (well back to the villa LOL!). this is a chocolate brownie one, there was also a peanut butter type one whcih was lovely

Just had an email thru from them a couple of hours ago, 20% off all food(and non-alcoholic drinks), valid until 22 July. Printed it off but so many places we want to eat and we only have 3 evenings before DDP.
