They WON today! Perfect day for seniors! So glad they could end the season on a positive note!
Ate lunch and did a little shopping and just started for home!

LONG DAY! Three, actually 2 1/2, more "non-stop days/evenings" to go. I'm as excited for WEDNESDAY to get here as Allie is! The only thing "on my list" for that day is "chicken squash soup for Allie"! Fun day for the team and last day we'll see the girls until probably August when pre-season starts. Gabby wants us to get a beach house this summer to spend some fun time together; hope we can arrange it! Allie got the start again and played probably 80 minutes again. Emily sat out a little longer; she's such a little "Energizer Bunny" she got overheated! It WAS rather warm this afternoon and it was a pretty intense game but worth the work to get the victory.

Best photo of the day...didn't know Allie could jump that high! And my FAVORITE is her "conversation" with the head ref...the other girls had been holding our girls ALL day....proof in photo #2 and they never got called! Two team members got their first goals of the season; especially happy about #44's goal...

We needed a change of scenery for the almost 4 hour trip home so we went home via Hwy. 183 to Austin and then home. Beautiful scenery and finally got to see the wind turbines up close...

Stopped an hour into our drive so we could watch Katie's jazz solo performance in the Houston area. She scored a 1st place platinum for MY favorite dance! It's "all about the attitude"!

And...the best part of the side trip was in Lampasas...STORM BURGERS! This little drive-in has been around since the '50's. ELVIS PRESLEY would drive the 27 miles from Ft. Hood when he was stationed there to have one of their "Storm Special's"...the absolute BEST hamburger I have ever eaten in my life! David devoured about half of his before I got a picture but I DID take one of the "heavenly" French Fries! Ironically....when we pulled into the lot we were listening to a Sirius 50's station ... and they played an Elvis song!

Even with the HASSLE of the Austin traffic .... it was a very nice day! And got a pretty darn good picture of the beautiful moon...not bad for a photo through the front windshield going 75 mph!

This was at Cinderella's Royal Table, the best meal we had at DW. Unfortunately, it was Jason's meal.

Finally able to sit down at the computer! Up at 7:30 (after getting to bed at 3 ) to watch Katie's dance competition online. There's NOTHING like being "greeted" with RAP MUSIC at 7:30 AM! Worked on the travel bags until her last number at 9:30 then went back to bed for a couple of hours! Sara just called with results; for the first time ever, the studio earned PLATIMUM ELITE and they received that score for TWO numbers! They earned a 1st overall in the Modern category, 3rd overall in Lyrical, 7th place in Rap and don't remember the Jazz score! The owner of the studio was in tears she was so excited! After lunch gathered all the "props" and met my soccer senior for pictures. Windy, cloudy day so it was a challenge but only took us 1 1/2 hours to finish the session. Now I need to package the sugar cookies and getting more deliveries from parents for the travel bags. Hope I can make it until bedtime! I'll be so tired tomorrow morning the dentist won't need DRUGS to put me to sleep!
