I am not far below the 4 on the coastline. It seems with the slight slowing of forward movement brings the center towards me. I will definitely be in the eye wall. I have been through the center of a couple of storms and it does get very quiet in the eye.

I will be praying that you Terri to have not much damage. But this one is shaping up to be rather bad

During our local 10 PM news show the weatherman put the projected path on screen and I told David "that's going RIGHT OVER ED"! I haven't been in the eye of a hurricane since I was 10 years old...over 50 years ago and I can STILL remember that eerie feeling and almost TOTAL lack of "sound". Still brings "goosebumps" . Looks like you're in for a long Labor Day weekend ; we'll be keeping you and Terri in our prayers for minimal damage and the safety of you and your family and friends. We'll be out watching soccer...and SWEATING (heat index around 105 for all 3 days of the weekend) but will follow the status of the storm. Get prepared and then "watch and wait"...keep us posted my friend!

With the this mornings adjusted forecast track a little more to the south. Looks like I will be going thru another eye wall. Hopefully the Sky's are clear blue in the center this this time. I am just a few miles from the coast line in West Palm Beach. At least it is forecast to lose some strength before if get to you Terri.

Oh Wow Ed! That does not look good for you! 140 mile per hour winds when it gets to you! How does your house survive that?! Has it started raining? It's not supposed to be centered over you until Tuesday at 2 am? and then sit on you until Wednesday? Is that what this map is saying?

It's supposed to be a 1 when it hits Terri and DW? on Wed?

I would LOVE to see a picture of "the eye" (if it comes over you during daylight hours)...so would Redstorm! It's so cool seeing that clear, blue sky right in the middle of "hell" ...just be careful when you go out. My Dad and Uncle got "caught" and had to crawl back to Grandma's house...wind was to strong to walk against. Looks like a LOT of rain too...stay safe!

I would LOVE to see a picture of "the eye" (if it comes over you during daylight hours)...so would Redstorm! It's so cool seeing that clear, blue sky right in the middle of "hell" ...just be careful when you go out. My Dad and Uncle got "caught" and had to crawl back to Grandma's house...wind was to strong to walk against. Looks like a LOT of rain too...stay safe!

Weather is quite nice. Calm before the storm. I know I will probably lose a few shingles for this one. Most houses here are built CBS and to some standards. After Hurricane Andrew in 92 those standards were made stronger.

Have the blue tarp ready! You're not in a flood prone area, are you? After Harvey that thought is always on my mind! ⛈ Looks like the eye has really formed nicely this afternoon from the latest update; that sucker looks scary on the images I saw this earlier and it still has almost 2 days to "grow" in those warm waters! Our Gulf waters are in the low 90's and I know it's been as hot in Florida as it has here so that water has to be "good fuel" for it. But make sure the lawn chair is by the door INSIDE the house or you might never see it again!

Friday Night Lights in Texas were turned on tonight and the Brahmas pulled out the 18-15 overtime victory after Redstorm's prom date took over after the starting quarterback was injured! Fun night and so good seeing everyone again!
