Whats you favorite sound at the fort?

Laying in the tent about 11:00 pm and hearing the Train Whistle from MK.

The occational Owl call. The Birds in the morning.

The Music on the trail to Pioneer Hall.

How about the sounds of the armadillos scouting out your campsite at night.

Q: Why did the chicken cross the road?
A: To show the armadillo that it can be done.

I'm amazed that you got to see an armadillo "on the hoof". Around here, their natural state is lying by the side of road, feet up...

My favorite sound....bacon frying in the morning

AT DAYBREAK.......just as I am waking up....the sounds of the birds...trying to identify the calls......the tappinng or the woodpecker or flicka.....and just LOVE the sound of my morning coffee gurgling and smelling oh so good.....ahhhhh............no worries.............be happy:goodvibes :goodvibes
THE SPINNER

You paint a purty picture there, you took me right back to one of our early mornings; picture it - the 1500 loop. We're all sitting around the picnic table, it's cool and drizzly but we're warmed by our oatmeal and cocoa. There are no sounds coming from anyone at the table because on the ground nearby is a woodpecker going back and forth between his own Trail's End Buffet stations of grubs in a tree stump and termites in a fallen tree. It's National Geographic - Live!!

Luv the splash sound of my daughters cannon ball at the pool...:beach:

Have to agree with the person who loves the sound of the clip-clops of the draft horses pulling the hayride wagon through "my" 300 loop every night. No sweeter sound to fall asleep to!

My absolute favorite sound was always the peacocks calling from the trees. Sadly, they are gone. :sad2:

The next favorite sound is the boat whistle....:cloud9:

Funny story about the EWP. On our first trip there way back in 2000, we had the camper in the 700 loop. It was our first night there. The kids were much younger and after the long drive from PA, we called it a night early. All of a sudden, LOUD music filled the air! It lasted to a good bit of time too! I couldn't figure out why Disney would allow someone to play such loud music at that time of night! Took a few moments for me to realize what it was!
