i never stood the appeal of fishing or hunting, it seem like alot of sitting around and waiting lol

TOTALLY agree! Definitely not for me! And we have some friends who add "CAMPING OUT (like in tents and with no running water, AC and toilet facilities ) to that list! The "thrill of the hunt", along with what kind of surprise you'll find at the end of that fishing hook, is the draw but I don't have the patience to sit around (or track the wildlife) and wait or search for it. Give me a good book, some Disney adventures and a table service restaurant and I'm on my dream vacation. Sure does make them happy though!

Well...we started with having Katie for lunch to eat the salmon David caught in Alaska and then Sara asked if she could come; then Treavor decided to come back early from his weekend trip to Lake Charles so he was coming; David called Amanda to see if she and Bryan wanted to come eat fish and this morning Katie messaged to let me know Rowen would be joining us too! Full fledge "spur of the moment" Sunday family dinner with Allie "pouting" in Florida that SHE couldn't come! So much for a "quiet, lazy Sunday"...but sure was nice having a family lunch again!

Only a couple countries left; not France or UK or Norway, Japan, Canada or Mexico.

Day didn't start as planned! Opened the back door to patio and discovered David's frying vegetable oil for the fish yesterday laying ALL OVER the patio! Guess he didn't screw the lid on tight enough and SOMETHING ... I'm guessing our "famous back yard possum" that scares the dickens out of me some nights when I go out is the culprit! HOW does THAT get cleaned up...I'm talking a half gallon of cooking oil!

I thought when you went to Germany that you'd name Italy next! Oh well...you got there but no, it's not part of a statue.

It was! He pressure washed excess off and then just squirted Dawn dishwashing detergent all over the patio and scrubbed it with the broom! I'll see what it looks like when it dries.
