Is it something seen from one of the bridges?![]()
You're on the right track but this wouldn't be classified as a "walkway".![]()

Didn't want to say anything since we've had 3 bogus reports but Bellville's Virginia has been found, identified and is coming home tomorrow. The entire community is grateful to the amazing First Responders who have worked endless hours in trying to recover the victims; they've been through hell and there are still over 100 people missing. They've given one more family...and community...the closure needed to begin the healing process.
From Austin County News Online:
Tomorrow, our community will come together to honor and mourn Virginia Hollis, one of the young lives tragically lost in the devastating flooding in the Texas Hill Country.
Law enforcement from across Austin County, joined by other agencies along the way, will escort her home from San Antonio. The procession will follow I-10 East to Columbus, exit to Hwy 71, then continue onto FM 109 through Frelsburg, New Ulm, and Industry. From there, it will travel FM 159 West into Bellville, proceed down Hwy 36 South, circle the downtown square, pass through Faith Academy, and conclude at Schmidt Funeral Home.
Arrival in Bellville is expected around 6:00 PM.
We invite the community to stand along the route and pay tribute to Virginia and her family—whether in silence, prayer, or through a simple gesture of support. In times like these, Austin County shows its heart.

It was a hard day to celebrate since Virginia came home but still a good one. She met her college best friend at her favorite restaurant, Taste of Texas, for dinner so she was happy.
I can't begin to explain the emotions when the Bellville PD finally arrived after the long trip from San Antonio. EVERY city/town between Bellville and San Antonio honored her with First Responders on overpass's or on the streets and SO many people with green ribbons and balloons and signs in the larger cities on I-10 and the tiny towns in the country. When they arrived home her Granddad led her riderless horse, complete with her western hat on the saddle and backwards pink cowboy boots in the stirrups, behind her as her parents and grandparents walked behind the horse. The Houston TV reporter couldn't finish her report she was crying so hard. The procession included over 30 First Responder vehicles when it arrived in Bellville. After 12 days, she's finally home.
