Where are my ADRS?-Disney site- UPDATE!! Post 570 pg 38

Hi everyone! Sorry if this is the wrong place, but here goes. I am new to the online ADR system and am a little afraid of the problems some of you are having. I am getting up at 3 in the morning (tonight) to make our 180 day reservations for our trip in May. Do you get an email confirmation for each ressie or for all the ones you make at one sitting? I just want to make sure I get the proper back-up in case they temporarily/permanently dissappear. I am trying to make sure I have it down now as my brain only works at 50% at that time of night :surfweb:. Thanks!

All my ressies. are now showing on line.

When system upgraded I was only able to see 6 of 13. All 13 are now showing again. :wizard:

The trip is for the 2nd. week of Jan.

Peace.
Colleen

You get a confirmation email for each reservation you make. Or at least, that's how it worked 5 months ago when I booked mine. :)

ransom,

Thank you for your response. I will make sure the printer is hooked up and ready to go!

I just logged in and all of my ressies for January are now showing up as well .

None of mine for December are showing up, AND I didn't even save the confirmation numbers! Rather I wrote down the restaurant and reservation times on our itinerary sheet, but I didn't include the confirmation numbers, and I had already deleted the confirmation emails. What a knuckle head thing for me to do! :headache:

Anyway, I just got off the phone with Disney Dining and all she needed was my name and phone number and she was able to look up all our reservations and confirmation numbers, which I immediately added to our itinerary. :thumbsup2

They still aren't showing up in the system though.

This is all I get, "
We are unable to retrieve dining reservations at this time. Please try again later."

I called and they have them, but would sure like to see them on line. I will print out all my emails as some have suggested.

texascutie,

I found it is a good idea to write down the confirmation number before I go on to the next ADR. In my case, and this is before the upgrade (lol), not all the emails were sent to me. Out of eleven ADR's I didn't get emails for three.

Good luck tomorrow!

Aunt Cawa,

I didn't know if it was like buying numerous items and they all went in to a cart till you were ready to check out and that was when you got a confirmation number and email. It sounds like you "check out" or finalize after each ADR. Hope that makes sense. You guys have been such a help; and congrats to all who are seeing their reservations back online. :yay:

If they are still working on the system, why are they working backwards from April to March to February and so on? Why wouldn't they start with the reservations for November and move forward -- so those going in the near future won't tie up the phone lines calling to confirm confirmations which already exist?

I understand IT upgrades and all, but that's just numbskullery. :surfweb:

Or maybe they're really smart. By working from the back end, for every day that goes by, that's a day's worth of ADRs they don't have to restore. If they'd started from this end, then they'd have to restore them all.

texascutie,

You finalize each ADR one at a time. Then an email is generated for that ADR. It would be lovely if we could just put them in a basket and check out once. I have no idea why some of my ADR's didn't get emails. Just to be an the safe side I wrote down the numbers before going on to the next ADR and I was glad I did.

Good luck getting the ADR's you want!

I see what you're saying, but that only applies if they don't finish the upgrade until weeks from now. Otherwise, there is very little benefit.

If they were REALLY smart, they'd get rid of the call-in numbers completely and only have an online ADR system. Then there would be no confusion, no 36 different answers everytime you speak with a CM, and everyone would be in the same boat if the system went down, not to mention how much money Disney would save per annum on salaries, overhead, etc.

:confused3problem with that....believe it or not....not everyone has a computer and internet:eek: and yes they would save on payrole....but look at all the people who would be out of a job...and as someone who lives in Florida, our unemployment rate is already way too high

My ADRs for mid-January are still not showing up. Just checked now and am still getting the unable to retrive message. I see some other January travelers are now able to see their ADRs online. Wonder if I need to worry?:confused3

I haven't called since they disappeared because I figured I was okay with my confirms but now I'm wonder if I should.

unfortunately, i cannot find the confirmation email for 1 of the missing ones??? not sure what to do about that???

Why not just call and get it from a CM?

Based on your post and on those of others who have mentioned when their ADRs are for, it looks like they may be working their way backwards, beginning with the April ADRs. Looks like they're working on January now. Hopefully December and November ones will be done by the end of this week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Ah yes, b/c that makes sense for Disney...I'm sure it's how they are doing it, don't get me wrong...it's just a little backwards. :upsidedow

So it sounds like calling to confirm is a waste of time because they're not really looking to see if the reservations are there. Probably because everything's all whacky and they're working from several different sets of data.

One person has reported that something went wonky. And that person doesn't know what sort of fix the CM did, doesn't really know what the problem was...

Just call, have them repeat the confirmation numbers and info for each ADR, and that should be enough confirmation that they are actually looking it up. The CM I talked to gave me info about each ADR. She was definitely looking them up.

I can't see all of my ressies online but I don't have all of my reservation numbers. If I call online, do you think they can find them w/o reservation numbers.

Yes.

ransom,

Thank you for your response. I will make sure the printer is hooked up and ready to go!

They are sent to your email address, so just write down the number (or copy/paste it into a text document) for later, and then you'll get your email confirmation, and you can print whenever you want.

I do not understand why you think this. Can you explain?

Because one person had CMs saying that all the ADRs were there, but they weren't giving specifics, and then something wonky happened once they got to WDW. But from a later post it seems that one CM was able to fix it all, so that was cool.

First I was getting, "Unable to retrieve" and now I'm getting, "You have no reservations." Either message is annoying. When I type the confirmation numbers, only 1/7 is "found," and that's for our last night on 12/30. Anyone have them displaying prior to 12/30?

For "fun" (HA!) I looked for availability for the restaurants I know I have confirmation numbers for, and they are now showing no availability:eek:

My ADRs had better really still be confirmed or else I would never even consider going at Christmas without ADRs:crowded: - I would have to cancel my trip.

I know that I can call, but I'm holding out for the re-appearance of my ADRs online so that I can print them all off.
