Another frustrating day for all of us, especially Allie. They are in desperate need of defensive GOOD players. There are 10 listed on defense on the roster and 7 are upperclassmen; sad to say none of them are "smart" defensive players. ALLIE saved 2 goals today and she played mid-field. Coach DID finally put Emily on defense late in the 2nd half....and she's listed as OFFENSE on the roster. Allie had 3 fouls called on her (Treavor finally yelled at her, "RICKY....if they're going to call you for fouls DO IT GOOD"! Ironically there were none called FOR her despite her being "on the ground" quite a few times! Emily went down almost as many times but nothing called in her favor either.

AND....to top it off....Coach told them he wanted them to eat a "light breakfast" since the game was at noon. He had breakfast delivered to the field house before they left...ONE BISCUIT for each of the girls! By the time they got to the 2nd quarter they were all starving! Allie ordered the biggest steak on the menu when we got to the restaurant! She started today, so she saw about 80 minutes of play; score was 0-0 at the half but other team scored 2 in the 2nd half and one was thanks to the wind...a gust JUST as the goalie was reaching for it and it flew over her head! Did get some good photos though; final game is Saturday and she'll be coming home for Easter Wednesday afternoon. She's SO happy she'll get to see everyone again...especially her kitty, Tiger.

Um no thank you I would have a panic attack if I had to drive over that.

Sara TRIES to keep him quiet but it doesn't work! One of these days ALL of "my girls" are going to listen to me and ALWAYS "pack" for road trips! I have granola bars, Belvita's, trail mix, etc. in my little bag to munch on during drives. Bless their hearts....they were all SO "hangry" (hungry AND angry ) after the game they couldn't WAIT to get to a restaurant. Emily didn't even stop to hug her Mom...she waved for her to "come on" and headed for the car! That elevated road was a "little" one compared to the 610 ones in Houston! As soon as we started the drive "up" I told David I really needed to take a picture for Diane!

Fun evening and the title of Bi-District Champs at the end of the it. Afraid it will probably be the last victory of the season looking at the next opponent. But they'll give it a try...probably Monday evening...AFTER major dental procedure at 10 AM for me. Sure had fun this evening...and I love the way the girls enjoy themselves...especially #23...after she was called for a foul and her Daddy yelled from the stands..."Kylie...WHAT did you do?"

Awesome stop by our goalkeeper to keep the other team scoreless...and the reaction on her face when the player that took the free kick TRIED TO TAKE THE BALL AWAY FROM HER! DUH...in the game of soccer the ONLY person that can put their hands on the ball is the keeper but she's clearly trying to get it out of her hands!

And the JOY of the 1st goal scored by this freshman....and the reaction of her teammates!

And...it took all year but Cami was finally knocked out of the game for the last 10 minutes! She's okay...just a little "loopy"...

Then there's Katie ; she actually had a pretty good evening!

Athletic Director even attended ... and took their picture after the victory! Now to get ready for Allie's last game tomorrow.....
