With this mornings forecast track we are dodging a bullet from the worst winds. I don't think the hurricane force winds extend out to far compared to prior storms. The outer bands will have some intense fast moving storms though.

And chair is inside for the moment. All ready to go. Now it is just a waiting game. If I had enough gas in my Expedition for a round trip I would make a quick trip to see Star Wars Galaxy Edge. My Blazer has enough but that is for post storm use. One of the local news outlets said yesterday 2/3 of the gas stations in South Florida didn't have any gas.

Looks like you did "luck out" and escape the possible WORST winds but still could get "messy". Been "playing soccer" since early this morning so haven't seen any weather but hoping the mornings predictions are still holding true! Wanted to send you a text last night and forgot...Redstorm wanted to fly down and STAY WITH YOU when the storm came ashore! She's becoming a real "weather nerd" and honestly...she asked her Mother if, since they had a 3 day weekend, they could fly down and "experience" the storm at your place! I saw the same report on the Weather Channel before we left that most of Southern Florida was out of gas so I think you need to stay put! Galaxy's Edge will be there after the storm and read a report that the storm has NOT kept visitors away...pretty crowded yet today! Keep us posted!

Emily follows a few of the Disney shoppers online and has bought a bunch of stuff from them and we just got another shipment tonight

Everything is from the outlets even one of the mugs and Mickey eats from the flower and garden festival
And the hunted mansion buggy was only 1.99 you push the button and the three ghost appears and play sayings from the ride

8am update this morning is terrible for the Bahamas. 160 winds. Still hasn't made the turn. The center of Dorian is about 250 miles due east of me.

8am update this morning is terrible for the Bahamas. 160 winds. Still hasn't made the turn. The center of Dorian is about 250 miles due east of me.

Updates now are even worse ; 185 mph...WOW. Bahamas will be devastated; I can't imagine 2-3 DAYS of those pounding winds and waves. Still praying for that turn Ed but this monster storm is going to reach you in some way no matter what. You need a SHARP northern turn ASAP but doesn't look like that's going to happen. SWGE is looking better and better, isn't it? I think I might get a room reserved just in case ; I know you don't want to leave your home but DAMN......

Totally understand...unless you take a direct hit! Had Weather Channel on ALL day waiting for that announcement that's it's done the "turn thing" but that sucker is just taking it's dear sweet time. Redstorm's STILL ready to come bunk with you (and she LOVES cats ); this storm is fascinating her as she nears the beginning of her meteorology studies but dang it her Club Soccer team hasn't lost a game in the Labor Day Weekend tournament yet and play in the finals tomorrow at 1. The tournament site is REALLY close to Bush Airport and she'd make that short trip over and catch a plane in a heartbeat but don't think that would work anymore. Document it well for her and sure hope you don't have to "prove" that you can run faster than 5 mph in getting away from that sucker.
