When to go? October 10-18 or 17-25?

Which week would you pick? First week kids would miss 4 days and second week 5 days of school. We'll do the MNSSHP and probably 1 day of water park.

We were entertaining first week of November too bc we love Osborne lights. Help me decide!!

We are going Oct. 10-17th! We have never been in the fall. We want to do MNSSHP. We picked this week so DD would only miss 3 1/2 days of school instead of a full week.

the better discounts (Free Dining) are always blacked out Columbus Day week. If a discount is important to your budget.

I was there Oct 18 to 24 last year, crowds not bad except for weekend at Epcot.

I was there around the same dates and agree. Not terrible crowds, but MNSSHP on Oct. 19 was packed, much busier than the first party I attended on Oct. 28th, 2010. I wonder if the earlier week in October would have a less crowded MNSSHP? Just a thought...

It will be busy both weeks due to fall breaks and food and wine, but the second will probably be busier due to our local schools here at Disney (Osceola County) having fall break October 23-26 this year. And Orange county is out the 22-26.

I can't offer advice for which week in October, as we've never been then, but I love WDW in November. However, the Osborne Lights don't go up until around the 7th or 8th, so you would miss them the first week.

The 10th to the 18th will span Columbus Day and the weekend prior. We were there that week in 2014 and that weekend and CD itself were busier that we came to expect in 4 previous Oct WDW trips. We're going the 25th to Nov 7 to skip that. Avoid WS on Sat night, crazy crowded then, but the other parks and Epcot during the week are moderately crowded at worst, less crowded than early March which used to be 'our' week.
